Syringes w/needles for $5 and less per 100, catch them quick, they're on sale. I've bought from them with no problems.
Stormi, I'll try:
1. Take the o-ring off the fob cap. It's fragile and easily gets ruined when drilling.
2. Cut off the top keyring nub and file/sand top surface smooth.
3. Drill hole for atty connector in fob cap and another for battery connector in fob bottom. Depending on your tools start with a smaller hole and gradually expand the hole by filing/ sanding. A press fit is desired.
4. Solder a wire, 2-4 inches, (26awg is beefier and helps hold needle in place better than 28awg) in the bottom connector, sealing bottom hole with the solder.
5. Choose a needle that clears through atty connector hole and atty. Not too snug, not too loose. Using a small 510 connector (madvapes) a 18G is good for me. 20G might be good too, YMMV.
6. Remove plastic from end of needle and most of the glue too. Leave the topmost ridge of glue. Trim/blunt needle so that it will still protrude through connector when at its lowest point in the fob (so the top of needle can't escape into fob) . Rough up the needle with a file in the middle of the remaining section.
7. Solder other end of wire to the middle of needle and make sure it stays. Tinning the wire and wrapping it around the needle helps, as does having the blob go around the needle. Tinning the needle could work too, I didn't.
8. Place a small section of heatshrink tubing on the bottom of the needle up to the ridge of remaining glue that protects teh bottom of the needle from shorting.
9. Reassemble the bottom connector and apply the glue of your choice to the fob bottom (outside) and press fit connector into the bottom of the fob. Also glue side holes of connector, The entire bottom portion should be airtight. Let glue cure completely.
10. Assemble all the parts, coiling the wire inside the fob and positioning the needle somewhat in line with the cap. Because the wire in the bottom keeps the needle askew, it is always in contact with the top connector or atty maintaining the positive connection, and the negative through the fob body.
Now you are done, so add juice and set the needle to a good height. A little practice and you'll have quite the vaping session![]()
way to go stormi!OK, FIRST ONE IS FINALLY DONE! I just started using it and so far (fingers crossed) it appears to be working. I had a few problems with the holes not coming out straight but will do another later just wanted to test this awhile first. I have it hooked up to my Vape Stick with an LR atty and I'm liking it. Now just need to make sure it comtinues to feed properly.
what do you mean by "lose tension"? like miss the positive contact? never happened. try sticking one of those LED legs into a needle. you'll see how it fits nicely. and i dont know why but SUCKaTON seems to work much better with the EM-LR510's. i tried it with regular attys on my buzz but it was kinda "nah!"... 3.7 device - EM-LR510 - SUCKaTON = holy triade of vaping goodness universe!!!!D, how are the legs working? I'm only worried they might bend or lose tension on the needle. The needle slips over just one of the 2 right?

this is NOT a plug and play. i find myself very happy with it most of the time but sometimes i get tired of tweaking with it and go back to my bottom feeding bottle or dripping or whatever else.I gave up for today, maybe the wrong guage needle. I tried one with 1/16 copper tube and couldn't get anything through it. I'll try again next day off!
i have a feeling that me, asdaq and you are the only ones that actually TRIED!! sadly!MisterD- you have a good thing here but no so good if you're the only one (besides asdaq, of course) that can get it right. I want this to work!!! Need your help!!! Please do a video!
How's that??
I ordered 300(3 different boxes/gauges) yesterday and received an email this morning telling me that the state of NY requires a medical license in order to purchase needles or syringes. They said that there are a few states with similar laws. I assume they're afraid of ...... addicts ordering clean syringes weeks in advance? Hell I can go to the pharmacy and buy up to 10 syringes with no questions asked thanks to the 'clean needle act'.Syringes w/needles for $5 and less per 100, catch them quick, they're on sale. I've bought from them with no problems.
lol I know 300 is overkill, but they came in boxes of 100 for $5ea. I did buy some Stainless Steel 304 Hypodermic Round Tubing, 15 Gauge, 0.0720" OD, 0.054" ID, 0.009" Wall, 60" Length a couple weeks ago. It seemed the perfect size, fit everything great except was too large to go through the hold in the plastic disc within the atty and floods it like crazyMisterD, have a look at Clydes reviews of the afs, it certainly doesnt seem hassle free at all-- several pages and he seems at least slightly frustrated, almost gave up vaping at one point too.
Stormi, I got 2 packs of the k&s 1/16" tubing, but it's just too big for this, plus needs grinding down, not to mention the copper/brass/alu leeching into the juice. Needles are much simpler, cheaper and easier to get.
Krythis, You really aren't going to want 300. 5 in several sizes will keep you busy for a good while. And really saying you are filling the printer cartridge in the pharmacy makes everyone feel better. But do wear the t-shirt
