Looks they are out of stock on both, pokemom. :(
Sigh. They weren't last night and I forgot to post this, so I woke up this morning and did it. Sigh. Sorry for the inconvenience, I think I'm going to try to remove the post. [emoji22]

A couple of us are using ecowool in the Spheroid/Xploras ... same setup as a Prometey (although I'm not sure if looping 3mm is advisable)
I didn't end up using the 3mm Eckowool, it would have been quite the large loop. There were a couple of 6" long 2mm silica wicks and some smaller ones in with the bag of FeV parts that I used instead.

On a 2.5mm contact 28g coil I pulled a 1mm piece of silica through and then folded the 2mm in half and pulled the loop through with a piece Kanthal. I pulled the loop up and even on the one end and trimmed the loose ends on the other to reach the polyfil.

How tight is the Silica supposed to be in the coil? Is it better to use a spaced coil and just wrap it around the Silica using a pin for support?

Thanks!
Silica usage was before my time... ;):D

Roxynoodles posted images on the toodle puffer gear thread, if you are interested.
I decided I am not because with fluff you lose top filling.
I use it as a dripped too.

Hmmm.... how else would you fill it, if not from the top? It doesn't have one of those pesky "fill holes" on the bottom.

Just using it as a plain dripper, it's really only good for tasting, because no way I'm gonna go around dripping for every hit.

Are those prometey's working well then. I saw some at the German site and had been dithering then I bought some herons on the classies here and I should get to play with them next week.
I am using them in straight dripper mode, don't have any of the poly for the top yet. I have a .9 ohm 316L coil at 2.5 mm ID with rayon wicking and the flavor is great at 10 watts. The other is a 1.5 ohm kanthal and is good but not as good as the other. I have hardly used my kayfuns in the last week. Of course new toys get all the attention.

Well, the Achilles is a Prometey with a HUGE well. The deep well is one of my foremost requirements for an RDA. Which is why I also like Magmas, though their well isn't as deep as the Achilles'. Also I require RDAs that have threading top-caps, rather than those stubborn o-rings to wrestle with, HATE those things.

At some point I may try the Prometey with the fiber filling, see how that does. To me, that seems sorta like a DIY 22mm carto. :D And I do like cartos! I just can't use real cartos, because my juice gunks so fast.

I got some of those bridgeless attys from the Bank Vault sale. I had always heard on the reviews and such how great the flavor is with those. Meh.. not impressed. Ok but my T3 tastes better.

An atty is not an atty is not an atty...it depends on the brand for a 510 atty :)
