Cool vapes? Easy A subtank mini with 1.2 ohm coil at 12 watts.
or a GS Air2 tank with a 1.2 or a 1.5 at 10 watts or so.
Also a 40+ year smoker who likes cool vapes.
sorry on the TC, I don't do that. May someday and may never although I do have a couple of mods that will do TC.
As long as your TC mod is happy with that resistance, why not just go ahead and try? TC is going to adjust the power delivered to hit your set temp, so it will possibly exceed tootle numbers, but if you wind up liking the vape, well, then you like the vape, and we won't disown you.If you don't like the vape, you're out the cost of the wire, and could pif it on.
Well you can run TC that way if you wish. Because your going to set a certain temperature that you don't wish to Vape over. But at .15 ohm you 'll be running higher wattage to reach your temp, than if you even went with a .5 or .75 Coil. Since you really seem to want flavor and a cooler vape.
Just a thought
The 30g Ni200 wire is like working with thread it is very soft and can be hard to get a wick through. I twisted my 30g Ni200 up to make it a little firmer.
If you get Tempered Ni200 it is much better, but twice the price. The tempered stuff is almost like Kanthal to work with.
The 8 wraps of 30g on a 2.5 will give you 0.15 ohm, I found that 8 wraps of tempered 28g on 2.5 for 0.1 ohm provided a better vape than the 30g stuff does and is easier to work with. Ni200 coils have to be spaced so depending on the atty you are putting it in there might not be much room.
What you set the temperature to on the mod dictates how hot or cool the vape will be, you just have to play with the settings till you find what you like.
Also Ni200 and Titanium coils can NOT be dry burned like Kanthal & Stainless Steel can, just something to keep in mind.
I wrote this for the Aussies but folks here might be interested
I have a couple of vapeprods just sitting in the cupboard, after I gave up on using them with aspire coils. Too many little thing that were wrong to bother with.
This morning I was setting up one of my cerotanks to taste some of my new mint and I had to make a decision between a protank coil or one of my precious BVC coilswhile I was recoiling a protank coil I remembered the vapeprod and wondered, as the threading is the same whether the protank coil would fit. Firstly it didn't the small collars around the Kanger coils are too big to drop down the tube. So I got my sanding guru (hahaha) to take a bit off the collar.
Well that worked.....the 510 connector screw held the coil firmly in place. Now all I needed was a bung to manage the airflow. The actual SS bung is designed to sit atop the aspire coils and the chimney of the protank coil was in the way. So I tried the coil without the chimney and that just flooded in an instant, I tried all sorts of bits I had lying around but nothing quite worked.
Taking a breather and looking at the genuine SS bung I realised that if I turned it upside down if fit snugly over the chimney and the orings were able to do their job of sealing the eliquid in the tube.
Now I know that most of you won't have a spare vapeprod lying around and they are not cheap but I did and it's nice to get them working and in rotation giving me a genuine rebuildable fuss free solution for my Billet Boxs. Protank coils have to be the easiest coils in the vaping world to rebuild.
So some pics of the process showing how the pieces went together
I have them setup in both a tank and the Billet Box ( boro ) and they vape quite differently so I will need to tinker with the wicking to get the right flow in each device. I was also not really careful with my treatment of the coils while tinkering so I will recoil/wick tomorrow. Very pleased with the end result.
Wow...You do some really neat stuff !!!
Not a problem. Our past Prime Minister was from another planet.![]()
he must have really liked our past president then?He most definitely was...
Will do for sure! Tanks!
He did! I don't think he thought much of your present one though.he must have really liked our past president then?
He wouldn't if he liked the other one.He did! I don't think he thought much of your present one though.
Eerily similar to the training we took at the Post Office.
It makes sense to me, as well.
What a great question to pose, to everyone!
What do you like that is simple, fuss free, has longevity (replaceable coils, batteries etc), and that you are still using 2 years after they were released? And that deliver nicotine vape to you consistently and reliably?
Discuss!
That's exactly what I mean. If you use the same thing (whatever that thing is) you understand what it is, how it vapes, what you need to check if it feels wrong and it just works.
I think @tj99959 has the best sig line quote.
The biggest and most common mistake is buying product after product searching for that perfect vape
instead of learning how to get that perfect vape from the products you already have.
Thanks SNM, I've pondered a coupla Evods mostly because I do like my PT2'S and I tried my friend's Evod this week. It wasn't bad at all. Hers had been living in the bottom of her purse, untouched, for a year. She just retired (yippee - a fellow retiree to play with!). She wants to quit smoking so charged it up and brought it with her for our visit this week.Protank minis and Evods with a 5 pack of coils (any resistance) some cotton and a roll of 30 gauge wire.
Rip the insides of the coils out and make your own (much better in my humble opinion).Making coils is easier than one thinks,I'm 59 with bad eyes and shaky hands and after my 2nd or 3rd recoiled protank it was easy peasy lemon squeezy.
I'm kinda new to kayfuns but I think they're my new go to tank,I can see me using these for a long long time and easier than the protank recoils.
I have a subtank mini but didn't like it til I fiddled lots with it so it don't count.I also have an Eleaf lemo that still needs fiddling and it's not there yet.I was hoping to use it for my venture into temp control so I'll play with it in a month or so.
I have 3 mods an eVic (11 watt),IPV mini (30watt) and my new Aspire Pegasus v1 and a spinner battery all 4 still work. The eVic still works a treat, the IPV mini still works but has a stripped battery cap.My new Aspire Pegasus, well it works BUT.....it wasn't what I was hoping for.
...We do have the best government that money can buy. And therein lies the problem...
On an unrelated note...... My Provis made it to my local post office (apparently) at 10:21 this morning. However, I don't know if my route guy is already out..... And of course, this is supposed to be coming to MY OFFICE, so if I don't get it today, I'll have to wait until MONDAY?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?
