Who's staying up PARTYING/OUT of the HOUSE on the Eve of the Newest Year?
Soitanly not me. Even when I drank, I stayed home on new year's eve. Too many drunks out and about!(and people who can't hold their liquor shouldn't drink it!)

TJ, you stole my line! I haven't been out on NYE for years. I'll have some frenz over - we'll play games and shoot the breeze and have some "Sparkling Mommy juice" to ring in 2016 (if I can stay awake that long) Anyone NOT sober will be spending the night (don't mess wif me if I take your keys....) Too much sad (and liability) if something would happen.....
If any of my neighbors shot off "fireworks", I'd be shooting off some too.

She'll be shivering in the basement under the stairs or under a table. We had some 'kinidiots just a couple houses down set one off on Fourth of July. Came into the house and found she'd torn carpet and a door frame because we were all outside and she was in the house....

That's the thing I hate about New Years Eve. All the fireworks in the neighborhood - no matter how awful the weather - scares my dog pretty bad. So I'll be sitting with her until it's over.
Same for our cat.. but then, she's pretty much terrified of everything that isn't a) food, or b) us, so we mostly just laugh at her, diving under the bed to her "cat cave."
We got her one of these for xmas:
and she's not really sure what to do with it.
Still hasn't figured out that the "strings" are edible, but she does like to play with those... just not the pull n play device. Andria
@Oregon Linda and any others with "skittish pups" I'm going to try this - just have to find a strip of cloth long enough to get around my big girl's chest and shoulders....
Over here there are usually organised fireworks displays but you need a license to let them off. Its forecast to be really hot with firebans so I predict many of the fireworks events will be cancelled just in case they start a bushfire.
I love fireworks and the thump in your chest when they take off, I just don't get to see them very often now.

I'm not overly fond of them "up close and personal". I have always been adverse to "loud, sharp noises" ever since I was a child. DO NOT even put a child with a balloon (eh, doesn't even need to be a child) near me. I go psycho.
They are pretty, don't get me wrong. Just can't handle the noise.
Couple of years ago, we had an extremely dry summer - couldn't even do fires in my firepit in the back yard. A few fools still set them off, but no damage.
Ever heard of a "Thunder Cape"? Supposedly it puts pressure around them (kind of like a "hug") and supposedly calms them. I've tried a Thunder Cape on Journey (and herbals and benadryl and Rx that's supposed to put out a horse) to no avail.
My dogs hide under anything they can find if they even hear a Boom, or for that matter even see a Gun!! When I lived in the country and could shoot from my back patio(No houses or roads near, etc.), it just terrified one of the dogs!
Iv wondered if its in their Genes to recognize a gun, because I have had a dog(Puppy really) run and hide the FIRST time it ever saw a firearm? Actually, more than one dog.. Very strange...
BTW they love going under my desk and getting wrapped up in my cords/cables, really makes me mad lol

Vaping my own juice, on my own coils... Feels good.
Oh, and my tasting issue? No longer a problem. After beginning with RBA, I get good flavor out of anything. Have vaped hazelnut all christmas and it tastes just as good as it did on the first drag
Bought 5 authentic and 5 clones RBA heads, so I'll go once a month to rewick all of them and switch out the coils whenever they need a rewick, and pop in a new fresh one

And tried zero nicotine the whole day. I was craving vaping just as much, but the actual hand to mouth was 90% of my addiction appearently. I managed the whole day without. Even zero nic was enough to make up for my cravings. Put my 8mg juice back in as I have no plans of stopping nic yet, and got a nice little buzz
