Well folks, I did it. I just rebuilt my first 2 pt2 coils!
I say screw the FDA, screw multiple sclerosis!
I know that I can at least do it on my own now, it just took me a while.
I used pre-wicked coils, but that still was a challenge.
The first of the year I am going to attempt the subtank rba.

That is great to hear motordude, u can definitely do it... if I could do it, you could do it! they can be a pain, but it can be done relatively quickly, under 30 minutes for n00bs, too! MY problem, was my rebuilt kanger heads would somehow screw-up a day later... i think that was due to bad wick designs. I recommend you continue rebuilding your clearo heads until they vape well, from day one, to week 1.5-2

Good for you, motordude! I think the first time I rebuilt a coil, it took me a good 45 minutes. Part of the problem is they're so tiny. I now have a magnifying visor that makes it so much easier. And once you start using rebuildables, like your subtank rba, it will be a lot easier. More room to work and easier to see what you're doing. I mainly vape just rebuildables now. One great thing is that a coil in an RTA can last for months. You just have to rewick and dry burn it once in awhile. I think this is a needed skill for FDA proofing your vaping.

Those big illuminated magnifiers on an adjustable boom are handy. I use one for inspecting tiny electronics stuff. Reading numbers on chips and such.

I have one of those visors too, and at first it was a godsend! But I find I really don't need it anymore; I just wear my regular cheaters (3.75 diopter); if I need a little better look, I grab a pair that my mom gave me, #4 diopter. But mostly I don't even need that. And no, I certainly don't see any better up close than I did at first, but it just gets to be such a routine thing, seeing it really clearly just isn't all that necessary.
