I skinned one of my VAMOs with an art deco inlay pattern using the 3D carbon vinyl. The vinyl is textured even though it doesn't show up in the photo.

I would highly recommend the 3D carbon vinyl to anyone who is tempted to give wrapping their own VAMO or any other PV a try. The vinyl is heavier than the inkjet printable vinyl, is repositionable many times and couldn't be more more forgiving when working with it. It's also very easy to remove air bubbles.
This is the template I used (plain, no deco pattern) which shows no gaps between the VAMO skin sections. The extension cap and battery section edges might become tatty looking in time because there is no metal underneath to support them.

Open source Inkscape should be able to edit this .svg file if you need to tweak dimensions. Also, most electronic cutter software should be able to import this file. - VAMO template carbon.svg.zip

If someone has access to an electronic cutter and wants the .svg or .studio file for the deco inlay pattern PM me and I will email the file(s) you want. Doing the inlay is an insanely fiddly, idiot's delight project so I didn't bother putting the files up on Dropbox.
Glad you liked my wrap. Being able to cover or not cover sections according to what one prefers is a definite advantage with DIY wraps.
I've only thought of selling in passing. I'm a very slow crafter so it's highly unlikely to be a practical endeavor.
Thank you, Koman. Doing the finely detailed pattern was an idiot's delight but a simpler pattern would be fairly easy to do. The 3d carbon fiber vinyl is extremely forgiving.

^^^ The 4" * 8" sample sizes for $3 shipped is a good deal for anyone who doesn't need or want carbon fiber vinyl for other projects. Thanks for the links.
Some details, the buttons have no more rattle snake sounds, so now I have a silent pv.
This looks swee-eet. How did the wrap silence the button rattles?? They vinyl doesn't appear to be touching them.
I received my silver and black carbon vinyl pieces today. I will try to wrap one of them in the next few days and post some pics too.
