I've been vaping on a 0.5 coil lately, at 30w, so can't really say that I've been tootle puffing lately [emoji14]

I just like the warm vape, and quick hits, the flavor and comfort. What I don't like is the juice consumption..But I use 3-1.5mg nic so it doesn't really matter when DIY. Soon going to stock up on nic, and vg/pg are cheap to buy later on. Currently I got about 4 litres premade base.

But I am experiencing some dryhits with higher VG on my coils. I need higher vg as higher pg makes my head dizzy and stomach unhappy.

I have to take a few hits without firing once in a while to make it not happen as it doesn't wick quick enough. Any tips?

Vapez

Depending on the coil your using try to run a pin through your cotton. This will sometimes fix the wicking problem.

Maybe a drop or two of distilled water per tank. That can thin it out, but you don't want too much water!

Does it have to be distilled? We have drinkable water at home, can't I just boil it and use that?

Could you explain that one further?

I'm building the coils myself btw.

No, doesn't have to be distilled. Depending on the quality of your water. If high mineral or iron content, it could lead to problems after a while, degrading the coil, for example. Clean and pure is the key. Boiling will, of course, kill off any possible bugs that you don't want to inhale, but won't remove the minerals and such. I've read of some using a drop or two of PGA (eg. vodka), but I don't vape high VG so haven't had a need to try either.

Poking a needle through the wick, inside the coil, makes a tiny "tube", like a straw, that may help with wicking.

Are you using a subtank like you had mentioned before? If so just gently push a pin through the one hole on the rba till it comes out the other side.

I'm not sure I'm seeing what everyone else is seeing...but I kind of like the minor changes I'm seeing on the ECF page now. The "like", "quote", "reply" links highlight red when mousing over them. I can see the post count now (couldn't before). There is an option to share of FB, G+ etc. (not that I care most of the time). There's not as much "stuff" under the avatar. Just basics. The "post reply", "upload" etc. buttons are brighter and easier for me to see. So far that's what I'm noticing. Plus a few new symbols like for the "alerts". Mostly just small cosmetic stuff.

That pin hole trick works better on the horizontal coils but not so effective on the newer vertical coils tends to make them leak more often than not.
your first sugestion about adding a few drops of water i found works a lot better with the newer vertical coils.

or if you rebuild them just re-wick a little lighter for higher VG .

I like the new skin; I had a very hard time with the old one, the font was so tiny. This one uses the Verdana font, which is bigger and easier to read.

As for what @Vapez said above.... dizzy and unhappy stomach sounds to me more like too much nicotine than anything to do with the PG/VG; maybe the high wattage is making so much vapor, you're getting too much nicotine.

Aaauuggghh! The HORROR! STOP!

Two wheels is the only way to go. Please find yourself a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course. It usually takes up a weekend, costs about $150 and is so good, it's considered worth 2 years of riding experience. They provide bikes and helmets (so you don't have to drop your shiny new hog). When you finish, you will confidently get on your bike and go...

Since this has turned into the TP therapy session, know that it is going around. Wednesday evening, my wife and I lobbed verbal grenades at each other all evening and I broke out the sleeping bag in the TV/computer room for the night. Next day, we recovered.

Next week, Mercury goes into retrograde until 1/25 (my 47th B-Day ). Communication will be negatively affected, so cut everyone else AND yourselves a bit of slack for the duration.

Tying things together in summary:

You never see a bike parked at a psychiatrist's office!

Jay :headbang:
I took a MSF course last summer; it was crazy but i learned alot! Of course my bike is WAY more powerful than the little guys we were training on... but i am just going to get out there and become a parking lot rat!

I know the nic does it, but even when I vaped 3-0mg with 50/50, the same was happening. When I went to higher vg, the issue wasn't an issue anymore.

But it wasn't that much of a problem either. It just meant a little headache after a vape session and a few more toilet visits a day.

I've never tried it on a vertical coil but I will keep that in the back of my mind for future reference.
Who am I kidding by the time I hit post reply I will have forgotten it!!:D
