I vape almost anywhere. The only places I don't are planes and caltrain (which to my surprise banned it; I almost got thrown off last week). The only time I had to stop vaping was in a movie theatre; some kid said "NO SMOKING INSIDE," and my girlfriend got really uncomfortable so she asked me to stop.
I'm sad the ban is incoming probably in CA; it was fun while it lasted...

I vape almost anywhere I go. I do ask first and so far have not been told no. I do use a little common sense, not in the hospital, not while fueling my car and, I ask people seated near me in bars, restaurants and movie theaters and such.

Overall I get a positive reaction and, curiosity. I've had a few want to buy my juice to use as an air freshener - it smells good. :)

Restaurants- 1 out of 30 time I was asked to leave.
Bus- 0-2. Driver wanted to buy my APV.
Movie- 0-4. A girl insisted that I blow my vape her way cause she liked the way it smelled.
Market 0-3. I tend to no vape in front of kids. I don't want to send them a bad message.
Card Room Casino 1-1. People started lighting up real cigs.
Bars/Club 0-15. The place where vaper gathers.

I use a cronus / k100 mod with nimbus atty, so my smokes are extremely thick.

I vape all day I don't do it in a restaurant because some of the vapor can smell pretty strong, and I don't want to adversely affect the enjoyment of someone else's meal by the smell of my vapor. But I have vaped in grocery stores before, I'm kind of inconspicuous when I do it, people see it and they automatically think omg that's smoke you can't do that, so I watch it, but I still vape anywhere I want for the most part, but I am still careful because I don't want to give vapeing a bad name either. If I'm at a theater I will stealth vape by blowing the vapor into my shirt so that no one sees it, and it works great.

If I'm going to be anywhere indoors for a while I always ask what the policy is on vaping before I start puffing. I'm don't need it so badly that I'll leave and boycott a business if I can't vape indoors, I just like to know if I can grab a vape without having to go outside. If I can, awesome, if not, I'm happy to step outside. I live in the SF Bay Area in California, so it's not as though going outside sucks ;) I do leave my mod out in plain sight, on the table, either way because it seems to help raise awareness--people just seem to want to know what it is. It can't be drugs, he's got it sitting out on the table. But it looks like it's for smoking something. What is that? Someone will invariably ask about it, and I'm always happy to explain and educate if people are curious. So far, people have been very cool about it.

Outdoors, I don't care except for around children--I'm not about to be responsible for a child telling his parents he wants one because it smells like candy/fruit/dessert

My friends and I vaped in an irish pub once. The bartender and staff were fine with it, but apparently they got a lot of complaints from other patrons who thought we were smoking (apparently they were too far away to smell the root beer, moo juice and extreme ice we were vaping).

Yeah, regular people can't tell the difference usually.

Calling PVs "electronic cigarettes" is as silly as calling nicotine gum "chewable cigarettes"

I love your signature.

I hate the term "electronic cigarette". We might as well call the act "digital smoking".

The word "cigarette" just has too many negative associations - for good reason! I think the more people use the word "e-cig" the harder it will be for others to accept vaping in non-smoking areas. When people ask me about it, I tell them I'm using my personal vaporizer to inhale a flavored mist that is similar to, but slightly warmer than, an asthma inhaler.

WORDS MATTER.

I was at a wedding in Los Gatos CA (Testarossa Winery) and after a few cocktails I was looking for a place to sneak off to for a vape, I noticed a few people in a outside area smoking analogs and cigars, so I walked out there and vaped, about 2 mins later a worker had come by and said "no smoking out here please" turned and looked at me and said "your good". Thumbs up for Testarossa Winery! I will be back.

I've been delving into older threads in this section of the forum and it's encouraging to see how people's attitudes have shifted on this subject.

Today, even people who want to vape everywhere at least pay lip service to the concept of courtesy. This seems to indicate that the majority (at least the majority of posters) actually want vaping to have a long term place in their lives and in the world.

Looking at posts from a couple of years ago, the attitude was more like, "I pray someone looks at me funny. I'll tackle them to the ground and blow vapor in their face!! I'll kick cops in the jimmy!! I'll climb a tree and scream that Jesus Christ himself was a vaper and I'll do it until someone shows up to tranquilize me!!" - The people posting in those days seemed to see vaping as a way to trap people into a confrontation so they could unleash their righteous indignation.

Smells like progress to me...

THAT is HILARIOUS!

I touched down at the Charlotte Airport last week and needed to make my connection - I was in concourse Z and the connecting flight was in concourse A - very far away to say the least.

As I was darting through the airport and applying my acrobatics to get around, avoid, and not run over anyone I was kinda stealth vaping as I rolled along toward concourse A hoping that my connecting flight was still there.

Dart, move, avoid, vape, dart, roll, move, avoid, vape. I don't think anyone noticed my vaping as they were probably more interested in my acrobatics....

Near my last vape I saw the gate and heard "last call for flight XXXX - I barely made it - but I did make it! NICE.

As I got on the plane I saw that my middle seat was occupied and said, sir you are sitting in my seat - he said, Why don't you take the isle so I can sit next to my wife.

I said that I was hoping that I could get the middle seat but that I would take the isle seat so he could sit next to his wife....

The passengers laughed.... I laughed too and because of my acrobatic vaping I was nicotine satiated and ready for my flight home...

Is there a reason for this story? No...
