Hmm... all my drip tips fit my mini v3 and my plus. Have a pic?

The tip won't even fit the openings on the KFM3 and Plus….Ive tried a nautilus drip tip….and a couple of other narrow bore ones from FT…I wonder if I need to lube it with some eliquid and try again….but the part that won't fit is metal.

I just got the merlin today, still learning but it's providing an amazing vape, much better than the Kayfun mini v3. Dunno if it's better than my hurricane yet but I could never figure out why my hurricane leaked like crazy

The hurricane (clone) seeps a little liquid off and on from the area just above the AFC ring….must be some problem there …Ive heard its quite tricky to get that afc ring off since there are a one or two ball bearings there that supply tension to the afc ring….if those are lost the afc is ruined….I just wipe the liquid off and live with it….great atty otherwise.

This thread was an interesting read.

I've been using the KFM3 for a while now switching over from the KFL+2; flavor is lacking just a bit but I find the KFM3 the better overall tank. If you tighten the airflow almost all the way the flavor can get there. I'm liking the draw a bit more airy than the lite+ though. I find the mini a bit easier to wick, and the juice control is fantastic. Not one of those marketing gimmicks that advertises being adjustable but it's really just opened or closed. A bit of leaking all it takes to fix is a quarter to half turn tighter. This gives it a lot of flexibility over the KFL+2.

I did pick up a smjy KF5 clone, haven't used it yet. It is phenomenal quality for a clone. I tested the draw options and they seem way too airy. Haven't looked around for the MTL kit yet
I have the SMJY KF5 as well. I feel it definitely needs the air flow kit for mtl..the original kit is only 10$ but dose any one know if it fits this clone? I used to be into all the DL tanks but found myself now going back and really enjoying mtl tanks..was always about flavor for me...I got lost awhile in the sub ohm world..now I'm selling it all. Brought back my Nautilus Mini out of retirement and picked up the KF3 mini last week....FYI the Taifun GT 3 is coming out. PBusardo is going to review it soon.

The kf3m clone I got from 3fvape also has a very picky 510 drip tip..I found one that works from a shop, very lucky I guess. No others have worked on it. The original tip it came with was almost impossible to remove at first.

What's really needed i think is a universal RTA which could be recognised by all and enables the entire vaping world to explode into the stratosphere. A go to device which everyone would use. Something that everyone could relate to as being what ex smokers and potential ex smokers would instantly go out and purchase. Something which would truly launch the vaping world into the very centre of the world stage and would be recognised as something that represents vaping in a fundamental way.

As it is the industry is still re-inventing, still trying to create the perfect RTA. It's all about the money, the industry, when really none of us consumers care about that.

Cornering the market is what i'm talking about. Producing a fool proof device which will last and works flawlessly and doesn't cost the earth. Governments would be happy with that too.

All we have at this moment in time is dozens of companies who just keep remodelling existing hardware purely to keep their heads above water. There is a whole world of RTA's available on the market, some are great and some are just crap.

To get a good RTA which works how you want it to costs more than most new users are willing to part with. There's a good reason right there why smokers won't give vaping a chance. The fact that there are so many different RTA's available means that not everyone is satisfied with any one particular model.

Does this mean that users are desperately concerned with making it or forcing it to work just to stay off the tobacco ?.

People progress from the cheap hardware to the more expensive hardware because of how well the cheap hardware works. If it worked well enough from the start then they wouldn't need to keep spending money on more hardware.

A branded piece of hardware which would represent vaping globally is probably the only thing which will save vaping in the long term. People need that hook, that confidence in a cunsumer product. As it is, not everyone is confident in any one particular device. They cannot decide between the multitude of options and it makes the whole thing seem a lot more complicated than it actually is.

Existing vapers know what they want. Those who are trying desperate hard to quit smoking by taking up vaping find it hard to find the right hardware amongst the junk and jems being offered by the indusrty. It is all a bit hit and miss for those guys and they keep spending their money and lots of them go back to smoking.

The industry simply isn't pulling it's weight in creating hardware that can satisfy everyone. It's funny that in this day and age of innovation that there is no one who is smart enough to create something which works for everyone. They'll all just clutching at straws, it's a stab in the dark and they only measure their success by how much money they make.

Do you think people would continue to innovate if that innovation didn't provide a reward ?.

James dyson is a perfect example. He quite simply keeps reinventing the vacuum cleaner, and what's more astounding is that people keep buying it regardless of the sky high prices he charges.

What mugs are we.

Screw the industry. I want something that works.

Having said all that i use a Kayfun V4.

This gets a little complicated when trying to figure out an RTA that fits all. First of all you have tootle puffers, such as myself, then you have folks that like/need clouds, then there are those that are somewhere in between. For me a KFL, ERLK, a Serpent Mini, and an ego one v2 give me exactly what I'm looking for. For the money I choose the KFl above all. Everybody has their favorites for various reasons. Producing an RTA that spans the whole vaping community just isn't possible IMHO, too many variables. For there to be one RTA for all, there would have to be only one on the market, and it would fit the bill for some, and the rest of us would just have to adjust to it.

The key variable for an RTA is the center airhole. If you have the ability to manage this size, you could have a generic RTA. The Merlin provided a 3.5mm airhole with a 2.4mm screw in plug. If they would have provided additional plugs for 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, etc, this could have been very generic.

I woulder if a space filler for the KF5s larger chamber would make it a better MTL option. Or chimney with a smaller chamber.

IMO the KFV3/V3+ is pretty versatile, with the airflow all the way open nearly being a DL hitter. Then tightened close to fully close becomes a great MTL tank.
I am vaping one right now with the MTL kit.Three different sizes with it.1.2 mm,1.4mm,1.6mm .I am using the 1.4 mm and it is perfect for MTL.The air flow chamber is 3.2 mm as standard,so you have plenty of options with this.

I'm not sure, I have 4 KFMV3s and haven't had any issues with any drip tips I've tried. Do you have more than 1 or just the 1 KFMV3?

If I had to start over with attys, I would be very happy with a kabuki clone (for pre-made coils) and a handful of Kayfun V3 Mini clones….both just work.
I have the nautilus mini. Is the kabuki really that much better, same coils, just wondering? Or is it more like if you had neither at the time, the kabuki is better to buy first.
