The sun is out and it is 62. Going to get up to 71. I wish Ken's shoulder was better because it is a perfect take for a ride. (Insert sad face here) heehee

I walked so much yesterday and am thinking about skipping the gym today. I have some Boxwoods in front of the house that need trimming. That does make me miss Dad. He would take hours on one bush. He took slivers off at a time with hand-held old-fashioned shears. Not me. I use battery-operated shears and attack those bushes. Doesn't take me nearly as long even though they do not look nearly as good.

Good afternoon ladies

Shopping was good for kiddo, a bust for me and I am stuffed to the gills. I am specifically looking for Hoka sneakers. Website said they had them but there was not a one in the store. No biggie, will order online. I'm in no rush.

It definitely is crazy expensive. We usually get a gc or two for birthdays/anniversaries. I'm sure your gc will still work Rat2, we've had these a couple years. I got chicken alfredo, ate half and will finish the rest for dinner. Glad you got some sleep!

We also stopped at the dairy for milk and I grabbed a strawberry cheesecake ice cream pie to take to Easter dinner. Planning on making the dough for lemon cookies later.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

I will admit that I have never eaten deer. I tried once but from the table, I could see the mounted deer in their den and I just could not eat it. I got teary-eyed. View attachment 1010507 Everyone said if it is prepared correctly it is quite tasty though.
Lols Rat2, sorry you couldn't eat your deer , I eaten quite a bit over my lifetime but don’t eat it anymore. Never was a fan.
Now I can go to town on quail, dad used to hunt them but you had to get quite a few to make a meal for a family of 4 .

    Bummer about the shoes :(

Yeah it’s easy to get two meals out of one trip to Olive Garden. I’d fill up on salad and garlic bread and bring most of my order home. Sad that the garlic bread doesn’t reheat well although I never tried the oven.

Hope you’re both enjoying the evening.

I bet you will never believe what we did tonight! It has been a very long time since I went to a concert and we went to see Lynard Skynyrd and ZZTop at the coliseum here. There was an opening band but I had never heard of them.

It looks like with what they charge for tickets, they would have a better sound system. I said the same thing the last time I went there years ago. I should have taken some earplugs because my ears are ringing just a bit. Ken came home with a headache and went to bed. I guess we are getting too old for concerts.

But it was something different and I am glad we went. What I am extremely glad about is my cousin (not the one that was rude to me) asked me if we wanted 2 free tickets. Now you know I would never turn down anything for free. We had pretty good seats but I would have never paid $160 for the two. Sheesh! In all honesty, I think I would enjoy buying a cd more than hearing them in person but it was exciting to go.

We went to Bonbon's before the show and ate ribs. They are simply scrumptious. The healthy eating didn't last long. Oh well, it was special and I'll go back to eating right tomorrow or Monday.

I am going to sit here until I get sleepy and then go run and get in bed. Hopefully, I can sleep again. It was so nice to get more than 3-4 hours. I got 5 hours and 10 minutes and it helped me.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

    Good morning everyone

Oh how fun, Rat2. Love Lynryd Skynyrd. My brother and I caught one of their shows several years ago at Darien Lake (amusement park with an outdoor concert space) Last concert I went to was Luke Bryan in Syracuse. I agree with ticket prices these days. My parents just went to see Styx at a casino and it cost $260. That is insane. But my dad really wanted to see them. We all chipped in and got it for him for his birthday.

Awwww, Dale. Hope you are having a great day with Kalli.

I ordered my sneakers online, they should be here next week. ;) Used up a couple more gc's.

Hope you all are having a great morning. It's beautiful here but chilly.

They must be excellent shoes. Where did you order yours from, if you don't mind me asking? I looked on Amazon and they were expensive.

I am so tempted to go back and get a black Sketcher Slip Ins. I have worn the white ones every day since I got them. I do hate to admit I like not having to bend over and put them on. I am getting so lazy in my old age.

‘’Not so great this morning Sara, woke up with a headache … weather changes last night I guess.

Kalli is gone now with papaw to hunt Easter eggs with his church people.

It is going to be another gorgeous day here. I love the sun!!!! I should go to the gym but I am leaning towards trimming those bushes some more.

Ken is still in bed. Must be nice! At least someone sleeps well in this household.

I am not going to complain because I did get almost 5 hours again last night. At least I am heading in the right direction.

    good evening :)

Dale, I'm sorry you woke with a headache. Hope you are feeling better now.

I ordered them directly from Hoka. There was 3% cash back on Rakuten. I got a pair of Bondi 8 for my bday after hearing rave reviews. They are my indoor/treadmill shoes. 3 months and a lot of use later, I decided to splurge and get another pair for work. The Clifton 9 are supposed to be great when on your feet all day, fingers crossed. Definitely more than I typically spend but so far it's been well worth it.

Ken sounds like Dh, he has no issues sleeping either. Must be a guy thing

Hope everyone had a great day!
