Was 17 this morning but our high is supposed to be 32.

We reached our high which was 30. Would not be so bad if the wind was not blowing. The feel like temp now is 19. Brrrr

I know. It surprised me too!

Got ALL the wash done. I guess Ken did not take me too seriously when I told him he was going to start doing his own. It was in a pile in the bedroom and I just went ahead and did it because I was cleaning. No biggie. I don't really mind doing the wash. I just hate putting it away. Guess I need to explain it again.

I also got 4 drawers in the half bath emptied. Not much left in there except in the medicine cabinet. I tossed a bunch of outdated prescriptions. I am going to call the drugstore. They used to get rid of meds for you safely. I hope they are still doing that because I do not want to put this in the garbage.

Not sure what's for supper. I just sat down and that is when I get tired. I have two speeds. . . zero and bustin' my rear.

Good morning Dale

I sure wish we didn’t get the snow we do But I know it’s better than tornadoes, hurricanes and forest fires.

Planning on purging stuff this weekend. Only problem with that is our town switched garbage companies and now we are only allowed one can. Unless we pat for extra tags. We can purchase another but not til March. We used to be able to put 6 cans out. We have 4.

A proper good afternoon Dale and Rat2

We did the grocery shopping, spent more than I prefer but Dh just cannot seem to help himself. I told him I’ve been to Aldi enough times to know what we can get from there. I will stay home going forward. Feel like I’m falling behind on housework anyway and I’d prefer some downtime on the weekend

Still snowing here and 17. Yuck.

Did some small projects I needed to get done and am working on dinner.

Garbage? 6 cans? That's a bunch. I have more now that I have 2 here but I don't have near that much. I did have a lot when my kids were growing up. I lived in the county so I burned most of mine. I would burn here if I did not share the cost with my neighbor. I like fires.

Hiya, Rat2.

I believe it was 6 30 gallon cans were allowed. We have 2 smallish ones and then 2 large ones. The most we ever put out was probably the 2 big ones at a time. Now we have one ugly green one issued by the company and all your garbage must be in it if you want it picked up. No extras, nothing sitting next to it, nada.

Pot roast, mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli for dinner. Tomorrow is chili. Looking forward to that.

Alright I'm off to watch some tv before bed. Sweet dreams, everyone

Now that is what I am talking about. In cold weather, there is nothing better.

I wanted something simple since I was tired from doing chores today so we had frozen Bertinelli (I think that is what it was) Chicken Alfredo and Broccolli. I added a big salad and garlic bread. It was not bad at all. I would buy it again but I might add some chicken to it. There was not much in it at all.

Ken is watching football. That was one of the first things I wanted to find out about him when I first met him. He said he did not watch much sports. He sure has been watching a lot of it so I questioned him on it at supper. He said he watches the last few games and the Super Bowl. Same with baseball. I guess I should have been more specific.

It's funny because first thing off, I needed to find out his political and religious views. There was no sense in wasting my time with someone who did not share my beliefs. He still tells everyone how I wouldn't give him my phone number for a month after we started dating.

We only have one of the big green trash bins, we’re really not supposed to burn stuff but I’ve been guilty of doing so.

Fixed DH some salmon with carrots and broccoli, I had a couple of hamburger patties with my vegetable’s.

Well, sleep is not happening the way I wanted it to. Watched the movie Napoleon. My gosh, my history knowledge is pathetic. In school, I was more interested in science.

I going to try to sleep even though I am not sleepy. I may be late for breakfast.

Hmmm, sounds like we were pretty spoiled with garbage allowance in previous years. I’m confident we will be fine with the one and maybe we will have to rent another dumpster this spring to get rid of excess stuff.

Everyone is spoiled these days, I remember when everyone had to burn trash or haul it to the dump themselves Although there wasn’t quite as much trash back then either not for us anyway. No pre-prepared foods and very little in the way of snacks in our house. We were quite poor. My weekly allowance was a quarter when I got old enough to get one . Course back then that would buy a coke, chips and candy
