I think I posted about this a couple of weeks ago. Get this the coils sell for around $55-60 bucks for a pack of 5!!!
DARN! I can get a STM and a VTC mini for about that money.
With 2 coils with the STM And a RBA deck.

But those coils do have expresso in their name ;)

those must be for those who buy those $500 German Provari style mods.

When I first heard about this mod I thought it looked pretty good. But then I did some research and saw the price of the coils and I almost fell to the floor. They better last a couple of months for that price!

I have no problem with you having an opinion that is different to mine. I have a problem with you sharing you "educated guess" in all caps like it is beyond question. Do you have specialized education that is applicable to this situation.

I said nothing about Ti because I have not researched it and formed an opinion beyond the fact that glowing a coil can and probably will form titanium dioxide. Maybe that is a problem, maybe not. I don't know.

Nickel is an element, elements do not break down. They can combine to form new compounds.
Sorry if you feel I am picking on you but all the FUD about Ni coils is a very sore spot with me. I blame Idiots like Ron :censored: for that! :-x

I'm not saying you're picking on me... and honestly I like the discussion, but the point I'm making...

You purchase an air conditioner to cool off a room in your house, you set it to a steady 60F and leave the room. When you come back into the room, it feels hotter than it was when you left and you look at the thermometer hanging on your wall and see that the temperature is now 98F and rising. You approach the AC unit to find its blowing out hot air, what do you do? If you're an HVAC guy, you fix the problem. If not you find what could be causing the problem through research. If self repairs aren't your thing, seek professional help.

In my instance, I fixed it myself. Why? Because the device is supposed to perform a certain way, with a certain set of material(s) - in which it didn't. Therefor I said what I said. No reason to waste time or money... or anyone else's time and money for that matter. If the coil - or something with the way the device read the coil malfunctioned... then honestly it is a minor hazard. Someone that hadn't paid attention to it, or overlooked it altogether may have had negative consequences, which may have made some people frustrated because "TC should prevent you to from getting dry, scratchy, and / or burnt hits". I'm not saying it's dangerous, then again, I'm not saying it's not dangerous, you and I agree on one thing - it might not be 100% safe, but it's a lot safer than smoking. Same thing with Kanthal - it might not be AS dangerous as smoking, but has anyone done the tests to see just how "safe" it is?

And yes I just googled that Ron guy and his nickel rant - I can see how you got frustrated by that.

Ok Update on the coils. That price was when they were first putting the mod out there. I guess they may have gotten some nasty feed back. Heavens gift has the mod on presale for $109 and the coils for a more respectable $20 bucks

@Robert Cromwell - Klowdz 4 Daiyz! On a Kanger Protank 2 mini!
I do Klowdz about as big on my modified T3S's as I get from the STM with the 1.2 coil in it running ar 14 watts vs 8 for the T3S.
Taste is actually a bit better on my modified T3S.

Yeah, I'm getting ready to do something I haven't done in AGES! I'll show you when I'm done. It uses a very very very very thing AWG wire. So It's probably going to OHM out really really really high. Pray for me.

I see they have lowered the price of their coils. They were very high when they first put it out. It's a cool looking device. I think Vapin Fagen had a review on this.

They had better last a year for that price

I have returned - unfortunately I wasn't able to do what I wanted. 36AWG wire in one of my tighter RDA's on a Semovar. Screws wouldn't make contact with the wire. Plus the wire is a blitz to work with. BUT I was still able to get my Zenith v2 RDA to work on my Semovar with a 10 wrap 28AWG wire (I think it's 28).

My modded T3S's have the wick slot enlarged to 2mm The 3 base air holes bored out to 3/32. The 510 pin bored to 5/64 and chimney top bored out to 3/32 if needed. And a 2mm 30 ga 1.5-1.6 ohm coil with cotton wicking. No leaks even with straight PG in it for days and never a dry hit with 40 PG/60 VG. I have since dropped to 50/50 cause I like the mix better though.

But the rebate points on fasttech is useless. You gotta pay a total of $1000 to get a gift card on $10. And all points expire after a year. What's even the point?

They have contests that you can enter with your points in the forums. You donate the required points to the OP and after a few days a name is drawn for decent FT credit.
