    Good evening lurkers

We have a cool down on the way, but no snow.

Grilled dinner tonight  We had cheeseburgs, fries and I roasted broccoli. That was more for me than the guys.

Finished out my steps on the treadmill and now I'm ready for bed. Hope everyone had a good day!
    Good evening Sara
    ‘I had a productive day.
‘We had marinated chicken breast, green beans and leftover noodle dish.

I walked twice, can’t go long so I’m going more often. No where near what you girls do though, trying not to compare myself to you

    Sleep tight

    Good evening

Boys are at the hockey game, so I was on my own for dinner. I was naughty LOL!! Buttered linguine with parmesan cheese. I may or may not have eaten the amount I would make for all three of us ;) I have no discipline when it comes to this dish.

You will get stronger, and your conditioning will improve the more you do it, Dale. I promise.

Thank goodness tomorrow is faux Fri-Yay, it's been a long week. Hope everyone had a great day!

I’m curious, is Ken not working anymore?
Ken was here on a temporary job at the Honda Battery plant. I did not want him to return to work because GS Steel would have sent him to another state for a different job. I have since regretted that decision.

I honestly do not mind paying for us to eat and stuff because I enjoy it but the stuff I do not enjoy is the problem. I don't like the term "sugar mama" but I guess that is what I am. I know that is not good but I cannot hold it against him because my eyes are wide open. Is he using me? I do not feel like he is but I could be wrong. What do I know? I only know that I enjoy his company and he makes me laugh. I just am not sure I was ready to be in a relationship. I really do not know how due to lack of experience.

Boy, I sound like I am lying on a psychiatrist's couch! Sorry, this may have been too much information. I know I did not have to tell you this but I have always been an open book. I do not want anyone to worry about me though.

My cousin has stopped inviting us to go out to eat and she bluntly told me when her brother was here last weekend, that Ken was using me and they did not want to be around him. She even offered to tell him to leave. I told her I appreciated their concern but it was really my business and my eyes were open. Not sure what else I could have told her. I did not get mad but I will admit it hurt my feelings. I did not tell Ken because there is no need to hurt his feelings too. My life is quite a conundrum.

Well anyway, we have talked. One good thing is that I don't have a problem trying to explain my feelings and he is easy to talk to. If we decide to continue trying, he knows there are going to have to be changes, and getting a job is one of them. I should have found an older, established, retired man but I did not. So really, this is either a blessing or a lesson. I am not sure yet which one.

trying not to compare myself to you
You can't do that but I will tell you when I first decided to walk/exercise, I started just like you with shorter and slower walks. I always have joint discomfort with Fibromyalgia but it was much worse when I first started and at times, I was not sure I was going to be able to continue. Just listen to your body and do not get discouraged. I know, easier said than done.

We had leftover Manwich tonight. I hate to waste anything. But I wasted the sweet potato fries in the air fryer tonight. I thought they needed just a little more time and then I forgot to check them until I smelled a reminder.

Homemade slaw, sandwiches, and cantelope were enough though.

It has rained ALL day long and I told Ken I was going to the gym and then to pick up milk (he drinks so much). Well, he got his milk but I never made it to the gym. I have been overwalking lately so I do not feel bad skipping a day when I don't feel good.

I am going to try again to sleep all night. The off-and-on nights are getting on my reserve nerve.

    Nite all. Sleep well.

I left you an out if you didn’t want to discuss it with us.
Me? You know me well enough to know that I will answer any question with complete honesty. I am not sure if that is a plus or a negative character flaw.

    As long as you’re satisfied
I did not say I was satisfied.

Best wishes for a good nights sleep
Thank you. I am hopeful. I hate taking medication of any kind but I am close to taking a sleeping pill. After so many nights in a row, I start being weirder than normal.

    Good morning Sara
‘Slow I can do , steady I’m working on

Oh Rat2 maybe satisfied was the wrong word choice :( I just meant that you want to work on the relationship because he makes you happy in so many ways. Relationships require work and compromise and choosing to love through the not so lovable parts . ;)

    Good evening :)

Ahhhh the weekend is here.

We had pot roast, sweet potatoes and asparagus for dinner. It was actually pretty good. Course I added some Arby's sauce to my plate

Hope everyone had a great day!
    Happy evening Sara!
‘Supper was sooo good; last of the pork tenderloin with baked sweet potatoes and corn. We’re both hitting those sweet potatoes huh?

I had leftover slaw and peas so we had fish fillets with a salad and fries added. Not healthy but not bad. I walked and hour and a half after supper. I didn't mean to but I lost track of time because I was reading and it was at a good part. I'll finish it before I go to sleep.

I sat outside watching the deer eat tonight and there were not that far from me. I through out leftovers and cracked corn. I left a bowl out there for them too. I guess the one at it did not want the others coming close and he made a really loud huffing sound. I darn near soiled myself.

I do not have any plans for the weekend and that is okay with me. Hope everyone has a nice Fri-YAY!

    Good morning lurkers

It was so nice to sleep in even if I had forgotten to shut the alarm off. Lol. I rolled over and went back to sleep.

Love sweet potatoes, Dale :) Bonus that they are good for you.

Sweet that you can watch deer, Rat2. We have a bunch here but the only time I see them is when I’m driving  lol.

Hope everyone has a great day! We are sneaker, spring/summer clothes shopping and going to the Olive Garden for lunch. We have a bunch of gift cards to use.

I’m glad you got to sleep in a bit.
Me too! Maybe I just needed it or maybe it was because Ken's shoulder was bothering him and he went and fell asleep on the couch until 6 this morning. Hummm?
    1YES.gif

I love the Olive Garden but it’s much too expensive now for us, you’re lucky to have those gift cards.
It is rather expensive although I remember enjoying their all you can eat soup and salad. You reminded me that my friend Liz gave me a $25 gift card from there years ago and I have not used it yet. I hope it is still good.
Rat2 your deer huffed at you huh
Yes, it did and it was so loud! I've never heard a deer make any sounds except the leaves when they are walking. I put corn in a stainless steel bowl that has a ring and when they were eating out of it, it jiggled. I could also hear them crunching the corn.
    1YES.gif

I will admit that I have never eaten deer. I tried once but from the table, I could see the mounted deer in their den and I just could not eat it. I got teary-eyed.

Everyone said if it is prepared correctly it is quite tasty though.
