Yeah, we had another guitar string question last night. I can see why folks are tempted, but I've played for 35 years and haven't used any strings that would be appropriate for vaping. There may be some, but none that I'm aware of.
The B string on my basses are .130". Is that too thick? I have both nickel and stainless.:D

I've got a mess of aluminum electric fence wire... ;)

Attention all noobs!!! I am kidding.

I fear the next post by Mr. Boden will be reports of stolen fencing. As it's likely to happen in the dark of night, best identification will be "Sounded like Beavis & Butthead laughing, only interrupted by the occasional Bro! and Brooo!"

Sorry to say it but; this is an example of why, for the good of vaping, inexpensive mech mods need to go. A regulated mod wouldn't even have let him fire that build. I know that, without regulation of the industry as a whole, they can't be officially banned. Vendors should take it upon themselves to stop selling them. The days of buying a $10 Nemesis clone and a $3 18650 should be relegated to the dustbin of vaping history.

Disagree. Strongly. Mechs are great. I will agree that vape shops should make an effort to educate anyone who buys one though. They are dangerous in the hands of the stupid or ignorant. But as was said earlier, Darwin Award candidates will always be there and a certain percentage of them will undoubtedly be vapers.

For perspective: Not a whole lot of regulated mods can pride themselves in preventing someone from trying to pull 200 watts out of... I quote

a trustfire and a MXJO battery
