So this happened to me this morning:

20151112_104725.jpg

Pocket tank death. Now this was the tank that came with the "vape pen of unknown provenance" that I picked up a the liquor store to upgrade myself from a cigalike. The next week was when I picked up the Kanger T3'D tank and eGo twist.

The questions: is it fixable or do I need a new tank? Is "pocket tank death" a common thing?

Not being able to positively ID that, I'd say not fixable. You might be able to secure it with, say, food (or aquarium) grade silicone, but unless you already have that, would likely cost more than a replacement. And might not work well or be trustworthy anyway...

I never pack a mod in pants pockets, just to avoid that kind of early demise. Very little of the gear we use is designed to bend.

Its already broke so what ya got to lose. If it was me I would clean it real well, dry it and then use some elmers white glue on it and slide it back together. Give it a day to dry and try it, if it dont leak its a win, if it does leak ya aint lost anything.

I don't think the glass is the issue, it looks to me like the chimney frame has pulled away from the base.

I don't think I would ever buy a vaping item in a liquor store. Any store for that matter. I have gone into a vape store to pick up an emergency juice and sit a few minutes, but, internet is always cheaper and I have received a lot of guidance here.

What are the brand and model names for those?

Ahhh, Protanks. When I was buying them, they were $10-13 on line. That was aways back, though.

is it BROKE ?
is it GLASS ?
from pic it looks like it just 'popped' out

many of those toppers are just a 'friction' fit
they just press fit together

clean all VERY good, and carefully squeeze it back together (if it's plastic)
:)

I think so. Seems to be a polycarbonate tank not glass.

OK now that I see what happened
NO; - doubt you'd wanna try a fix...
save parts (tip / coil / base / O-rings)
throw rest away, it's junk

:(

That's kinda what I figured.

Thanks for the suggestions everybody :)

Maybe I can use this to help convince the wife to let me get a nice aerotank.
