Maybe just use them a little bit then put them away,don't forget to check them around once every 3 or so months (I usually store them at ~60% charge)but that's me.

Not just you. I store my batteries that I'm not using at about 3.6v. I believe that most are shipped at that voltage

Yes the shrink seems very real and is set to make me feel better.

I know, someone have even said 3 months.. but I will continue to use of course, only side effects I've noticed is dry mouth and a bit nausea.

Thank you! I've never been the person who opens myself to other people. Especially a person like a shrink. But I'm glad I did.

I've always wondered why there has never been a storage mode on chargers like there are for lipo's.
