Your welcome... I think I may have to order some myself next order. Highway is getting to rich for me as I like little to no sweetness, but like nutty.
Just saying thanks to JeremyR for introducing me to Arabic, many pages back in this thread. Along with Indian, it's been one of my most favourite vapes for a long while now and I added it to an order after seeing your posts recommending it. I found the description above really interesting, as I'm extremely fond of spicy, though I hadn't considered the curry similarity before!
Arabic reminds me of Kraken rum which I also like quite a lot and I do get a slight whiff of a subtle chocolatey note from it, I should add that I only use VG liquid and no PG, perhaps that makes a difference to the final taste of it, I'm not sure. I guess I like a strong flavour, as I mix my Arabic at 7% (Indian at 8%).
Have you tried Hangsen #5? It is also nutty, just a bit less than Highway, and less sweet too.
Highway and #5 are my 2 main vapes, then Indian and Arabic. Arabic is a great flavor and to me it works great as an alternate, not as ADV.
Every Flavor manufacturer has a few good tobacco ones, but so far, i still haven't tried a Hangsen Tobacco that has disappointed me. IMHO, they are simply the best.
Yeah guys any hangsen I've tried has been decent and vapable. I haven't tried #5 I fear it's too weak for me.
I vape at 100% vg only with hangsens..

I agree. My very first impression, posted here, of Arabic was spiced rum at the higher percentage. The rum taste is too sweet for me.... I think 7% is way too much flavoring for Arabic, the flavoring will be over-saturated, and untrue IMO... Going down to 3% will let the Arabic spice shine through. Also I get a much stronger TH from it at 3%. Takes the rum sweetness away too...

One I've been thinking of for a while is Rainbow. It's been reported to be very spicy likened to jalapeños by Cessnapix. Could be good or bad...?

No.5 and T5 (Now discontinued) have been my main vape for 2 years now. At 7% add 1% AP to increase the nuttyness and it's perfect.
I ordered #5 thinking that it's very similar to Highway but stronger. I guess I got them reversed.

I don't know, To me no.5 seemed a little nutter then highway. Everyone tastes things differently.
Yeah it also depends on what flavor note your talking about. Sweet, nutty, or tobacco.
Ok I will mix some Arabic at 3% and try it! How long do you let it stand for before vaping it JeremyR? Thanks again!
About a week is good enough. Vaping it at 3 days right now and it's close enough. Rode on my dash board of the work truck for a day. That shakes it up good.
Your best bet is take some of the steeped 7% and cut it with nic base to 3 or 3.5, shake well and vape it. Easy way to test lower percentages without the wait.
*Oh I should mention I vape that off rayon wick in a flash-e-vapor dripper tank at 24w

I've got 2 different set-ups for my Arabic liquid, one is a Genesis Rocket Science Mods Doodlebug - I prefer to vape using a tank during the week because driving and being at work makes dripping a bit of a challenge. Second one is in a dripper for home use, set up with organic cotton wick. I'm a 1.0 ohm vaper using mech mods. I guess I like my tobacco liquids on the warm side too!
My experience with AP is that you may be able to go lower than 1%.
For example I easily get a strong nuttiness at 0.25%. At 1% for me the addition is overwhelming. I suppose I taste this particular flavor at very low concentrations more so than others.
I would still suggest that trying this out in tester size mixes is important till you find the percentage that suits your taste.

I think I will follow your suggestion about the AP, Maurice. I've tried it at 1% and the flavor is not very nice to me, like too overwhelming, to the point I don't perceive nuttiness but rather a cheap cooking wine bouquet! Will try it next at 0.5%, then at 0.25%.
I need to learn more about the Trimethyl Pirazine since i have a feeling i will like it better than the AP. So far it looks to me that none of the usual sellers carry it but only TFA. am I right?
Some have reported that there overly sensitive to AP. And the amount is really a personal choice. My personal taste calls for 1 - 2%. 1% seems to be the average for this mix. But as I always state. Let your taste buds be your guide because "mileage may vary"

Danny, i see you have a recipe for T5 plus AP + Trimethyl Pirazine. I've never used the trimethyl, could you tell us something about it? have you used it ever in a mix without AP? Thanks!
It's similure to AP but will also provide a chocolate note and almost a mossey, earthy top note that is so common in halo juices. Recommend .5%

Another factor may be the device you use; people clearly understand that some devices shine at producing flavor while others do not. As of late I have certainly learned the advantages of starting low with flavor percentages. In some cases way below what is suggested.
With AP, or any of the highly concentrated flavor molecules, pre dilution makes them easier to work with.
I'm still trying to get bready notes rather than corn chips (for me at 1% this is what I get) out of this molecules potential flavor output.
I do believe this flavor molecule does improve over time in mixes that are 50:50 VG/PG. I have a bottle of Who Killed Marilyn that was mixed with 1% AP that was made on Aug 29 that is while still not to my expectation far better than it was at the 5 week steep point. I do believe (for me, 0.25% AP would be about perfect assuming a similarly lengthy steep).
All that being said, I agree that DIY is an adventure in finding what works for you.
As well, I have gone back to some older mixes and found some have become spectacular with stupid long steeping and others ... yeah not so much.
I'd like to thank Dannyv45 for providing lots of bits of really good info throughout this forum. I've no idea if I'd have stuck with DIY had it not been for your involvement on this forum.
I don't always come up with great mixes, but at this point I don't mix anything I can't vape either. And at a year plus smoke free, I'm 100% sure I'm not going back to smoking and will rarely buy a bottle of juice.

Mine came in today. I came up with 40 drops per 0.5 mL with the metal needle tip bottles. We're only off by 3 drops in 40....
