Well, not sure if I still qualify as a newbie, although I do for this forum.

Back in May a person I really respect posted in a fish keeping forum that he had quit smoking overnight after trying e-cigs. He was exactly like me, same age (50) same length of smoking (35 years) and no desire to quit. He included links to the e-cig forums.

I kid you not, I probably chain smoked 2-3 packs of stinkies reading all the threads, trying to figure out the lingo, and thinking you are all nuts. I had never been exposed to e-cigs, seen anyone using one, or even really heard of them.

Well, when I decided to take the plunge, I had heard of SI. I was going to order a starter kit, but had a question, so I called. The person I talked to was awesome. After a bit of back and forth, he suggested I forgo the starter kit and just buy a couple of manual 900mah X2 batteries. I am glad I did, love them. I did buy a little while back, a silver 78 auto which I like occasionally also.

In a nutshell, I have had 1 stinky since May 26th. That was only to compare after a couple of days....blech.

I have already converted 1 co-worker, 1 friend, 1 sister and 1 Mom (mine) to SI.

So, since I want to start participating in this sub-forum, figured I should introduce myself first. BTW, I use the SI sig banner on the other forum, according to that banner, I have avoided 3120 stinkies. That is amazing!

Sitting down, facing forward.
Welcome to Voltvile, Mark. Anyone who's a vaper, Volt user and a dog lover is good people! Congratulations on your success at getting off of tobacco. Those D#@% things can be tough to break, but Volt/SI got me through, so far at least, and it looks like you're way ahead of me. Way to go!

Another Voltie newbie here...I got my starter kit on 8/30/12, smoked one analog that day and never looked back. Unfortunately, I didn't prepare for a "long" weekend and my sample cartos are done. I have a pack of analogs in the freezer but really don't want them at all. Instead I purchased a couple of "disposables" locally but look forward to receiving my 2nd SI order tomorrow.

Still in the testing stage but I love the Volt!

Welcome, and congrats! I say this to all I come across, "You will not be disappointed with the folks here. They will answer your questions, make recommendations and keep you entertained. I love it here. Wish I had more time to hang out. I seem to miss a day or so between posts.

Hi all. Ive been lurking here for a long time, I feel like I know some of you. I havent been on in awhile and I decided to join the forum so I could come here. I havent ever belonged to a forum and I am a bit of a trained monkey on the computer, but I decided to start so I can respond to people instead of talking to the computer. I've been analog free for almost a year, I've had lots of frustrations but I have to say I love smokeless image. The hardware is the best I've come across yet! I love the many of the sweet liquids and I wish I had discovered them months before I did, I would have saved a ton of $. Thanks all for being you, you are by far the nicest group of people Ive seen on these forums. I will try to catch up on recent threads so I can contribute:)
