So glad to know that I'm not alone in my struggles and that someone else has been where I am. I know everyone has there own experiences, but I sometimes feel a bit like an outsider because I haven't completely quit. I love vaping, love the flavor and am even beginning to enjoy DIY and coil wrapping, but I haven't been able to completely give up the cigs. Down to less than a pack a day, from 2 packs a day, but not off 'em. Thank you for sharing that, it helps to actually know someone else that didn't just quit right away.
I smoked for half a year when I first started vaping. Iv even slipped up a few times, but was able to come back easily now that I have been vaping for so long...
My Sig Banner is WAY off, I used cigalikes a very long time ago to cut down but really didnt fully make the switch until Mods & VV devices were out with actual Tanks and such...

Trite, yes, but EVERY cig not smoked is still one less.

Not everyone picks up a vape and sheds cigarettes. I sure didn't. Did it take long? Nah, not really, but there was a lot of consciousness in the process.

I kept my little 510 cigalike on my desk to my right, and a pack of cigs to my left. I allowed my sub/unconscious self to choose. After 10 days, I realized I had smoked only one cigarette the entire day.

That next day goes into my own personal Herstory Book. No cigs today? Can that even be pastable???

And it was. Not a puff, after a lifetime of smoking. And I cried. And cried and cried and cried. I knew I was at the point of mourning the loss of my 'best friend'.

After 5 years+, I'm still amazed that I don't smoke cigarettes.

Like you, Atcha, I dreamt of them somewhat often. Not any more.

But what if they're blueberry?

Welp, in THAT case.......... ;)

Laugh of the Day
He's great and her expressions are even better!!

LJF, I loved that one! She is the star and was PRICELESS!!!!!! Those faces!!!!!!!

...wouldn't it be fun to buy somethin' nice for all the Tootle Puffers? :)

Ummm...... like wristbands, maybe huh huh huh?

I almost never change settings. I just push the button to turn it on and off to put it in my purse, or to check remaining battery to see if I need to change batteries before I walk out the door.

You're a better Heretik than I. I don't even turn them off! Toss into the purse, and BAM, out on the town!

you are not alone. I don't have a provari and don't plan on getting one.but then you never get ahead by running with the pack:lol:

Ahead, dahlink? To where? :)

I was one of the forturnate ones, once I got my nic level "right" (for me, obviously), it was only about a week and I was an ex smoker.

But it's a process, not a toggle switch, and for many that process can take some time. As Kat says, every one not smoked is a degree of harm reduction. So it's all good, and all part of the indivudual's process.

I'm so glad it helps. I smoked and vaped 3 years before quitting. WTA was the key for me

@kad2371 , please don't ever feel like an outsider; this is a safe place to land for those who are trying to quit smoking or stay off the smokes.

Like many have said, it's a personal journey, heck, life is a personal journey. Celebrate each puff of a smoke you don't take and try to resist comparing yourself to others here.

You are amongst friends :)

Cheers

And remember, if quitting smoking was easy, none of us would need to vape!

One year smoke free!!
I'm just wanted to thank the little people that made this possible.
But seriously, the ECF and the knowledge and experience has made my journey a joy.
I bought my gift to myself back a couple of months ago and have decided to go back to my real hobby of reading.
I will be cutting back on following most of the threads except for the news and legislature.
I will pop up from time to time but I just want to thank the members who have helped me the most!
All of which post in this thread.

pretty much the same from here. Am backing off on my time here. Plus I usually avoid the net a lot during a presidential election year.

Don't worry about it. I have a friend that smokes too and sometimes I'll take a puff. ;)
