Those birthday cakes are a heart attack waiting to happen and children should NOT be shown or allowed to imbibe of any little morsel especially the colorful M&M's. Adults above the age of 21 with a picture i.d. are allowed to partake at their own risk........I'll have a slice of the Kit Kat cake, please. :)

WHAT? You wanna piece o' me? C'mon, Granny, put up yer dukes.

People think Canadians have an accent. Apparently we say "hoose" and "aboot". Not. Well, maybe Torontonians do but not us West Coasters :)
People from Denver say "worsh" instead of "wash". Virginians also say "hoose" and "aboot". I know Canadians say "agayn" and not "agin".

I have been to Florida countless times and to me not much different (people wise) than the north . You want to experience something very different try the Carolina's lol , totally different language and lifestyle.

Children are called Young uns , Fathers are referred to as "My Daddy" , Grandfathers are known as Granddaddy , Menhaden are called "Pogies" , more than one individual is referred to as "Ya all" and most females 16 and over have two or more children .

Most businesses and schools are shut down completely over a very light dusting of snow even though everybody owns a pickup truck .

Not criticism just stating the obvious , much much different than Florida or the North.
North Florida is closer to Georgia in more ways than one.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
There's too many of 'em (and every other damn thing!) in ATL to be too worried about it.

It's hilarious really; ask any yankee why he moved to Atlanta, and you'll probably get some version of "tired of the snow".... but just let it snow an inch or 3 down here, and they're all "ah that's nothing" and they get out in it... and wind up in the parking lots that I-85 and I-75 turn into! Cause guess what! THERE AIN'T ANY SNOWPLOWS! While the few natives have wisely stayed at home, waiting for it to melt... because it never takes very long. :D Then all you hear is how ATL weather sucks. Well yeah, we coulda toldja that and saved you a moving bill.

Lots of people say that down here as well , "it's all Yankees" , i can't find a Yankee anywhere but anyway .

I'll tell you what really drives southerners insane lol, when Yankees come down and say southerners do everything wrong and should listen to the "all knowing Yankee" , man they really really hate that and there are NY ers especially that do do that .

I ALWAYS stay to myself and never mention anything to the lifelong residents , i talk trash under my breath about the stupidity of some things though . For example , allowing people to spear flounder instead of using hook and line . They allow gill nets in fish nursery areas etc...

N.C is well known to have the worst fisheries management of all the coastal States , it's really really criminal and it's had a devastating effect on endangered sea turtles , birds, fish , things have been literally wiped out but they do NOTHING . Anyone interested in knowing more just google N.C striped bass trawling atrocities .

Between North Carolina and South Carolina there are A LOT of different styles between many "certain areas", so lets not condemn the whole area. haha :D

But yes, in certain places it is just insane!!

Actually i am on the N.C and S.C border , i agree many areas are not like this .

My family came from NYC but I was born here, I had a northern accent until High School as I was home-schooled a lot and around family the most...

Now my accent is kinda both :/ lol

I'm afraid there's nothing we can do about it, it's coming and I'd advise you to stock up while you can or get ready to vape their crud gear or stop vaping
Sad thing is that we'll miss our vapemail, no matter how much we have stocked up. :(
On a lighter note, it's in the 70's here today and sunny. I'm going to have to cut my grass if this keeps up.

Awww... poor babies, nobody ever taught them about ADVERBS!

I hear a real dearth of adverbs in advertising; I go around hollering "-ly!" to half the commercials I hear. :D

The typical Atlantan accent can't seem to tell the diff between "sell" and "sale", or "deal" and "dill" -- they use 'em interchangeably, which also drives me wild.

"Yeah, it's on SELL." "Oh, they'll SALE it to ya!"

"What a dill!" (which makes me wonder where the pickle is!)

The first time I heard the "worsh" word, I had NO idea what they were talking about. I've had people call me Linder. Instead of Linda. What???? Where does the "R" come from???
