It was definitely a hot one. Even without the humidity. Hope you had fun with your grands.

Hot dogs, grilled veggies (same as yesterday) and chips/dip for dinner.

Can’t believe tomorrow is Sunday. But….5 working days and then I’m off for 5 I think I took more vacation days this year in the summer. I may just have to do that from now on. More seniority means better vacation time.

Hope you all enjoyed your day! We are going to play a board game and hit the sack early. Sweet dreams

Sending my daughter down to my sisters house in Florida for awhile, I kicked out Dana and her dog and Dannielle didn’t like so she is moving out also. Aggravated me one to many times!!!!

Hey all! Have you missed me?

Right after my last post, I checked on dad and did not like his breathing. Took him to the ER where we spent 14 hours before they moved him to a room.

Both his lungs have fluid again. For some reason, they do not want to drain them as they did in April. Using powerful diuretics and judging from the diminished swelling in his legs, they seem to be working. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I told him I was not going to be able to stay with him like I did last time. Looking on the bright side, this recliner makes my 60-some-year-old mattress at home seem like sleeping on a cloud. I will not complain ever again about my bed.

The office is closed for the 4th and I added two days to make it an extra long weekend. We do have a trip with my parents to Virginia Beach in a few weeks. I am really excited for that since we haven’t been in 2 years.

I would prefer to fly but it works out well because there is no telling where I would be right now. I am thinking somewhere tropical. heehee

When dad was finished with his lunch, I could not stop myself and I ate his untouched mac-n-cheese. It was delicious. That is one of my top 4 comfort foods.

They have dad sleeping in my chair now (which is what I was planning on doing). grrrr His bed is not much better. I would love to have one of these Smartbeds but I want an upgraded mattress and a charging station. heehee

The therapist came and got dad for a walk. While he was gone, it was a good time to change his sheets since no one else seems to do it around here. I honestly think clean sheets can make you feel better and since I don't have to wash them, I think it's a good idea. heehee

The PT girl said dad did really well. I happen to know he hurried along because he was missing his Nascar race. I know him so well. Yesterday, they said he would probably need oxygen when they let him go home. Tonight she said she did not think he needed it. That is really good.

For years dad has been drinking Lipton Georgia Peach Tea but I always just drink my tea. I bought him one down in the canteen and drank half of it and it was really good. Very peachy tasting.
I might have to start buying more of it.

Started a new book about a woman who lost her husband tragically and started a horse recovery farm. Of course, there is a new man in the picture now that we all know is going to show her she can love again. A guy with big biceps and a old motorcycle. The recliner might not be the only reason I don't sleep tonight.

I love a good book.

I'm gonna try to keep my fingers still and not bore you with posts of me and dad stuff. heehee Nite all!
