hi danny, struggling here, need to pick your mixology skills, have RY1 at 7% 80% vg 5 day steep totally tasteless could the high % of v/g be the problem, or is it the full on flavour of perique, as well as cigar juice that I'm used too, ho just a thought would
2% of pre mixed absolute pure be about right to mix with RY1 mix.

perique, as well as cigar are pretty strong so I would say 8 - 9 on the RY1 or 2 - 3% TA. Sounds like your used to strong tobacco taste may be even stronger then I like it. You may even want to consider dropping your base to 50/50. What mg NIC are you vaping?

Ok bumped up desert to 7%....NICE...I like it a lot! Made a huge difference from 4% Still working with the RY3 trying to find the sweet spot.

I love desert ship @ 7-8% with 1% AP. Anything less is weak. I found a 15ml bottle I made back in Nov and ended up adv'ing it for 4 days. Now I have a big bottle on the steep shelf.

I haven't posted lately because I've realized I can pretty much vape hs tobaccos anytime all the time. I haven't experimented for a while. It's almost too easy for me.

My goto mixes are:

Desert ship above
6-7% highway with 1% AP
7% Indian with 1% AP and 2% EM
7% magic mix
7% tab blended straight or w/ 4% tfa dry4
9% flue cured with 1% AP
8% ry1

I go 50/50 12mg on all. I've barely touched a dessert and haven't touched a fruit in 3 months. The only non HS flavor I vape is tfa black honey tobacco. I almost consider it a dessert vape and its awesome.

This thread changed my vapeworld. I think I'm done chasing flavors for a long time. I thank everyone for helping me get to where I am today. It's a great place.

RTS now has a huge stock of hangsen fruits, sweets and beverage flavors as well as tobacco.

Hangsen Premium Flavors

<sigh>
I guess it's too late to block you Danny. :D

The Indian at 5% with 1% Jamaican Rum has been my ADV for the past week or so. It's tasty but I mixed it at 70/30 and I'm getting dry as heck and a raspy throat. I just made up another one at 7% with a few additives (saline included) at 50/50 to see if it'll be easier on me.

Can you recommend another tobacco that's a bit more robust and with a bit more ash taste to it? :vapor:

I've kept all day vapes Arabic, Desert Ship, and Latakia for stronger distinct and more ashy flavors. Mixing at 7 to 9% with 5% water, and 1% Vape Wizard. I'm now dropping the AP after discovering the better flavors with ongoing steeping.

Have any of you tried the Hangsen 'Concentrated'? What's that one taste like?

Was looking aroun the net to find more percentage recommendations. Found this E-Liquid Calculator | Ejuicechina.com

Its implies its from hangsen and I've seen other reports that hangsen recommends 10-20% ??

5. Enter a % amount for the Flavor Concentrates that you would like to make:
- a Low Strength % = weaker taste: can be left at about 5%;
- a Medium Strength % = medium taste: can be left at about 10%;
- a High Strength % = stronger taste - can be left at 15-20%.

Not sure if this is really a hangsen recommendation or not. But if it is, my thoughts are that the amount you need depends *first on the type of atty your using, *secondly how strong you want the particular flavor.

This is what I'm thinking-

Low = rba,rda / high power strong flavor producing atty & builds
Medium = clearos, cartos with decent power
High = cigs likes, gas station style with very low power.

I have seen a lot of people in the uk are using around 10+ percent. Maybe they don't use many rbas or mods?
The reviews on this site show people unsing about 10% on average. DIY e-liquid Flavours

So maybe with some flavors I can go higher.

Well I'm using a vertical coil with external wrap in an odessyus it really intensifies the flavor. The most flavor of any build I've tried, so what I use will not correspond to what others will use i. Different setups. I know some were way way to strong at 5% and some were weak for my taste. Some I have at 3% some at 7 and maybe will be adding a little more to some of the flavors. What's good for me at 5% in my setup 'may' need 15% in a cig like pen e-cig. What I find great at 3% may need 6-9% in a clearo on an ego.

What do you guys think of this assessment.

Atty's do figure in the equation of flavor %, but another factor is VG/PG. I use 100% PG and have a Genisis atty, so 3% on my Hangsen tobacco's is plenty. I always say start low and add gradually from there until one finds their sweet spot. Afterall, tastebuds are yet another factor and we all have different tastes.

Never came across the information above but coincidentally enough, my recipes fall into the quoted range using variable voltage ego batteries at 4volts with EVOD cartos. Looking at my settled favorites, I find my Hangsen mix has been parked around the suggested percentages quoted. The only one I vape at 5% is Desert Ship which I find bizzare liking most flavors strong. Here's what my tireless experimentation has found for my perfect happy vape percentages. All flavors mixed with 24mg - 50/50 - and 5% water.

Arabic 9.5%
Deluxe 8%
Highway 9%
TAB 8.5%
Desert Ship 5%

Have you tried the hangsen USA red?

And how about that RTS. Makes you want to spend money right:) I just dropped another $50 this weekend on more flavors.

Which flavor would you describe is closest to smooth light flavor with a slight sweetness? The flavor I'm looking smells and tastes like fresh tobacco smells with a sweetness I can never describe. Desert Ship, Virginia and Flue Cured are not sweet compared to this one and have a smokey (or some stronger) taste I don't like. I have tried a USA Mix that wasn't Hangsen and it was like an overly strong maple syrup taste and smell to me (gross). I know it's one of their tobaccos, but I hardly taste the tobacco in it. It's not anything like RY4 either.

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere, but I didn't find it.

I'd recommend a few to try- Ancient is VERY light and sweet, Golden Tree and Golden VI are good and both have a honey sweetness. Of those I like Golden VI best.
