I'm getting good at recognizing sophisticated vapers on ECF.

Me...when I'm filling a tank and the bottle runs out...I just open the next flavor I'm going to try and fill the rest of the tank with it.

(Can get some interesting flavor combinations that way.)

And I don't really even know what "rewicking" is...

The more time I spend on ECF the more I realise just how bad US postage is. I keep hearing, well mine arrived in 4 days and they are really pleased with that.
I can order at 3pm and it will be here the next morning and that's even when postage is free.

Is it really that bad toots?

For me in FL I can say anywhere from3 to 5 days. Depending on where it's coming from.

USA is about 38 times larger than UK. I'd say we get a good deal for our postage.

Maybe loved black cats know about the human prejudice against them. They know what kind of human servants they didn't end up with, and appreciate that.

I think most of it stems from the mis-belief that they bring bad luck. Also they are used in the sicko rituals of satanic worship. One of the Black cats we rescued was abused. He had broken hips and hind legs and all his teeth were were removed or smashed out of him and he had the mange! He is so friendly and loving it's amazing with all he's been through. He stayed with Shadow every minute when he knew he was going.

Exactly. For me, cats are good for catching mice. I am a dog person. But it dismays me that shelters have to be especially careful in selecting potential adoptees for them.

I've written a novel, and the lit. agent I submitted it to said it was great on characters and the actual writing, but much too light on story/conflict. So, I can write... but I'm not a storyteller at all. Wrote about 300,000 words of another, a historical novel, but the 9/11 crap and my depression/PTSD kinda stopped that in its tracks, and I never did manage to get back to it -- I discovered the internet and designing websites, and that interest pretty much removed any other, other than just reading books.

What I need is a collaborator who has a great story to tell, but just needs some help on the writing and technical aspects of organization.

Perhaps you're not a storyteller at this point in your life but you never know, a few years from now you may be in just the right "place". Sometimes it's just timing.

My friends and family have always poked at me to pursue my art. "Why don't you submit your caricatures? You could make some money..." Thing is, people often think you need to make money.

I've done commissioned work in the past. Didn't enjoy it one bit. The moment I gave myself permission to create for my own pleasure, without pressure of selling for profit, the creative juices flowed. For a while that is. It comes in fits and starts, my creative side does. And I'm fine with that.

You may find one day, the seed for a story, out of the blue when you're not thinking about it. And away you'll go!

Well that is what you get when you live in a country with time zones.

Placed order last sunday from Vancouver. Shipped Monday. Arrived Mississauga friday. Delivered today.

Man , your being much too hard on dogs , they are not nearly as difficult as you make them sound . Once you own one you will say to yourself my life is now complete lol.

Cats to me have an attitude problem , they act like your not good enough for them and am an inferior being , the nerve of some cats is just mind boggling lol.

Even after being away all day you come home and the cat acts like it's not a good time and your bothering them , a dog goes berserk and acts like it hasn't seen you in years .

The only crime a cat is guilty of is not being a dog

They have actually gotten better considering $5 US Priority is faster than Fedex Express's $20 plan for me!

We've rescued 4 Dogs that have all passed. It's a good idea that those who adopt are vetted especially because of the sicko's out there. I realize that they are under pressure to get the animals a home. Our last rescue was dumped in the canal behind our house. It was on New Years Eve in 2011. Obviously someones Christmas Gift that was then dumped because they realized they couldn't deal with him. He was a bit rambunctious when we took him in. He likes to climb all over the place. He is also a Hemingway so he has extra toes on his paws.

They do look alike except Shadow had a smaller white patch. Most people don't like to adopt Black Cats. Let me tell you they don't know what they're missing. For some reason they seem to be more affectionate than most. At least that's what I've experienced. Out of the 5 we have left 3 are Black.

Interesting how the colour can, generally speaking, dictate certain characteristics. I've known many "tuxedo" cats to be real characters. Gingers are often on the large side (and usually male) and Tortoiseshells are always female.

I agree with you LJ, black cats (and dogs) are usually last to be adopted. I find them beautiful.

We had family from the UK visiting. We picked them up at the airport, asked anyone need to use the loo? Nope we are good to the next stop they said. The next stop/town was 2 hours away, North America is a very big place.
