I think I'm going to pull the trigger on a Sophia w/D base tank but anyone have advise on the prebuilt coils (I will learn to build my own very soon) as far as 1.8 or 2.2 ohms? I keep going back and forth with this. I love warm vapes and huge flavor. I could care less about huge vapor.

Hey Angie, I just want to give you a heads up on building your own coils for the Sophia. I have the eBaron which uses the exact same coil/ceramic cup and I just built my first coil for it three days ago...successfully. I built two more the next day. If I can do it anyone can. Seriously. The Sophia will be perfect for someone, like you or me, who has little to no experience building coils. I'd like to buy Sophia as well but she's going to have to wait until after Christmas. So have no fear as far as building your own coils for her goes. :)

Also, I watched a YT vid on the SnP tank and was totally impressed with the fill holes. Don't get me wrong, I love my IBtanked but I have lifted them too much a few times when filling or changing tanks and dumped juice. It's def user error, but the holes seem so much easier.

I went with the medium resistance pre-built coils, figuring that they'd be the safest bet for me while I was learning to use the Sophia on the ProVari. I also preferred using medium or standard resistance cartos to low resistance cartos. By the way, if you haven't already completed your order, I would recommend getting (at least) two packs of the pre-built coils. It would suck if you fell in love with the Sophia and then had to stop using her because you ran out (oh, the horror!).

When I ordered the Kanthal Ready Wires I also went with a medium resistance (2.3). I find that with 2.3 ohms, my sweet spot with most juices is typically between 3.7v - 4.0v, (so...approx. 5.9 - 7 watts), and I never really go higher than 4.4v as to me things start tasting burnt.

And while on the subject of cartotanks I was wondering something. Is it just me or does anyone else not like the hiss that cartotanks produce? I was surprised by that when I tried my first cartotank set up a couple of weeks back. My eBaron is silent when drawing on it so the airy hiss of a cartotank has me not liking it as much. Are all cartotanks like this? I'm using a 19mm IBTanked with a smok 2.something ohm carto.

Maybe I'm weird... ok, you all know I'm weird... but I like the sound of the cartotanks. Not sure why, but I find that 'hiss' reassuring & comforting.

This makes me feel a lot better and baghandler also said the same. I was starting to get super nervous cuz on the byLeo thread, these guys were talking about welding/torching and all kinds of stuff that I know I'm not ready for. So I have talked myself out of, back in, back out, back in at least a dozen times on this Sophia!!!

I went with the medium resistance pre-built coils, figuring that they'd be the safest bet for me while I was learning to use the Sophia on the ProVari. I'm actually going to take your advise and buy extra pack of prebuilt coils. I plan on getting BOTH ohms and figure out which I like the best.

Maybe I'm weird... ok, you all know I'm weird... but I like the sound of the cartotanks. Not sure why, but I find that 'hiss' reassuring & comforting.

If you're weird, I am too. I have no idea why I like to hear the sizzle sound. If I don't, I feel like something's wrong. Maybe cuz I'm use to it from when I first started w/clearos. Even a small pop now and then made me smile.

I love to hear my carto's snap, crackle & pop!

This probably has been asked I'm sure hundreds of times and if so, I apologize. Lead me to the proper thread and I will go from there. I'm asking ProVari owners to think through their arsenal and pick the one and only carto tank set up they could not "live" without or would recommend ONE on a ProVari for:

Best Performance
Best Quality Flavor
Least amount of hassles
Best looking on the ProVari-(it has to look good right?)

Any pics would be great too. There are a ton of carto tanks out there and I'm needing to expand my collection of three, yes I only have three.

I'm saving $$$ now and hope to buy 3-4 new ones in Jan. I already have my eye on a few but before I pull the trigger, I'm wanting ideas of what current ProVari owners think. Thanks

The GP SnP is my current favorite due to ease of filling and great looks. Pictures above with SnP with SS Tank, Provari skirt/apron/cone, with the Hippo V2, etc. Great looks, great performance. Not the easiest to change because tolerances are pretty tight, but the tank will never leak on you, or at least mine hasn't. Beautiful too. Good luck!

Tripple digits half way to home
Note - there was an AMP tank in the classies a day or two ago...

I'm just shifting to tanks now, and I don't like rebuilding anything, so I'm straight carto. Haven't decided on best performance yet, I've got IKV, Boge and Smok all lined up to try out. So far, I think the Ikenvapes may be best, but it'll be a while til I'm certain...

I've got IBTanked; one haven't-used-it-yet tank from VapeRev, and 3 different Kir Fanis tanks.
I've got to say I'm totally happy with the KirF's and will probably stick with them for a while!!

ProVari-brothers-1_zps7fe834e3.jpg

This is my favorite for my Provari's. I've got all three of them with the Zanto's drip tips to match. The special is numbered 0404 and the Veradero is 0450. Perfect match for teardrops and dimples.

Where do you order your Kanthal Ready Wires?

I have the SNP 22" & 23"--I consider then the 'black tie' of the collection-
(need to get some good pics for these)
The KirFanis Varadero and Privi--are the suits (need to take a pic of the Prive
-
Then there are-the SS1 --both stainless brushed and polished--very nice, solid and well machined--they are the 'dressy casual' group--since they haven't been shown here--I will post pic

Then there are the IBT--I consider these the 'comfortable go-to" for just about any occasion--they can be elegant- a little dressy-casual or they can simply be a great lounge go to--sometimes even 'playful...
IMG_2653.jpgphoto 1 copy 2.jpgphoto 2.JPG

The Cirrus--each one unique and can go either way--but are like the "I" personality style--they want to be noticed.

The Phiniac tanks--they are rugged and reliable, and comfortable--and they are much like a T-Shirt because you can display your interest for all to see.

Then there are a few that you can just be whimsical and have fun with adding different things to accessorize for the season or the occasion!
Just my take on the ones that I have collected so far! :2cool:

WOW! Love how you have tanks for the dressy affair down to casual. I have a long way to go with tanks, obviously!

I used to get very green in the face seeing all those pretty's but as time goes by I must say that is just about gone.

I use all those gorgeous pictures as inspiration of what is possible. I have such a smorgasbord of tanks its hard to get organized.

The two I use most are here, in Stormy's words

The peacock and the chicken.

there is always tomorrow and the day after that and next year to bling out the Varis, btw the red one is on loan.
