Vlad why don't you try the V2 RBA heads for the STM they work great. I changed all my STM's over to that. Their new air flows kinda suck the latest is a 3 setting wide open, go counterclockwise to the middle position which is now tighter, then the super tight. To get the same air as the model before this one on the middle setting you need to set it so that it gets some air from the wide open and the small hole. Don't know why they changed it I thought the dual air flow the way it was was perfect. Then I saved the V1's for spares just in case. The worst about them is the set screw that holds the chimney is so tiny if you lost it on the floor it would be gone for ever.

Hey come on check out the photo's @Vlad1 is no where near as good looking as me

I have a mix of v1 & v2 bases, with the modded v1's out performing the v2's and good for work as they can drain that last dram of juice mate

IDK I think I'm much more handsome. :) And yea the note about getting the last dram of juice with the modded v1 is right on. My son purchased the v2 base and although he loves how it performs the height of the holes leaves juice in the bottom when the wick starts drying out. My solution to get a better vape and every last bit of juice was a dremmel. Although I frequently use the Crown when I want a warmer vape I go back to the STM and always have one ready for a quick swap.

Well I put the Cigatron Super 6 ;) in the SQRs last night and of course to use a machine screw for a coil, you need a left handed version for the SQRs... Having no such beastie in the big ole box o' screws, I did a wrap on a 3mm screwdriver with the compress and let spring back option.

Mounted, wicked with Rayon and juiced, I fired it up at 35J/451F and I'ma just not loving it the same as the Kanthal build that was there previously. Going to try a 2.5mm build later on to see if it comes back as it was, otherwise the Kanthal build will go back in.

The "Cigatron Six" is a TC build with Titanium, works great on a DNA200, I use a 3mm ID rod, and space my coil manually, not a threaded screw, but same deal, vapes great at 470-500 degrees F. Not sure how one compares to a Kanthal coil, in power mode, two different beasts!

That was an Unk Ti build in the iPV D2, I had brought it up to 500F for a bit but I am thinking the 3mm coil is killing a little of the flavor on the W deck.

I do find that a 2.5mm coil has better flavor in the FeV V3 as well over a 3mm coil.

Could be wicking

I keep mine fairly loose in the coil , wick coil thickness in the horizontal juice channel

Trim 80% where it ends and V shape the last 20% and tuck in to the verticals channels

Chain vapes no problem like that

It's my basic STM build with the RBA 2, can't speak for other tanks.

My coil is packed a little tighter with the Rayon, tails trimmed in the vertical channels, it vapes well and has no problem with juice feeding. I still need to put a 2.5 in there and see, but there are Christmas decorations to be put up and rebuilding doesn't have any WAF right now.

WAF Wife Acceptance Factor

Had to google that but she never allows anything that does not benefit her so no surprise I had not heard of it

Ah thanks for the info about ti oxide not being brown. Didn't think about it. Here's some pics

I've bought several types of wire and every time I go back to the same ft ti you have. On ft the LTQ titanium is pretty good also. I have compared the wire you have with other known grade 1 ti wire and it's resistance is all the same + or - .01 or so, and that is most likely the build being slightly different. I've also done some dry cotton tests and it did just as well as the others. I clean the whole roll at one time with my wife helping and then I'm good to go. Even when I clean that wire you have I really don't get to much dirt, there is a little bit but only one brand of ti I got came 100% clean looking. What I really like about this wire is it's not springy like a lot of other ti wires. That is to bad you got a dirty looking spool but just so you know I have bought 8 of those same spools and never had one even close to that dirty. I think you just got the bottom of the barrel or something lol. I'm sure it vapes just as good though.

I would get 26 and then 24. I very rarely use 24g ti, I use 26 and 28 the most because I Clapton them and fuse them. I would atleast get 24 and 26 then if you like it get higher gauges. This is the titanium I always get from fasttech and I think it's great. I've tried a lot of different titanium and I always go back to this. This is a photo from another person just a few pages ago but just clean it with rag and alcohol or something like you would with any titanium.

How is the LV's, Ti wire? I noticed they recently started carrying it. Is it really grade 1? Is it clean?
It's super clean man. I've ordered like 4 spools from LV so far and 1 from FT and I won't even vape the FT stuff I think I'll just trash it.

I posted pics earlier in this thread. I tried to clean it but afterwards it was still dirty as crap.

Yeah that pic above is mine. The wire I got is no good. I scrubbed and scrubbed but still brown in parts.

Everytime I clean the LV Ti there is very minimal color on the alcohol-soaked paper towel I use. It comes pretty damn clean.

I have finally caught up too all the posts in this thread. ..and if i wasnt already committed to vaping....i would probably throw all my gear in the trash. ...go to the corner store.....buy a pack and to hell with vaping...

I often feel that way when I research new info... Except for me, it's not the commitment to vaping that stops me but the trip to the corner store to buy a pack. I've done that for way to long and it's just pure insanity....
