two menthols for the wife...

If you ever branch out to using Super Concentrated flavors from Bull City Vapors, your wife might like the Turkish they sell; it has a nice cane mint shisha tobacco kick.....menthol-ish.

Just mixed up a batch of Black Label last night..... My wife is looking forward to this mix; she's been awaiting a nice clove vape. All other clove "flavorings" which I've tried to make work in a mix have been failures. The Black Label has promise!

@dannyv45 ,I think it's been said before, that if stored properly, the flavors can go for several years, and still be good be good. Is that correct?

That's true to a certain point. Synthestc flavorings will stay good for as long as it's suspension base stays good. SC bases are usually alcohol so it would likely evaporate before it went bad. The most common are PG bases and those will stay good for 10 years or longer. So synthetic flavors really never go bad. Hangsen uses synthetic flavoring components for flavoring and enhancing the tobacco NET it uses to make up the different tobacco types it sells. BUT the tobacco extract used in the product is organic and does have a shorter shelf life but this shelf life is upwards of five years or more. I have nets I've extracted well over 3 years ago which taste great and the taste only gets better with age. This would also be true with hangsen. I've just got back into extracting my own NETs and the month or so that I've been doing it I've noticed the drastic flavor changes each week as they age. This flavor change will peak after a certain amount of time then stabilize and become constant.

Those SC flavors from bullcity are very good. The SC Cohoba is one of my ADV's. Well worth the investment. Make sure you start at least 1% below the minimum recommended amount (2.5%) and work up. Those are some potent flavors.

I finally tried some Hangsen Virgina tobacco. I mixed it with some TA and set it aside for a few weeks.

I then got in a juice rut, and found the bottle, mmmmm amazing. I have vaped TA as a stand alone on occasion but it was missing something.

I just went to the buy Hangsen place and got one of every bacco they still had in stock.

I believe the consensus is some flavors benifit from old age, some not so much. Danny himself said some were weak before and he adds ta to make up for it.....

ive read most of this thread and im ready to take the hs tumble.
went to buyhangsen(from what they have left) and have 6 essences on their way here.
got two menthols for the wife...and for me i got magic mix,usa mix, black label and ry2.
im sure ill like at least a couple of them....
been mixing for a couple of years now, think im decent at it...
just would like a new direction i suppose...
probably will do nets sooner or later
so jeremy, i guess im going to have to pick your brain over on this thread too!!!
i see there are quite a few regular posters on this thread that really know what they are talking about
i like that!

Welcome Brian!

Hope you find some you like!

I know how you vape and I'd start at 3.33% for high power lung hits.

Depends on your perception I guess and how rich you like it, and how strong and overpowering your previous flavors were...

You can always adjust up or down... I've had no trouble with 3.33% at 35-40w single coil, on all hangsen tobaccos, but I tend to only use the stronger ones.. If its supposed to be a light or ultra light cigarette flavor, I accept it and don't try to add more to compensate cause the flavor isn't intended to be strong.. MTL I think does benifit from a little higher % up to 5%.

Remember the old timers at the beginning of the thread were at about 3-3.5%..

The BullCity Cohiba SC is a great vape, although I haven't figured out where I've had that taste before but never the less I made my first mix at 5% and mixed it with 6% Highway(5mls SC Cohiba-20mls Highway) and it took over, cut it to 2.5% and still strong in my highway but not as much. I now have a 1.25% steeping and think thats going to be the magic number, I wont be trying it out for a couple more weeks after a good steep. It'll make a nice background tone.
I'm not as happy with the HS Deluxe. I have a 5% mix and when I had a taste it has a chocolate tone to it...YUK but its OK if I add a mint and gives it a chocomint flavor but not one of my regular vapes.

jeremy i totally agree with that concept......
i wont try to turn a plow horse into a racehorse.
i may start at 4 then play it by ear..
my tastebuds seem to be not as sharp as they used to be
and with the fruity creamy recipes im usually satisfied in the 18-21% range.

Wow, you'll be using a fraction of the flavoring with hangsen. Even if you mix it real strong. You may need to desensitize your taste buds with some unflavored for a day to get ready for hangsen.
