T for Texas!
Hi, haven't been here for awhile, and i see i'm not the only getting back to mtl. After all rta's and rda's, feels funny to say it, but i really like the simplest joyetech aio :D
Now i'm thinking about getting a second one, but there are couple of things that i would prefer to have. A bit of vw control would be nice, but mostly rewickable coil heads. Think i'm done with coil building ( i travel a lot, and it's a pain to carry all that stuff around ), but would still like to change the wick that was put in the coil by a chineese hand.

I'm really enjoying e cigarette as something i don't have to mess with every day, just change the coil when needed, fill it up and done. So i wasn't really following all the new products in the last year or so, and i'm kinda lost now. I was eyeing the joyetech basic and the cubis mini with notch coil, which looks like it could be fairly easy to rewick, but guess it's not the best mtl option. Also looks like it didn't get as popular as it was supposed to be a year ago?
Anyhow, i would really appreciate any suggestions, especially about some good rewickable coil heads.

Thanks a lot,

regards, M.

Innokin T18 is a new MTL product that has gotten a lot of good reviews. I don't believe the heads are easily rebuildable though.

eGo One has a nice, easily rebuildable coil in their CLR options.

Protank coils are also very easy to rewick, if you enjoy their coils.

Some ways away from koala forests
Since I last visited this thread I picked up a Doggy Style RTA and for kayfun-type tight draw fans (it has just a touch more open draw) it's a really nice and cheap option. Easy to build and wick, good flavour, very compact and I've had zero leaking.

With a wilderness trip coming up I've also looked for a suitable MTL kit for travel purposes and the ideal coil heads for the job would be the 1 ohm CLR coils by Joyetech; just replace when needed and rewick/rebuild when back at home.

The problem is that the ideal tanks, Joyetech's sturdy enough "Ego One Mega V2", seem kind of hard to find now being last year's design and Joyetech is churning out new ever-incompatible tank and coil designs faster than anybody cares to keep up with!

The less sturdy Pico and Pico-S RTAs can use CLR coils if one gets the adapter. They're probably an option for daily MTL existence, but less ideal for the rigours of life in the woods...

One thing puzzles me though. The Joyetech CLR coils seem universally loved for being easily rewickable/rebuildable while performing well. Why aren't the tank cloners paying attention and designing updated and upgraded tanks around such a popular platform?

Correct. The "style" in Doggy Style wasn't enough to denote its lowly clone status. No pawprint logo on the chamber. Ultra simple design inside and out, but very functional. No need for fancy juice flow controls and I hope there will be more tanks designed around this deck+chamber.
