I do not mind the temps but I do not like humidity.

Took dad to the bank and stopped by and pickup up a few things at the store. $1.99 for large eggs. Last summer I was buying them for $.53. Maybe they will go up high enough that dad lets me have a few chickens.

I doubt that will ever happen and I'm not sure I could take their eggs away from them. heehee It seems cruel but I sure love eggs.

I hate the temperatures and the humidity :p
We love fresh farm eggs! Rarely get any but DD has some chickens. Chickens I don’t mind but the rooster ugh!

We got a bunch of free meat again and it won’t all fit in the freezers so I’ll be cooking a ham and a sirloin tip roast this week. Such a hardship

My friend gave his chickens that had stopped laying to his neighbor (I am afraid they met their demise but I try not to think about it) but he just got 17 new chicks. I hope he starts bringing eggs to me again. Fresh is so much better.

My ex's grandmother used to have a turkey and it would walk beside me and scrape its wings on the ground. I am not sure why this scared me but it did. I would be afraid of roosters too. Aren't they mean? Or maybe they are just mean around other roosters. ;)

    Good evening lurkers :)
BBQ pork sandwiches for supper, not mine but some kind of pre-made thing we got. It wasn’t bad. I ate mine on top of a salad cause I didn’t want all that bread.

I think they are aggressive because of the hens they rule  Geese are mean! I wouldn’t know about a pet turkey

    Good evening ladies

Gosh eggs here are like $2.50-$2.99 depending where you go. No chickens in our future as I have an irrational fear of all birds

A little early for taco Tuesday but that’s what we had. Dh has a work meeting tomorrow night and is going to grab a pizza on his way home.

While both restaurants had minor issues we were very blessed to be able to spend time with all the moms ;)

I can only imagine how hot and humid it’s going to be where you are if we’re in the 80s by the end of the week.

    Hi Sara
I bet you’re looking forward to the 80’s though... unlike me ;)

I remember you saying that once before about being afraid of birds :?: Most of them I love, the only time one scared me was when I was a kid and startled some vultures on the ground feeding. I had no idea they were that big and ugly!

I am no longer a bird person Had a bare-eyed cockatoo that actually really liked me. Stay with me where ever I went. You have to spray their feathers down every day which Hootie loved. My ex told me one day to bring the bird to the shower while he was in there because Hootie would love it. That bird went berserk and did not love it. That bird never had anything else to do with me. Wouldn't talk to me anymore or nothing. Only talked to my ex. grrrr Oh well, I don't know if my ex still has him because my dad would not let me bring him here even though I said I would sell the bird. The vet told me the bird would hold a grudge against me for the rest of my life. They can live up to 60 years.

    That’s so sad Rat2 :(

    Good morning

Yes and no to those 80s, Dale. I’m afraid my summer clothes may be a tad tight

    Awww, Rat2, that’s so sad.
    Good morning Sara
Ugh! I’m having a clothing crisis myself

Good morning all. Another beautiful day here but windy. I would rather it be a good day for a kite than a good day for a duck. View attachment 974354

    Enjoy the day!
    Good morning Rat2
Mostly cloudy and warm here today, glad you have better weather ;)

It was a pretty nice day. Not very productive but nice. I whooped out a Stoffer's lasagna for supper. Hard to beat for ease and they taste pretty good too. I should have just eaten the salad but the lasagna smelled too good.

(I did pass on the best part - garlic bread)

I got some chores done and slow cooked a couple sirloin tip roasts, we had that and vegetables or supper. Was a little later than usual since DH didn’t get home till 6.

‘I would have eaten the garlic bread before the lasagna

Hope I can get to sleep earlier tonight. Dad has an appointment tomorrow with his cardiologist's assistant. Just a check on him since his hospital visit. I have called 2 times trying to get his lung x-ray scheduled. I do not know why it is so difficult. His doctor wants to make sure his lungs are not filling back up. They said they would call me back which they did not do today so I will give them tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a nice night and sleeps well.
