I'm a vaper really can't be bothered with all these subsets and each group has more then it's share of idiots, at a time when we need to be united we seem determined to get into some stupid competition you couldn't make it up could you.

lol don't feel bad OP, I feel left out because I don't know how to rebuild my own coils, and I am on the fence whether or not I want to get involved with that! Though with the possible vapepocalypse, I think I should learn...

Yeah, I'm going with the "coil stockpile" strategy. :)

Good idea, that last part. There's a learning curve, but it isn't hard to do and quite safe once you learn what you're doing.

100ft of kanthal costs $6.
A bag of cotton balls costs $1.
That's enough material to wrap litterally 100+ coils for $7.
Hand made coils last months not days.

Add up the cost of 100 prebuilt coil heads.
;)
If you can wrap a wire around a toothpick you can build coils. It's really that simple.

Using an iPhone takes more skill.

I haven't decided which term is lamer, tootle puffer or mod womper, they are both horrible names as far as I'm concerned:D

I refuse to ever say that. Not sure why, but it just bugs me. Maybe because my wife, teenaged kids and friends would pummel me if I did.:D

I do vape at 8-10w/1.9ohms quite often, but I just can't bring myself to use that term. :)

You could be a Poodle Tutter

Or a Toofy Poodle

Or a Toofy Pooter

If you're using a foot of wire per coil, you're doing something wrong ;)
Unless you're doing multi wire coils of course.

The names are just fun and games, but a lot of vapers have found it useful to be able to identify others who vape the same way that they do, so they know where to ask questions.

btw modwompers can chuck clouds AND stealth vape :D

Thanks! That thread about Tootle Puffers is very funny, but not very enlightening. I guess I need to read the specs for my e-cigs, but yeah, I think I'm a tootle puffer. :) Who came up with that name?

So low-resistance means more vapor? Trying to figure out the "why".

ANTZ - got it.

It was a joke, to @Katdarling, in some other thread -- so she started the tootle puffer thread, for those of us who are NOT into "cloudz bro". The whole thing really is a joke, but it does identify us low-wattage, high-ohm, usually-tight-draw vapers (there are a few lung-huffers in there too; we give 'em grief ;)). Most of us are just in it to keep from smoking, not make any sort of statement or spectacle.

Low resistance means more heat, which means more vapor. Now that there are mega-wattage mods, it's really not necessary.

ANTZ are just hellspawn trying to rain on our parade so they can keep making tons o'money.

And vape very cheaply too! I just realized this past week that I've used only a quart of PG since late 2014... and I vape 87% PG!

Sub-ohm vaping isn't all about Cloudz Bro.
Usually that distinction only comes from people who don't understand their gear.
Sub ohm doesnt equal clouds.
It's a resistance value that means nothing without other variables, and has become a catch phrase for the uninformed.
Some atomizers are designed for lower resistance builds and work better when built correctly.

same attitude I find at the local vape shop.I guess cloud chasers have to look down on the rest of us to feel good about themselves.I use both types of tanks. some flavors taste better in a low power tank but a few taste better in a sub ohm tank.

Do you really think you're going to be using the same tanks that those coils fit in 6 months or a rear from now? If you hang around ECF, that's rather unlikely. ;)
