I would say not. For me, TP'in is all about low power, mouth-to-lung vaping. What's important to remember though is that TP'ers don't discriminate, all are welcome :D
Exactly! I see the "other side" talking trash about us saying we complain about them and discriminate against them...getting all "up in arms" if a MW comes in our midst. I haven't seen that. What is more, generally I think the TP camp is pretty indulgent and friendly with the MW. So long as they aren't actively trying to convert us! :p

Yes, but I've heard that the VS NI200 coils for the nautilus were kind of crappy. I'm satisfied running my Kabuki's on my unregulated devices ;).

I got the HCigar VT200 and so far (knock on wood) it's been fantastic! I really like the vape and to date, I've been using it solely with the Subtank. I have the original Subtank Mini (the 22mm one with single sided air flow) and use the 2 hole air setting with a 4mm (hole) drip tip. It is direct to lung but at 420 degrees is a very nice, smooth draw. I did buy some NI200 wire and tried it on a dripper but that's not for me...

My first experience with the Subtank was horrid. I found it hot, harsh, and no matter what coil I used, found it totally unsatisfactory. Now, with the TC setup, I can say that I'm really enjoying the vape ;)

Give SS430 a shot, great wire that works on both TC and Regulated's or Mech's.

200' is $10 at Unkamen supplies. 28AWG.

What's the difference between that and SS316 wire?
I just checked their web page and read the description. Is it that it's nickel free?

@Eric Auer - can you help a sistah? I'm looking at Steam-Engine, trying to "wrap" my head around SS wire. I know with Ni and Ti wire, its intent is to run between 0.1-0.4 (Ni) and 0.1-0.8 (Ti) ohms. How does SS play on a conventional (non-TC) mod? To not have to wrap into the next zip code, I'm still getting pretty low resistances. Could I wrap a 0.5 ohm coil and run it on my iStick 50 as well as my Cloupor Mini+ in TC mode?

Can you point me to some educational resources?

Thanks :)

I don't know about a Cloupor Mini in TC mode, but yes you can on a VTC mini in TC mode. I've been swapping my SS coiled (0.5ohm) eGo ONE RTA between my Radius and my VTC mini with no problems (I had to update the firmware in the VTC first though).

@gt_1955 - thank you :) - I am rifling through the Steam-Engine calculators, but I see folks talking about running the SS coils on non-TC devices. So, if that's viable, what's the rationale for not just switching to all SS, instead of a mix of Kanthal, Ni200, Ti, and SS? There's discussion that Ni200 isn't all that great, and that Ti (above certain temperatures - which I don't ever see myself hitting) could be toxic. After whizzing through the calcs, I'm building coils with a resistance range more like Ti, but it's potentially safer?

Can it be a tension coil or does it have to be spaced like Ni200?

I'm pretty happy with my Kanthal - but, I know it, and it just *works*. However, I have a couple of TC rigs now, and I'm trying to see what that's all about. I can run them in VV/VW mode, so I'll always be able to use them.

I have not got to try it yet, but I do not believe it needs to be spaced, even in TC mode. :)
@Eric Auer Has been running SS430 in VW and on his Clouper Mini+ plus in TC mode, he did not space the coil. So he might be able to answer more questions. :) He posted a picture, and it was the same build and atty used for both VW & TC if I remember correctly..

So glad to have seen this! I just came here to find out if I'd be kicked out since my newest toy has turned me into a lung hitter.

Here's the culprit:

Nobody gets kicked out here. Besides, that's a fine Tootle Puffin Rig ;) (even though it's sideways (next time, spend a little more and get one that's right-side-up (gotta watch out for those bargin bins ;))))

Yeah but for $2.90 shipping included I don't mind leaning left to hit on it.
