@juskiddin

This might sound a bit odd coming from me who likes to tinker and experiment but this is for tootle puffers. Being a tootle puffer gets you a lot of vape for very little outlay. Most of the gear we like is old school and found in clearance and bargin bins. You are not chasing the latest greatest, cloud chuckiest gear. You need some simple options that are fuss free have some longevity (replaceable coils, batteries etc) look at things that people are still using 2 years after they were released and that deliver nicotine vape to you consistently and reliably. Once you decide what those simple options are........get lots of the exact same thing. Parts are interchangeable and you don't have to worry about failure. :p

Kat beat me to the post

I like clearance sales

9 Defenders @ $11.00

It makes sense to me, as well.

What a great question to pose, to everyone!

What do you like that is simple, fuss free, has longevity (replaceable coils, batteries etc), and that you are still using 2 years after they were released? And that deliver nicotine vape to you consistently and reliably?

Discuss!

I have only been vaping for 15 months but here goes, All my gear need to be fuss free as I have no patience for it. I haven't swashed anything in a press yet.

1 rgm2 tank still in daily use after 416 days, 10 more in rotation. 29 new in the box. 50 packs 1.8 coils

VV3's 2 still working after a year
More VV3 have 10 total in rotation

5 SVD2 for backup
9 Defenders for backup
4 VV4 in rotation
15-20 mechs in the box
3 Kayfun V4 for backup need more for stash.

I am still looking for more. I have toned down the buying for the next few months. But those provari are calling me.

Forgot

2 evods that I started with with some spare tanks and 1 CFIV in rotation

That's exactly what I mean. If you use the same thing (whatever that thing is) you understand what it is, how it vapes, what you need to check if it feels wrong and it just works.

I think @tj99959 has the best sig line quote.

The biggest and most common mistake is buying product after product searching for that perfect vape
instead of learning how to get that perfect vape from the products you already have.

I have a liter as well. Hoping that will last me a while.

What's a newb like me to do?

Nic is the essential. Estimate how many mls you vape on an average day, multiply by 365.25 (for leap years). That gives you liters per year, after moving the decimal.

Get your nic at 100 mg/ml and calculate how many mls of YOUR strength that will make. (I make my base at 20 mg, so for me it's 5 liters of vape strength.)

If I vape 4 mls a day, that's 1.46 liters per year, so one liter of 100 mg stock will last me about 3 1/2 years.

Then decide how many years you're going to be vaping and get sufficient nic.

Hardware, I have a bunch of regulated mods in the box, along with the near dozen in daily rotation. And a few mechs with kicks for the real emergency!

SVD2s going strong, although only a bit over a year.
Cloupor Minis work great, about the same age.
Two antique Tesla VV (the triangular one :) ) still fine at nearly two.

Toppers, well, a huge supply of KFs  and a few other assorted rebuildables.

And a bunch of PT, PT2, minis and such that ALL use the same (rebuildable) heads.

With a slug of matching Spinner types, all 1300 and up. Although I do tend to use mostly my replaceable battery mods...

I have always liked that quote.

All the talk about stashes of PG, VG, litres of nic, collections of tanks, wire, mods has me feeling panicked.

Nic, nic nic get the nic the rest is easy.

Google "Moving to Canada".
Searches have increased 350% due to the possibility of a Trump win.

That is very encouraging, makes my day actually so thanks! :D

ahahahhahahahahaha! You'll thank me in the morning (of 2025). :D

Membership has it's advantages! :w00t:

the tfv4? If so are either of these good for mtl?

I won a tfv4, it is no mtl toodle puffer.

The wise is deep in this Ock... Nic first!

er, ...

Warned been have you....

Without nic, what's the point? Absolute worst case, you build a mech. Six dozen mods with no juice...

Well I do have some but only a couple of years worth. Getting another liter when the cc cuts off then another one in May. Unfortunately up here $25 buys about 30ml.

Wow, wow and a 3rd wow, T-Puffers. A suitcase full of thank-yous to Kat and Krisma (the Special K's) for planting the seed for this question and starting the discussion. It's a real page-turner.

Having only 7 months of vaping under my belt, my list is short:

2 eGo ONES (1100 mah)
2 PT2's (2.2 ohm coils are my favourite)
1 PT mini I've yet to use
1 Coolfire 4 with Nauti Mini (1.8ohm)..also use the PT2's on it

I haven't used the eGo ONE tanks since acquiring the PT2'S. The eGo ONE replacement coils didn't last long enough and were problematic (I don't yet wrap my own) and I found the tanks didn't hold enough juice and were difficult to see the juice levels.

I'm really enjoying my new CF4/Nauti mini now that I found my sweet spot.

I rotate all 3 devices all day long; never using one all day.

I'm finding I like simple and small devices; maybe b/c I'm still new and feel like the more complicated the more that can go wrong.

I'm on a strict budget so I tend to peruse vape gear online, save the searches and start saving. I also try to search for tanks where I could use the same coils (PT2'S /Nautis?)

I'm very comfortable with the PT2'S; I like the draw and feel like I know them well enough now to troubleshoot.

I'm blathering on like a magpie.

I hate to sound like a broken 33 1/3 but I'm so grateful for this thread and the folks on it. I had no idea when I joined ECF how much I would learn, laugh and "like".

You. All. Rock.
Cheers
JK
