I agree with your ENT.
Sorry you're allergic to penicillin. :(

Sounds like he cooked it too long, or too hot. :( Or both.

Sweet dreams Joey.

Yep, I should go soak. :)
Maybe. I might have to go check Pinterest and try them again. Or not. ;)

It's ok. Diagnosed with that allergy when I was 5 after a round of amoxicillin.

Enjoy your soak. :)

Nope, it does not work.
According to the ancient medicine practice of 'Ayurveda', raw honey is medicine, but cooked honey is a slow poison.

Why you ask??? In it's natural form, honey is rich in minerals, vitamins, enzymes, amino acids and carbohydrates. But heat strips honey of most of its nutritional value and transforms the honey molecules into a non-homogenized 'glue' that adheres to muscous membranes and clogs subtle energy channels. They go on to say cooked honey creates cellular toxicity and may lead to immunological dysfunction, clog arteries and lead to atherosclerosis (thickening of the arteries), plus, hampering blood flow to the vital organs. So knowing this..... we just eat the raw Ikarian honey by the spoonful or put it on Greek yogurt. I never use it in hot teas because of the above info. Hope this gives some food for thought. Geez, that is alarming. It makes sense about the heat stripping it of the nutrients. But we've always given warm decaf tea w/ honey to kiddo when he's sick. Yikes.

I debated doing that, just copy and paste, but was trying to figure out how to actually link it.
    Thanks. :)

    I follow them on FB.
I'd seen Ikaria, Greece mentioned as one of the "Blue Zones".
A "Blue Zone" is a place where an unusual amount of people live to be a hundred. There are several places in the world where it happens.
I read a really interesting book about Blue Zones a couple years ago.

I'm not sure that it's been medically proven. Ayurveda is a very ancient practice of medicine, actually the oldest surviving form, but much of it hasn't been medically proven...to my knowledge.:2c:

    Me either. Lol.

Sorry your having troubles with the forum. I notice it's weird for me almost EVERY morning now. Pages won't load, can't navigate.
Oh! That's terrible, have you cleared your browser lately? Sometimes it helps to log out of ECF and log back in too :)

Just found this...again, interesting, but I don't see an actual published study quoted.
    So, I would research further.
I've personally decided to NOT cook honey.
Does Cooking Honey Make it Toxic? | The Healthy Home Economist
I did a quick Google search and they were all over the place  Yes, no, yes, no ...

    Well...see why you dig deeper!!
I just found an article about pasteurized honey. Which is what we buy unless you buy RAW honey.
How about it was ALREADY heated to 150 degrees during the pasteurization process. :)

I will skip cooking with honey though, just cuz.
And I won't mix it with ghee cuz I don't really care for ghee. ;)
