This Hee-Haw stuff must stop!!
Mikey posted something yesterday that got me thinking.:danger:
Does everyone use distilled water to clean their tanks and such?
I just clean my gear with tap water.
Is this safe?

New attys. Tap water in a pot with dish soap and bring to a boil slowly boil for about 15 minutes and let cool.

Just a quick clean, Boiling water and let soak. Rinse twice.

I go fishing for the day and the thread takes off.

Morning everyone. The freezer is stocked again. Wind burnt, tired and relaxed. What a beautiful day, sitting on a jetty dangling the line in the water and the bonus of actually catching fish and squid.

Depends what it is. I clean everything with hot water, boiling for SS and I sterilise all my glass bottles. I don't reuse plastic bottles.

Whenever I have a Fasttech order I add a 5 pack of bottles to the order. It bulks out the package and protects other important/fragile items. Cheaper than using the box option and I have yet to have breakages,

Well...this is what I came up with for my PVs...the picture features one of my trusty old eGos...but the principle works the same on my more updated, bigger, boxier versions, too. I have little pillows sitting strategically positioned around the house....;)View attachment 535794

I keep mine at a slight angle as well. I found soap dishes are the perfect size to hold three/four spinners and use that design in some wood little trays. I have them scattered around the house as well.

When attys are new I break them down completely. All screws out, all o-rings off and I put the parts into a container with snap on lid. Half fill the container with very hot water and a little Dawn dish soap, put the lid back on and shake. Then I empty and rinse under cold water to get all the soapy water out. Drain the container again and shake Baking Soda liberally on the parts almost covering them. Pour half the container full of white vinegar and lit sit until the effervescence stops, shaking occasionally till it is completely done. Rinse everything in a strainer under cold water and set out to dry on paper towels.

I have done this with every new atty that has arrived here and have never had that good ole Fasttech taste on any of them. You have to remove all screws and o-rings, as machine oil (The Fasttech Taste) will get in the screw holes and under the rings.

When I am drying the parts for reassembly I thoroughly inspect all the parts for swarf, burrs and left over bits to be cleaned out or passed under the Dremel a few times.

Twist up paper towel and put it through every air hole as best as you can, you would be amazed at the little bits of metal that can sometimes be pulled out.

Thought about that, and I have rice bags for my aches and pains. They should work well for propping up my nemmys. Thank you.

I don't have any 'little' pillows
I wash my gear (new & used) just like the dishes/warm water & dish soap
I use paper towels & canned air to dry out (if needed)

I just got a box of 100% Rayon - it's the size of a sleeping bag  :p

I gotta go make some coils -- Green Acres is the place to be... ♫

Agreed,I used to watch it every day after supper with my Mom on our big Admiral black and white TV.

Yea...but...at the time (before Color TV)...we didn't know it was "Black and White"...

My practices with a new topper are a little different than yours...
I unpack it => fill it with juice => vape it...

(I figure no matter what chemicals may be there...I smoked analogs...with at least 4,000 chemicals in them...without a second thought...for 50 years...)

Mikey when you fill and screw the top cap on make sure the airflow is wide open so the air gets forced out. If it's closed then the coil will flood. That is one quirk I've found with this tank. Usually after a few vapes it goes away. Just my :2c:

Thanx for the tip LJF (I have a couple Cubis's on the way from FT).

My first AFC tank was the Nautilus. The "rule" with them was...to prevent gurgling/flooding...CLOSE OFF the AFC before screwing the bottom on.

I thus, subsequently, did that (closing the AFC) with my GS-Tanks. Their gurgling/flooding was ridiculous. Think I'll pull one of them out of my "Junk Drawer"...and see if leaving the AFC OPEN when screwing the bottom on will make them usable...

With the Cubis...when you undo it to refill it naturally closes with the action and the reverse when you rescrew the top. The action naturally opens the airflow. So once I have it closed I leave it for a couple of minutes and it seems to settle and I can vape at my normal almost closed airflow.

I also wipe the threads before I close.

People say that all the time...
Now that you've stopped smoking, why would you want to introduce anything toxic to your lungs like a petroleum machine oil?

I find it leaves a very nasty taste until it is cleaned out.
I'll wash mine thanks. :thumb:

I'll save this for when I finally take the lovely Cubis out of its box.

I have been singing that song at work now and the looks I'm getting -----> not sure if it's from my voice, or the song.
