Aw thanks, Mikey. I sure appreciate your input.

I've just located the air leak in my head and plugged it up :D
Not sure what I was thinking. I'm puttin' the Provari purchase on hold fer now. Sometimes I get ahead of myself and it takes my common sense and practicality a minute or two to catch up with the thought of something new.

:)
Common sense and practicality are good things! I watched and waited and listened to the Provariatti chatter for nearly 5 years. Yes...I felt the pull. I even felt a bit of jealousy when my friends got theirs. ProVape has had other sales, other "specials". I might have sprung then, but the time wasn't right. Then there were the classies. Again...other things seemed more urgent at the time. This sale hit at a very good time for me....husband and I really didn't need any vaping supplies so our vaping budget was in good condition this month. I could swing it and the $20 MVP3 this month and not cause even a flutter in my innards. By the time I did get this new Provari, a lot of my feeling of "gotta have it" had faded. But I am glad I did get it, and know I will enjoy it. Always best to listen to one's good sense. When it's time for you...you'll know.

Just looked at the Provari site - the 2.5 minis are still (again?)on sale for $29.95. Even with the Canadian exchange I'm thinkin that's still a good deal (?).

I haven't ventured into exterior batteryland but at this price I'm tempted. I'm drooling over the pearl white.

Is it too advanced for a newb? Am I simply getting swept into the provaritalk on the thread?

I'd need batteries as well...not sure which kind. Feel like I'm starting all over again like 7 months ago. Eeeeeeek!

No idea what the shipping cost would be.

I'm rambling.....

if you have a thought to, buy just the P 2.5 $29
then get what you want later
(batteries/charger, etc.)

a rock solid device isn't always available so cheap...

For me I have always been attracted to the mini 2.5 with the teardrops. Even though I have spent a lot of cash on expensive devices I took my time and and bought during the specials or through the classifieds. This sale has got me hooked though. I keep looking at that page of blemished ones and just itching to buy at those prices. My dilemma is that I already have quite a few and the only one I really want (blue) is not there. So in an effort to be strong I close the tab and look away..........but a dragon sits in my cart :p

This may seem weird, but I like my vamos better than my provaris.

I don't know why but I have no desire for a Provari. I'm not knocking it as I've heard (boy have I heard) all the great things about them. It's just that it doesn't appeal to me. I don't know why?
The only Provari that appeals to me now is the Zombie one. lol

That's the thing.........you need to find the gear attractive. It has to feel right in your hand, look good to you and operate the way you want it to. Billet boxes and my elegance tanks attract me in the same way. I can't describe why they just do. I definitely practice what I preach. If I like it I buy the same thing over and over.

I didn't like the full size lines and the p3 and radius were never on my radar. But the mini appeals.

Indeed! I agree! I'm a confirmed Tootle Puffer who never strays above 8 watts. There's no end of devices for folks like us to choose from! The trick now is to find ones that give us a bit of wiggle room on the LOW end...I like it when the device will go down to 5watts ...just for the wiggle...but 6watts is okay. Those that start out at 7watts...um. No. Too limiting! hahaha!

I love that you and your hubby have worked out such a great system. You can be sure of always getting a gift you'll like and be able to use for years! Me? I end up with seriously "interesting" things, but I tell myself "It's the thought that counts!! Remember...it's the THOUGHT!"
My ex used to say that. It's from his totally inconsiderate ideas of gifts that I learned. The thought that counts is the thought put into caring about what you would really like. NOT that you were briefly thought about at all.

Eeeeek! - flashback (without the snow)! :)

Oh jeez, now you've gone and done it, puf. The beautiful pearl white one 'n all (whimper).

I completely understand your logic. It's the thought of paying the exchange and Lord knows how much for shipping. I just can't bring myself to order one (again with the whimpering). Too many other things I need. Like groceries :)

Thanks for your input though!

I am a fan of kicked nemmys. However, I like my pearl white 2.5 Provari. It was a gift, so price in my comparison is not a factor. In doing an evaluation, you have to compare it to something else.

Advantages:
The 18490 battery lasts a reasonable amount of time.
It stands on its base better than a nemmy. I don't have to worry whether I locked it or not. It does not roll like a nemmy will-- but I am not worried about that, since I don't live in an earthquake zone.
It is just a bit shorter than a kicked nemmy, so they all look nice together.
It gives me reliable Ω readings. I don't have to worry about voltage drop.
It is satisfying in my hand, and I like the button placement. Durable, compared to a Vamo.

Disadvantages:
Shelling out another 30$ for an extension cap for 18650's, plus button-top batteries. This will eventually happen.
VV is not my style. I like my coils all around 1.5 Ω, and, at the lowest v setting, I have to pull a bit before I hit the button-- I would rather tootle on everything the same.
My own reverse vanity-- if people say you are a nobody unless you have a Provari, then I don't want a Provari.
