Some questions for you all if you don't mind !

What strength started you with?
What strength are you at now, and what is your goal?
Are you as addicted as you were with smoking?

I'm definetely as addicted as when I was smoking. But I have been able to decrease nic from 24mg to 12mg, and planning on going even further
(have 9mg bases ready, and some extra 15mg if it's not enough)

Vapez

didn't know any better at first
started @ somewhere like 8-12mg
worked up to 24mg, then dabbled at 36mg for awhile...

found what worked for me was 24 mg,
and have been there for better than two years (and happy)

not enuff MG and I almost non-stop puff
juice disappears/ batteries die...

with 24mg , I hit-n-rest (able to sit the darn thing down)

my goal is NOT to smoke and 24mg works for me at this time

I started 4 years ago with 18mg. I now vape about 2.5mg. It took me about a year of gradually stepping down during 2012 to get to 6mg. I went nice and slow. In 2013 I went from there down to where I am now (2.5mg). My goal? I think I want to give up the nicotine completely. Maybe. But then, I've heard there are good things nic can do for the health. So...not sure. My level is so low it's not really the nic that keeps me vaping. Am I as addicted? In a way, yes. The hand to mouth, rituals, and the habit: I am. Nicotine: no. I can go much longer without a vape than I could a smoke, though. But I don't like to have to. I love to vape!

Started with 18, and found it lacking... went to 24 and quit smoking. Stayed there for a few months, then dropped to 18, while I still sit, with no plans to go lower.

With the growing body of real evidence on nic's benefits, and being of advanced age, well, it just seems like a good thing to me :)

And like many others, can go a lot longer without vaping that I ever could without smoking.

I started at 24 about 2 and a half years ago and now am at 1.5 mg. I really am not concerned with how much nicotine I'm ingesting other than the fact that too much and I don't sleep at night. If it wasn't for that, I would have stayed at 12. But I find that the nicotine doesn't really matter any more. I've used 0 mg for most of the day a couple of times and didn't even miss it. It's the ritual I'm addicted to. Plus I just plain enjoy vaping and the flavors. So I'm not even planning on quitting. And the fact that the government is sticking there nose in it just makes me want to do it more! :D

I started at 36mg/ml, but I smoked 2 cartons a week. After a few months I dropped to 24mg/ml, but kept a tank of 36 on me for stressful times. At about a year in I dropped to 18, kept some 24 but didn't need it. Close to a year later I dropped to 12mg/ml, which is where I am at now. Will I drop further, no idea, I'm happy where I am.

I started at 24mg. Got nic sick, so dropped to 18mg, then to 12mg. 12mg does it for me, and I have no intentions of changing.
I ALWAYS do what my doctor tells me to do!! Except when it doesn't work.

Iv been vaping 18/24mg for years now.. When I ModWhomp/Sub Ohm I use around 3-6mg range... Don't really plan on lowering it, dont want too. I am addicted to the hand to mouth gesture as others have said, but yeah, I can go longer without a vape than cigs!
Also Nicotine is an Anti-Anxiety/Depression substance as it works on Dopamine Receptors(Much more also), so in a way, its similar to meds I am prescribed!

so it seems most of us might agree
it's not the NIC that is addicting , it's the other stuff/junk/crap
BT instills into an average cigarette...

I don't 'freak' without my vape like I would with a smoke
and it seems there is some goodness in nic anyways...

kinda like that ‘other’ stuff is effective towards glaucoma, cancer-and-chemotherapy

Lemme bum-rush here, pat myself on the back and split!

Already on 0mg, from the get-go, trying to vape on weekends only now days, one year after quitting the cigs.

Keeping active helps, toothpicks help, chatting here helps, but I still reach for my mods now n then, not being too hard on myself.

I started at 8mg (which for some reason I thought was the same as what I was smoking) I am currently at 6mg at happy to stay there. Also have some zero nic that I sometimes vape in the evening.

I have no goal for reducing nic as vaping was all about quitting smoking. Which I achieved immediately.

What strength started you with?
6mg

What strength are you at now, and what is your goal?
6mg, though I spent almost a year at 10mg. My goal is 5mg, just to see if it helps with my cold hands/feet in the winter; other than that, I have no goal. Nicotine isn't harmful, and in fact is very helpful.

Are you as addicted as you were with smoking?
Hmm. Debatable.

Emotionally, I'm just as disinclined to go anyplace that doesn't permit smoking/vaping as I was when I smoked -- why should I give my money to those who don't care one iota about my preferences, who in fact discriminate against me?

Factually... I find it easier to spend an hour without vaping while shopping than spending an hour without smoking, while shopping. But also factually, there are places where I can vape indoors where I could not smoke indoors -- my home, my family members' homes, restrooms of "public" locatons, the emergency room when they left me in there for 9 hrs behind a closed door -- so it isn't as big an issue; it's far easier to "sneak" a vape than it ever was to sneak a smoke.

I am less dependent on vaping now than I was at first -- I don't have to go around with it constantly in my hand, or wearing it on a lanyard; I actually manage to set it down sometimes, and have gone as long as 30-40 minutes without even really thinking about it. But the lessening dependency was very slow and gradual; it's only in retrospect that I really notice a difference.

I started 3 years ago at 24mg. I'm now at 3mg and mix in 0mg as well.
Haven't had any problems when I can't vape, no cravings at all.
Flying now is not a problem like it was when I smoked, although I did enjoy when you could smoke on a plane.
As far as my goal it's to wake up tomorrow, and for the long term future!!! :thumb:
Every day above the ground is a good one!!!:D

I find it funny that during the 40 years that I smoked I would go nuts if I couldnt. Anxiety and panic attacks would set in and I have always been an extremely calm person, but out of smokes or no lighter and I was a wreck. Now a year later if I forget my vape or battery dies, no big deal.
