Control is a main purpose of religions. Not spirituality and the supreme being, etc but the man made religion organization.
Everyone else is wrong therefore you must make them do like you.

Precisely why I am not a member of ANY religion.

@Taxguydave, you're so right. I actually started out life as an Electrical Engineer, but I focused on software (so no, don't ask me to wire a house, either!) Didn't really feel good about my career choice, and I wanted to get into accounting software. Went back to school to get my license, but only to have "cred" with clients. Did a bit of tax work early, but ran away from that as quickly as possible. I can barely do my own tax return these days

Lots of props to you EAs. The thought of someone walking into my office with a shoebox full of receipts gives me a rash. I'm glad there are folks like you who choose to do that :)

I'm an accounting software systems consultant.... a.k.a. NERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRD

I once saw a t-shirt that said, "I'm not unemployed. I'm a consultant!"

A little tootlin' music for those of you who enjoy a little blues guitar.

Excellent. Thanks!

It's a quarter of beer here.

It has begun. 90 minutes ahead of schedule!

The funniest thing about my new shiny is that it's a Sage. Ironically enough, most of the accounting software I support is offered by a company called Sage (Sage 100, formerly known as MAS90/200; Sage BusinessWorks;and Sage 50, formerly known as Peachtree) Too bad I "can't" vape at work. My boss might get a bit of amusement from this :D

I was always just a nice guy. Can't help it a failing of mine I suppose. The bad boys always got the ladies...
Never needed a fear of a eternally toasted .... to keep me being nice to people.

working retail can make you hate people in general though....
but you do not have to like someone to be nice to them.

I agree too. Im not a non believer but most all organized religions seem fake to me. Yet my mom is one of those who goes door to door spreading the word. I know just enough of the good book where anyone who wants to try to get in my face and preach to me usually wont make that mistake twice.
My mom did ask me to stop standing on my porch, smoking cigs and drinking beer in my boxers when her church people knocked on my door and out of respect for her, I said yes mam :D

I have a BSEE myself! But anyone who comes into my office with a box, bag, envelope or other container with a bunch of loose receipts, I ask them if they've totaled it up. If they haven't they quickly learn the meaning of the term "tape fee". Like I said, I'm not an accountant. If you want to give props to us, though, give us props for passing the damn Special Enrollment Examinations. About 1/2 of my practice is IRS representation.

I used to use Peachtree for a while when I reluctantly agreed to do some bookkeeping for a tax client. I really liked the interface.

I thought that boxers were considered "business casual" in Loozeeanna.;)

Hey @Katdarling --Where are your Denver Broncos shoes?!!

I guess I was just afflicted with an abysmally long adolescence, along with being the "stupidest smart person" you'd never want to know. :D But when I started realizing that the shambles of my life was ALL my own doing, I set about fixing it, and changing it. Lo these many years later, I finally have a life that's worth living in. :thumb:

I should have realized when I took the cap off that Capella's cola flavoring is really strong. I tried to make a "Coke Float" juice with that plus vanilla and sweet cream flavors, but it just tastes like cola. It does taste good, actually. Just not what I was going for. I'll have to try it again using half as much cola flavoring. Anybody here have any suggestions? I've never used their Sweet Cream flavor before, either. Is that one that you need to go heavy on?

It's 'cause we're afraid to go outside. People outside are mean...

I hate mine (Genitank Mini) 'cause it whistles and leaks.

Then that ain't much. Please accept my sympathies.

That's not what he meant. Or maybe he did mean it, but was simply mistaken. The passes are to leave, not to get in.

You know that isn't what happened, Rixsta. You got drunk and passed out. When you woke up, the old place was closed up and you were locked in. You escaped from a window, lost your wristband and wandered the streets, completely ignoring the signs that said "This Way To The New Tootle Lounge". Kat saw you wandering and threw a drip tip at you to get your attention.o_O

2 stone sounds so much better than, say, 12.7KG or 28 lbs.;)

It's never too early or too late for science! What about viscosity?

Love the CAP double apple. Made a batch of double apple ejuice with it last week. Very crisp flavor. Tastes more like Granny Smith apples.

My mom bought me the single so I wouldn't go on and on singing it with the wrong lyrics. But I learned the lyrics and continued to drive her crazy anyway. I didn't have much of a singing voice at 5. Still don't, really.

Slowly, I think I'm beginning to Tootle Puff..

Ahh Chet his passing ended the news as just the news without slant or spin.
yeah now they are just a bunch of paid actors who leave the truthful parts out
The laws have changed. The news no longer has to be fair. There's no longer a requirement to represent both sides fairly. News is now legally considered entertainment.
You def get what I felt like having gone through a similar experience, thanks for sharing. Funny now she has gone I'm off the meds and feeling much better.
Right, back to the fun ;)
I didn't realize just how bad the abuse was until I was free of it. Eating what I want. The freedom to fill my home with my own personality. It was wonderful!
When they come to my door I ask them if they want to come in and take a bath with me.
My brother yells at them, with his gun sticking out of his waistband.
I always tell them that I'm a Druid. Then I spend the next 5-10 minutes explaining to them what that means. Still a waste of time, but more fun that way.
That does sound like fun.

A druid (Irish: druí; Welsh: derwydd) was a member of the educated, professional class among the Celtic peoples of Gaul, Britain, Ireland, and possibly elsewhere during the Iron Age. The druid class included law-speakers, poets and doctors, among other learned professions, although the best known among the druids were the religious leaders.
