I think I got it...I'll keep you posted!
Stormi, I'll try:

1. Take the o-ring off the fob cap. It's fragile and easily gets ruined when drilling.

2. Cut off the top keyring nub and file/sand top surface smooth.

3. Drill hole for atty connector in fob cap and another for battery connector in fob bottom. Depending on your tools start with a smaller hole and gradually expand the hole by filing/ sanding. A press fit is desired.

4. Solder a wire, 2-4 inches, (26awg is beefier and helps hold needle in place better than 28awg) in the bottom connector, sealing bottom hole with the solder.

5. Choose a needle that clears through atty connector hole and atty. Not too snug, not too loose. Using a small 510 connector (madvapes) a 18G is good for me. 20G might be good too, YMMV.

6. Remove plastic from end of needle and most of the glue too. Leave the topmost ridge of glue. Trim/blunt needle so that it will still protrude through connector when at its lowest point in the fob (so the top of needle can't escape into fob) . Rough up the needle with a file in the middle of the remaining section.

7. Solder other end of wire to the middle of needle and make sure it stays. Tinning the wire and wrapping it around the needle helps, as does having the blob go around the needle. Tinning the needle could work too, I didn't.

8. Place a small section of heatshrink tubing on the bottom of the needle up to the ridge of remaining glue that protects teh bottom of the needle from shorting.

9. Reassemble the bottom connector and apply the glue of your choice to the fob bottom (outside) and press fit connector into the bottom of the fob. Also glue side holes of connector, The entire bottom portion should be airtight. Let glue cure completely.

10. Assemble all the parts, coiling the wire inside the fob and positioning the needle somewhat in line with the cap. Because the wire in the bottom keeps the needle askew, it is always in contact with the top connector or atty maintaining the positive connection, and the negative through the fob body.

Now you are done, so add juice and set the needle to a good height. A little practice and you'll have quite the vaping session:vapor::vapor::vapor::vapor:

OK, FIRST ONE IS FINALLY DONE! I just started using it and so far (fingers crossed) it appears to be working. I had a few problems with the holes not coming out straight but will do another later just wanted to test this awhile first. I have it hooked up to my Vape Stick with an LR atty and I'm liking it. Now just need to make sure it comtinues to feed properly.

Great to hear Stormi, I hope you are liking it. You getting it to regulate nicely?

D, how are the legs working? I'm only worried they might bend or lose tension on the needle. The needle slips over just one of the 2 right?

This could use a window. Not that I want to make one, but knowing how much juice is left would be nice. I've an idea for an acoustic juice level indicator but it's laughable at best.

I do wonder what off-the-shelf parts Scottbee has in his setup, if any. Maybe just a "needle"? :p

what do you mean by "lose tension"? like miss the positive contact? never happened. try sticking one of those LED legs into a needle. you'll see how it fits nicely. and i dont know why but SUCKaTON seems to work much better with the EM-LR510's. i tried it with regular attys on my buzz but it was kinda "nah!"... 3.7 device - EM-LR510 - SUCKaTON = holy triade of vaping goodness universe!!!!

Be prepared to buy a lot more juice. With almost the same set up, I was up to 12 mil a day. I finally had to put it down and force myself to use a reg 510 atty on a reg manual 3.7 bat for a day just to get away from it.:laugh::laugh:

Ok, now i get it. I thought the magic was in that needle slipped over one and got pinched by the other, sort of like tweezers. I'll have a look at the fit in the morning.

Roadrash, keep that up and you/we will be up to 640mg nic in no time complaining "but where's da flava?"

I gave up for today, maybe the wrong guage needle. I tried one with 1/16 copper tube and couldn't get anything through it. I'll try again next day off!
this is NOT a plug and play. i find myself very happy with it most of the time but sometimes i get tired of tweaking with it and go back to my bottom feeding bottle or dripping or whatever else.
i'll see if i can put up another video tomorrow. im really not good at describing how it works with words so maybe a video might come handy.
if you guys wanna post to remind or encourage me :)facepalm:) on doing it than im probably gonna really do it...

MisterD- you have a good thing here but no so good if you're the only one (besides asdaq, of course) that can get it right. I want this to work!!! Need your help!!! Please do a video!
How's that??
i have a feeling that me, asdaq and you are the only ones that actually TRIED!! sadly!
I started working on it back at the begain of June. Dont worry stormi! if my math is right you should get it right by the end of the month (cos you're smarter than i am) :p
when i started this i was hoping for people to jump in and contribute with ideas and try their own but people just want stuff to plug it in and be heaven. people even cry about having to replace a battery and putting the old one to charge... :(
maybe everybody should just get their own AFS. is it even a plug and play? do they still require a hole to be drilled on the atty?
i'll do a video tonight in the hopes of helping peeps out. i sent madvapes my first suckaton about 10 days ago and havent heard back from him and dont think this stuff is gonna happen. who cares anyways?

Syringes w/needles for $5 and less per 100, catch them quick, they're on sale. I've bought from them with no problems.
I ordered 300(3 different boxes/gauges) yesterday and received an email this morning telling me that the state of NY requires a medical license in order to purchase needles or syringes. They said that there are a few states with similar laws. I assume they're afraid of ...... addicts ordering clean syringes weeks in advance? Hell I can go to the pharmacy and buy up to 10 syringes with no questions asked thanks to the 'clean needle act'.

Guess it's time to bust out an old punk tshirt and run to Rite Aide :2cool:

MisterD, have a look at Clydes reviews of the afs, it certainly doesnt seem hassle free at all-- several pages and he seems at least slightly frustrated, almost gave up vaping at one point too.

Stormi, I got 2 packs of the k&s 1/16" tubing, but it's just too big for this, plus needs grinding down, not to mention the copper/brass/alu leeching into the juice. Needles are much simpler, cheaper and easier to get.

Krythis, You really aren't going to want 300. 5 in several sizes will keep you busy for a good while. And really saying you are filling the printer cartridge in the pharmacy makes everyone feel better :). But do wear the t-shirt

lol I know 300 is overkill, but they came in boxes of 100 for $5ea. I did buy some Stainless Steel 304 Hypodermic Round Tubing, 15 Gauge, 0.0720" OD, 0.054" ID, 0.009" Wall, 60" Length a couple weeks ago. It seemed the perfect size, fit everything great except was too large to go through the hold in the plastic disc within the atty and floods it like crazy :(

i had the 510 small hole connector and the 16G needle dont fit into it but if you grind the inside a lil bit using a rotary tool its just perfect. i work in a pharmacy and have easy access to all kinds of needles so i tried em all. the 16G by being a tight fit gives little room for the air to get inside the reservoir and so floading is less of a problem. it can still fload but its less likely to happen. it also makes for a better pos connection then all you do is screw your atty in and out to regulate the suction...at least thats what goes on with my SUCKaToN. might (and certainly is) be different with asdaq V2.5. he swears by his 18G but i think he should try the 16G. GO 16, dude!!!! dont let a bigger size scare you! :)
