Hailing from Crab Orchard! Thought I was all alone out here - with my imaginary friends on ECF. Been vaping 9 weeks. Not shy about it, I vape everywhere now like in my house, in my car with the windows up. You might see me on the road if you read bumper stickers you can't miss me! I'm a 25+ year 1.5PAD former analogger. Glad to have found y'all here. Every day at work someone comes to tell me a story about seeing someone vape in public, so it's definitely coming along fast. I'm lovin it and hope to hear more about you. I'm not into the whole dripping thing, I just do cartomizers and absolutely love them. So don't try and convert me, just let me be the oddball - it's who I am.

Well my first e-cig gets here tomorrow. The next couple of weeks are gunna be fun! Time to quit analog's for good!

I found your Facebook group yesterday. I am going to try to make the next meeting. Why are the meetings at Incredible Daves I heard that was a Chuck E Cheese like place with booze? Yes I do live in Louisville (east end) between rt146 and Old Henry rd.
We have our meetings at Incredible Dave's because that is where we have had them in the past and they don't mind if we vape there. It is a place that we can all sit down and pull out our pvs' and e-juices and talk easily. We are open to ideas of new places for meetings, in fact, our March meeting was at Buffalo Trace Distillery in the clubhouse. If you have any suggestions for a future meeting place, just let us know.

Well just checked FedEx.com its on the truck! I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I've tried to quit in the past, and I know it aint gunna be easy. I do think this e-cig as a tool to quit will help more than anything else I have tried (at least I'm praying). My wife said she might go to her mom's tonight after work to spend the night LOL because she knows I'm gunna be a ....... But it's time to quit! All my buddies kids are old enough to smell it on me, and know what it is. I cant run and hide anymore to smoke. I never smoke in front of kids that know me because I dont want them to think if Uncle Rob does it then it's OK! I'm the last of my group that still smokes, enough is enough!!!!! Will do my best to make the next meeting, I'm sure by then I will deff! need a couple of strong drinks!

Congrats on making the first step to a healthier life. Now remember vaping is not a smoking cessation. It is just a more healthier way to smoke. A lot of people have quit doing both all together and for them I applaud that. But either way, if you vape and you are off analogs that is the main thing. Do you remember what MG of nic you got in your juice for your first order? Coming straight of smokes to vaping you would need a higher MG then you can start over time to taper down. I started at 24MG and I am now down to 8MG over 3 months. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. A lot of nice people in this group and they will be more then willing to help. I bought a kit. It came with a bottle of juice, and its 16mg. I also bought one more the same strength since it was all coming from the same place. That was the highest level they offered. If I need higher level I have already talked to a local guy here that does Pure Vapes, and I will get some him if I need a higher level. I only smoke a PAD so I hope that will be good enough, If not I will vape more until I can get with Nikhil (hope I spelled that right). I am just using the e-cig as help, maybe I might keep vaping. Maybe I might taper off the nic, not sure yet. Just wanna worry about getting analogs out the way right now! Thanks for ALL of your support, and look forward to meeting as many of you that come to the next meeting. I will be dragging along my buddy that has been vaping and smoke free for 2 months (if his wife and baby will let him go).
Orion makes a very good point. I too was a pack-a-day smoker, but I started on 18mg and it wasn't nearly enough. If you find yourself still craving the analogs, it's almost certain that it's due to the nic level. When you're getting enough nic, you shouldn't feel nervous, anxious, short-tempered, unsatisfied, or any of those other things you typically associate with nicotine withdrawal. For my part, I didn't even intend to quit smoking, I just wanted to be able to smoke without going out in the cold and the rain. At first I was vaping and still doing about 5 analogs a day so I talked to some people here and they mentioned the higher nic levels, so I went up to 26 and then I started forgetting to take my smoke breaks. After about a day I realized I wasn't smoking at all anymore.
I'm a big fan of Nikhil's e-juice, his strawberry shortcake is the best I've tried. However, he makes his stuff on demand, so it could be a day or two to get something. If you need something stronger in the short-term, several of us live here in Louisville and we'd be happy to loan you a bottle until you can get your order.
LOL, I beat a 40 year pad Kool habit, and the ONLY other time I quit smoking all of my friends left town together for the weekend and wouldn't tell me where they went.
OTOH, I've had a near permanent smile on my face since I started vaping.+1 started with 18mg, but couldn't stop the cigs until I went to 24mg. If you find yourself headachey or craving and can't get it immediately, I have some 24 and 30 if you need it.
Yah I think I should have gotten a higher dose, getting ready to goto Incredible Daves with my bud. Nikhil said he will prolly be able to come up later. But I'll keep puffin this thing, and I have to say it has already helped.
Well well well, I have not had a real cig in 6 hours. The real test for me was going out and havin a 3-4 drinks. Well I went out had some drinks sat outside in the smoking area puffed my ecig, and now I'm home. Never really wanted a smoke. Now I'm home, we split a 6 pack and puffed, he does the eccig thing too, he got me started. I have never been able to do that comfortably before. Well now I'm drunk that always got me to smoking, still no anlaog cigs, guess what. I STILL DONT WANT A ANALOG SMOKE, I CANT BELEIVE IT! I know I have a long way to go but I cant beleive whats happening, this is F-ING the best thing I have ever done!!!!!!!!!

Thats great! Glad you made it through no analogs. One addiction slowly going away to give you another. Soon new PV's mods, and don't forget the juices.. ohhhhhhhhh the juices........ Nikhils Butterscotch Cookie my new all day vape mmmmmmmmmmm
Welcome KY.Hick, Its great and becomes fun, like many others I stumbled across it. Being a pad + for 35yrs down to 4 or 5 on a bad day was excellent for me. (Im wrestling my own demons) I have never felt deprived or poor me, mean, as when I tried to quit in the past. I just pull out my PV and puff away. Im sure you are starting to see that already. You have lots of support here on ECF and BLUEGRASS VAPORS are a great group of friendly and fun people. Forgot Im Danelle
