Hello, everyone. Just ordered the Smokeless Image premium starter kit along with extra goodies a couple of days ago and am expecting it all to arrive tomorrow. Smoker for over 40 years, will be burying my mother from cancer tomorrow, so this fact made me realize I really need to stop the cigs.

My vapor story: Never knew about e-cigs until seeing some disposables in the gas station/convenience stores. Bought a nJoy to test, not too bad but I knew there must be something better out there. Researched on the internet (googled e-cigs; found the e-cigs forum and Youtube reviews) I liked what I was reading about Smokeless Image...their high quality product line, variable choices, reasonable prices, and reputable customer service. Finally decided to pull the plug and order when my mother died.

I will have 2-78 white auto and 2-78 black auto batteries for on the go. I got both portable chargers as I couldn't decide which one I would like more. (I plan to loan out a couple batteries and a charger to smoker friends to try out the Volts for a day or two).

I also got the new X2 1300 with a clearomizer for home use. Got the Sweet sampler and Ice Menthol (Marlboro Menthol Lite analog user) carto packs to start with the 78's, in addition to a bottle of Ice Menthol for the clearomizer. I'm hoping I will be pretty good to go with the hardware setup, now will enjoy experimenting with the juices.

I'm already not smoking at work (hospital banned tobacco a year ago. instant termination if caught), I got by sucking on Jolly Ranchers at first but haven't needed them for a few months now. Still look forward to the analogs when away from work. Tried the gum/lozenges/patches and even hypnosis to no avail over the years. I'm hoping e-cigs will fulfill my cravings and satisfy my learned behavior as I wean myself from nicotine.

So glad I found these forums, Smokeless Image, and you guys for support. :vapor:

Welcome, Baditude! Glad to have you here on the forum. I'm really sorry about your mother. It's hard when we lose a parent.

This group is great for giving support, advice and help. Our fearless leader, Imagine, is the SI representative here and she is always ready to answer questions about the Volt products. Let us all know what you think after you get your goodies tomorrow.

Welcome to Voltville Baditude. Sounds like you ordered well first time out. Sorry for your loss. I lost my Mother, Father and one Sister to smoking as well but that doesn't mean we have to follow suit. I wish E-cigs had been there for them but they weren't an option then. Glad you did your homework and found Volt from the get go. A lot of us here spent a lot of money on 510s and mods before we got here.

Welcome Bad. I echo the others regarding your loss :(

Out of curiosity, have you asked or know what your hospital's policy is on using ecigs? Do they count that as tobacco use too? Not that you'd wander the halls using one.
I think these will work for you, since it sound like you may be more attached to the enjoyment of smoking rather than the addiction of it. These have satisfied that for me. Good luck!

Welcome, Baditude!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. I lost my mother to cancer in 2000. My cousin is at extreme health risk, and is trying ecigs, too. I have made it a kind of mission within me to help as many as I can away from tobacco cigarettes. Smokeless Image worked for me, it will work for others.

You're starting off with a great arsenal! All the best goodies! Maybe your hospital will allow breaks outside or in your car with the SI batteries, if they know it isn't analogs. We will hope.

I expect to see you around here lots. We're behind you, and always willing to share our crazy support.

Thanks to all who gave me such a fine welcome. I'm a firm believer in support groups (one got me thru an emotional, nasty divorce about 12 years ago), so its nice to find new friends to consult and sometimes get a hug(?).

I'm not too concerned about a need to vape at work, I haven't really smoked there in over a year. It would be nice to demonstrate to smoker co-workers, but I may have to just display my gear and allow them a brief gear trial should they be interested. Besides, the suits (authority higher-ups) that make decisions, IME, are never open-minded once they make a policy. There recently was a rumor that a department head was vaping in her office, and that led to her being fired (she allegedly had other issues against her, too).

Wow, bummer for being fired for vaping, but it sounds more like vaping was an excuse to justify the other issues, or make it over the top, so to speak. No, don't risk your job. But feel better about vaping as much as you want when away from the job.

Hugs are free around here. Always. :)

Welcome, Baditude! As was said earlier--there's almost always someone around here to help you out, if you have ??'s or just want to pass the time. We have shift workers, insomniacs, retirees, folks from half-way around the world and a squirrel, so "the bar's always open". I will wish you well as you get through tomorrow.

Fixed it for ya, Catlady. :)
