And my mechs have no timer aside from my feeble brain.

True... but my own feeble brain nearly has a shutdown when it's not hitting right, and there's no little screen to tell me WHY?!?!?!?! They always seem highly prone to loose connections, misfires, silly stuff like that. they're very basic, and that's why they're great for longevity, if we stop being able to get all these nifty electronic gizmos... but not very reliable if you just want to vape and not tinker. And this is a diehard coil-builder saying this -- building coils is fine, but having to tinker with any sort of machine... really not my thing at all. After I have to unscrew, rescrew, unscrew, rescrew, 2-3 times, I'm ready to park it in the drawer and use my regulated mods, and hope the vapocalypse never gets here.

I still love my Vamo v2s. That's all I vaped on for almost 2 years. Currently I vape on a bunch of different RTAs on various mods. But right this minute, I have 2 setups going: I'm tootle puffing on a GS Air tank on an iStick 30W at 8 watts. And I'm modwhomping on an Orchid v4 on an Innokin Disrupter at 20 watts. Both are very enjoyable vapes.

I do like my Vamo - but today I HAZ A HAPPY !!! I got my $75 Provari w/ 2 nautilus tanks (from eBay). I really like it so far - it seems to cut off cleaner than the Vamo, which seemed to not stop firing right away when I depress the button. Here's my vape bar right now:

I was thinking about getting one of those eLeaf 60W TC - I like that the tank is center-mounted on that and I have read good things about them. I also like the battery covers.

EPM with a heron atomiser

I had to look up EPM - looks like a great li'l set up! Are you from Oz? I work online for a digital marketing company based in Sydney.

eGo ONE with Hobbit ;)

That sure is cute - nice form factor you got going on there @gt_1955! I'm suspicious of thos Ego One & similar "auto" adjusting batteries - I like to know my watts or volts - but I guess if you know your resistance you can figure out how the battery is firing it with math/science?

Vape Forward Vaporflask Lite with KFL+v2

View attachment 522045

Found a temperature I liked and it's the most consistent and beautiful vape I've had. Also figured out that with temp control, wattage means squat. The vape quality is exactly the same with my current 13w as it was with 75w. The only difference is the ramp-up time and the time spent in "Temp Protection". The coil heats more quickly at higher wattages, but at the cost of battery life. I had been running at 50w with 420F and could barely get a full day out of a single 18650 (LG HG2). Running with lower wattage produces an identical vape and gives me about a day and a half of battery life.

View attachment 522044

That's interesting, @Andygev35 - is the vapor hotter/cooler at all between the two different settings? I'm not quite understanding - yet - the way different batteries achieve the settings we put them at - like the ramp-up time you mention. Although I do get that it does affect the vape - and battery life.

@jaytex1969 This is absolutely awesome - although I worry a little bit about you, Jay, what with all that head banging!
Well gee Kat, sure hope you have a happy day.
Right now; Hazelnut in an A7 (2 ohm coil)on a Caravela, and Espresso in an A7 mini (1.8 ohm coil) on a Mako.View attachment 522058

These are very interesting - and I know absolutely nothing about them except I've heard of the Caravela. I will have to do research! They are both mechanical, though?

Forward ho! To the next page =============>

Just what I need ;)

O------------M---------------G

That is freaking awesome!!
I have a VERY special vape today! I found this under the Birthday tree. Yeppers, a very special gift, from an even more special friend.

That birthday present is SUPER cool, @Katdarling !!!! I adore abalone - the rainbowiness of it. It's simply my favorite pretty thing. A nice gift - I looked up those billet boxes and they are neat-O!

Little bit for the office. Nauty Mini, mini istick, summer breeze eliquid.

@pokemom Cutest little thing! Love it! So pretty :)

Your Vamo looks just like mine. :) If you ever get tired of how long it is, you can use a Kick ring instead of the extension tube, and use 18500 batteries instead of 18650s.

The one single thing I've ordered from slowtech is that Kick ring, because I wanted a gold/brass toned one, to go with the gun-metal finish of the Vamo, and coordinate with my gold Kayfun:

Currently vaping on "Prudence" the MVP 3.0 Pro with a GS Air tank at 1.5ohm, 7 Watts. DIY menthol juice (I call it Glacier Ice).

Dear Prudence!! Lovely name for a lovely pink rig! I am interested to try those GS Air tanks.
Today feels like a pink day to me... :)

I LOVE your avatar. Such a cute dog. And congrats on your last cig! I finally gave them up 4 months ago after 33 years. :thumb:

@Atchafalaya You have won my heart by mentioning my little doggie! That's my special girl Rosie - she just died on December 3 2015. My heart is still broken.:cry::cry::cry:

I had just gotten 3 days of no cigarettes with vaping the day she died - had a bit of a setback - it was unexpected but then again - she had congestive heart failure for 2.5 years, so - the end just happened suddenly and quickly. Best way it could have happened I guess. Although I am still boo-hoo-ing over it - since I work at home we'd spent the last 4-5 years together 24-7-365. She was my girl, y'know?

I LOVED seeing all the doggie & kitty pictures when I was reading from the beginning of this thread last night! There's just no words for how special they are.

So thank you Atchafalaya

@hejira I also see you have been vaping, as I have, for quite some time before finally giving up the analogs. Congrats congrats congrats!!!!!! We finally did it.

Yes - good for US!!!

Although I didn't vape and smoke for a long time, I WANTED to vape long before it actually happened this past month. I guess it just happens when it happens for us each.

No, I didn't know - I've heard of the kick but never sure what it was for. I might try that - I was contemplating one of the newer versions.

I do like that this new provari is shorter.

I sort of giggle sometimes when I look at my Vamo 'cause it has such a funny face!
