Been vapin MFS nic for about 10 months now. Seems fine to me. I had just gotten into the other litre I bought from them. I need to buy some more little bottles to split this litre up into for the freezer.
Or I may just put it in whole and wait till I use up the other one in a couple of years?

MFS is also my goto place for Nic. A month or so ago they had liters of 100mg on sale for $40 so picked up 2 more for the freezer. Its clear and tasteless, what more can you ask from a nic solution :) Currenty I am vaping around 100ml+ a week at 3-4 mg so say 5ml of nic a week usage. Thats 3.8 years of nicotine usage per liter so probably I have a 10 year supply on hand.

I have a tootle-puff related question for the coil gurus. Normally I use 7 wraps of 29ga around 3/32 drillbit, comes to about 1.7 ohms. If I used 28ga, I could do 8 wraps, and it would come to about 1.5 ohms -- fairly similar. The thing is, in the past I haven't cared for 28ga because it seems too slow to heat up. I fire my 29ga coils at 9w -- how high do you estimate I would need to set the watts, to overcome that slowness, yet not end up with too hot a vape? Just looking for a ballpark figure.

Andria
Here is your 29g coil build. The heat flux of that build at 9W is 133 mW/mm²

If you built a 28g coil it would be 7 wraps for a 1.2 ohm coil to keep the same heat flux, 9W at 133 mW/mm²

Honestly if I was doing that I would say somewhere between 11-13w It should heat up a bit more, but not unbearable. After 13w at your suggested vape style it might start to get too warm to enjoy. (assuming you are still using 29g.)

With my experience using 28g 15w at 5 wraps can warm up pretty quickly, so it's nice for quicky toots while still remaining fairly cool, while at near 20w if you don't draw hard and fast it gets throat roasting hot.

Ok, I might try that, next time I replace the coil in one of my Achilles. I just figured, I've got this spool of 28ga that's pretty much just going to waste, but maybe I could use it if I just turned up the power a bit; I just wasn't sure how much it might take to get it to warm up quickly enough to suit me, yet not be too hot to suit me. Since I use either the angled driptip adapter or the knucklehead, I have a pretty fair distance between the coil and my lips, so I could probably stand a bit more warmth before it became unpleasant.

Thx!

But it would be slower, which I don't like, that's why I was thinking I might use a slightly higher wattage to get it to ramp up faster. You know I like those "bowed" coils that Boden suggested, and the 28ga is a little more durable, I might be able to fashion more of a bow using 28ga.

We be discussing the best bearing to use in a Johnson 70 hp outboard lower unit.

Saves me from catching up. Thanks for that.

I think the best bearing is made from unobtainium. But it costs more than the boat, motor, trailer and truck to pull it combined.

A huge post about currency that's not really relevant
d2570dcb33.png

This shows how many Norwegian crowns in a euro the last 5 years. And it just keeps rising! Same against dollars and UK pounds. In 2013, you could save tons by buying online. Right now it's only getting more and more expensive. I bet it's not a long time until it's about the same price for devices within the country and online. And with our $40 (atm) limit for ordering along with the weaker crowns, there's fewer things I actually can order. This is terrible :(

And even worse on dollars just the last year:

Do any of you know of cheap sticker-thingies? On my DIY bottles, I write what it is on paper, clip it out, tape it on the bottle. But it would've been better if I had something I could write on, the just stick it on the bottle.

Yup about the same for me. When I was smoking I was paying $110 a carton!! Lovely NYC Taxes!!! I smoked at least 2 packs a day x 30 days = $660 a month! 12 x $660 = $7,920 a year! I only spend $150 on vape gear last month.
So I think besides saving my life, Vaping is saving me money!:thumbs:

A few years back a neighbour of mine went on a cruise and when they came back he handed me 2 cartons of marlboro and said I owed him $20. I was floored, $20 for two cartons, WTH.... they was duty free on the cruise ship, no taxes and everyone was allowed so many cartons to take home. I was paying $50 a carton at the time for smokes. Your price really shows how badly smokers are being fleeced and why municipalities dont want people to quit smoking. Even if BT was getting $20 per carton, that is still between a stores mark-up and taxes, an additional $90 you was forking over per carton.
This shows exactly why our elected officials be it local, state or federal care less about our well being and are more interested in how much they can squeeze from us. Even a person who only smoked one pack a day quits smoking. At $50 a carton thats $1000 in tax revenue gone and they got to make it up somehow. God forbid the party fund goes dry, so taxing vaping is their answer.

Well, I resurrected my Kayfun v4 (Tobeco Clown) the other day as a means of Tootle Testing new DIY recipes without wasting a Kabuki coil. I had shelved this device shortly after getting it as it was never a reliable atomizer for me. Too many moving parts, too many seals that didn't do their job, was always wiping leaked juice off of it. Also, coming from the KFL+, it was just too airy of a draw. When I tightened it up to where it matched the KFL+, it drew in too much juice and was always flooding with the 50/50 blends I was using.

Fast forward to now, I came up with a very nice Blueberry Cream recipe that I wanted to try that was a thicker 40/60 (pg/vg) blend so I figured I'd give the v4 another shot. Made a coil and put the PMMA tank section on (fewer seals that may leak) but after filling it could see that the last juice I used in it (Samba Sun) had cracked the tank! I've always heard about "Tank Crackers" but never experienced it so this was totally unexpected. I always equated it to just having this big crack appear and the tank falling apart in your hands lol. This is more like a series of micro fractures running all throughout the tank sort of how safety glass break into tiny pieces.

Anyway, I ran the rest of that tank through and switched it back to the glass tank. I had minor seepage of juice so it will prolly end up back on a shelf but hey, for short duration testing may work out. I really need to get a tootle test worthy dripper

Le Sigh...

So I went to the doctor today, as I've had an extreme headache the last couple of weeks. Sometimes so bad I have to lay down for a couple of hours sometimes, but overall it's just really intense and making me tired and exhausted. (I've had problems with headaches the last several years, but no doctor has figured out why. Worse in periods, some days it's not there. I've learnt to deal with it, and I usually don't let it stop me from anything.)

So this time, he asked if I drink enough water. And it turns out I'm drinking too much water, and am possibly overhydrated. So I'll drink less water the next few days and see if it's helping. But I have to drink a lot of water when I vape flavors! Else they get weak. What do you do to "refresh" taste buds on a every day basis? My tastebuds is not gone at all, but I need something to refresh it during the day and that's why water helps a lot.
