Whatever works for you is the best PV to have :) yes I have a Provari, but I really like lighter PV's, (egos's) and I can live with less power, but the Provari is the best PV I own even if I don't always use it, I know it is there if I need it :) It is just a bit too heavy for me but it works great. bnrk

I would like to see what is in bold more than the "it's the best PV ever and no other compares" BS that comes out some of the super fanboy's mouths. This person has stated they like Provary but would like a lighter PV and uses a lighter but has state that the Provari is the best that they own which is an opinion and even stated what they felt was wrong with it "It is just a bit too heavy for me". These are the posts I would like to see in some of the "I am looking for a PV" things. He mentioned Ego in there which means he has at least used/uses one.

Just curious if youve ever visited the Provari owners forums? If you spend some time reading there you might come away with an altogether different opinion of us. Most of the Provari owners I know have tried a plethora of other devices before getting a Provari although lately Ive seen more and more people with less than 50 posts who have dived right in and bought one pretty early on in their vaping career.

It seems you really like posters who say they own a Provari but also mention something they find negative about it and I have to wonder if thats only because it supports your argument and reinforces your choice not to buy one or if its because you perceive that as having less bias than most.

I honestly cant think of a single thing negative to say about my Provari. It works extremely well with my other components.
If I had chosen bad batteries or a different juice or tank system I might not be as happy with it as I am now and I think people forget sometimes that a PV is just one piece a component system.

They all have to work well together or someones not going to be happy.

pbusardo's most recent review of juice he was making the yuck face while vaping a juice with a hh357 and a provari. it's not magic and makes bad flavors good, it's all about what you like/don't like IMHO. never will I put down a provari, but I will gladly tell you that the best way to find what you may like is to find yourself a vape meet in your area in the social groups section or a local b&m shop and bring along some spare drip tips so you can try new things

moral of the story: find what you like, whatever it may be, and vape the heck out of it

Exactly. As wonderful as a Provari can be, it's still all up to your juice and atomizer...

I mostly like seeing people who have a Provari who have tried other devices and are not trying to cram "Provari is the best" down your throat every turn. Don't care if there are any negatives that people have with the Provari but it's the person who states that the provari is a favorite but have tried X and Y and have stayed with the Provari or have gone away from the Provari for X and Y. I also like to hear stories where they started and didn't stay with the ego and tried device 1, 2, 3, etc and ended on X device because of whatever reason. If you love the Provari and find it the best device you have ever had, awesome, if not that's cool too. I tried the Provari and honest, based on my current PV it's actually lighter, but I just didn't like the controls or the ultra bright LED but that's just me. If someone gave me a provari to own and I needed something that I know I could throw through a brick wall, or a person, and then pick it up and keep vaping (Assuming the actual atomizer survived the impact) I would go to it. For me it's 1 simple thing, find what you like and stick with it. Don't jump down someone's throat because they own China Brand A device because you feel your device makes chuck norris cry in it's presence. Yes, that last line was meant as somewhat humor but there are 2 people I have run into that for a week every time I mentioned Provari I got a message that called me a fake vapor because I was told i couldn't afford the device and had no idea what I was talking about or my favorite "You are just to stupid to understand that no other device is a good as the provari". Love love loved that one. I am part of the crowd that says "Vape the way you want, don't cram it down the throats of others if you like the device". The person didn't like the weight, ok, that is a complaint I have heard from others but really, the 18650 battery adds most of that weight.

Great post! I made the mistake of assuming that the Vivi Nova was crap recently even though I liked a lot of its features and convenience.

I posted something to that effect in a thread and the fanbois jumped all over me about it.Who was right? Turns out we both were. They were right in defending a device that works great for them and I was right to post about my negative experience.

As it turns out theres a known issue with Vivi Novas not wicking high vg juices very well and it mutes the flavor. I compared the Nova side-by-side with a carto tank and the flavor was much better in the carto tank.

If we had never had that discussion myself and others who use juices similar to mine might not have known about this issue or a better alternative for our preference in juice.

I can understand and even endorse this post, not that you need it. 4 years ago electronic cigarettes were just a battery, an atomizer and e-liquid. If it werent for people saying what they liked and disliked about something we couldnt have come as incredibly far as weve come in such a short amount of time.

Ive been fortunate to be able to see this hobby and industry grow by leaps and bounds in the past couple of years and can say in all honesty that its the vendors who genuinely listen to their customers feedback on a product and make changes when appropriate that have had the most success.

I started on an Njoy from 7 eleven around two years ago when they were first being pushed down there and thought it was great but eventually went back to cigarettes and then BlkwolfMidnight said he wanted to get off of them. Went out and purchased a blu and was on them when he saw the Ego come up so we purchased them and started hard core on that. Then about 6 months ago stressed went nuts and we both went back to analogs for god knows what reason. We are back off and going through the new devices with the "Oh! Shiney!" Syndrome and I refuse to go back even if I have to just stop all together. I feel better and can actually get sleep again and my sleep apnea isn't trying to kill me anymore since I went back. I am actually looking at purchasing a provari to have so people can try different devices when I drag a few more of my smoking friends into it so they can try before they buy. I might also carry a provari around at times as I am known to drop things when i am extremely tired. I am also looking at a bull box mod because I love real wood devices and don't mind having a box mod hand made with care and precision. Not afraid to spend money to get what I think will be great devices, just sticking to the low cost (Ego APV right now and hoping next week or the week after to have the EVic to check that device out.

Glad to see that this thread is easily evening out and being somewhat neutral with actual debate going on.

I started on Volts. Nice little devices, I still use them on occasion to test new juices (cart filler removal trick). Never had a problem with them, just not enough vapor. Moved on to Ego's but I got tired of the short batt life of 650Mah, so I bought twists. Nicer. NEVER had a problem with a single one I bought. Very dependable, versatile, etc. Really all I ever needed. Then I saw pictures of Caravela's. Oh, Mod Lust! GORGEOUS devices, and with a kick?! Who could want more? But to be practical, I don't want to carry around a Rembrandt outside of the house. So I decided since I was moving to 18XXX batteries anyway, I wanted to be done with Ego chargers and just have one set of chargers. I have two homes, and travel a lot. I can't carry all that stuff and I want simplicity. So I decided that since I was going to go 18XXX batteries, I'd get a Provari for on the road. Not that they're cheap, but at least they're production, and I can get a new one quickly, should some catastrophe befall it, unlike a Caravela.

Bought one on Black Friday. Received it Cyber Monday. Screw fell out of the LED window Wednesday and the plastic caved. Contacted CS, who offered to sell me new screws for a brand new, clearly faulty Provari Mini. I protested. Oh, they missed the fact it was new, despite the order number being RIGHT THERE in the email. Grudgingly sent me ONE little screw, God forbid I drop that nanoscrew trying to get it in. Hey! No backup block to thread it into! So there was the problem. The screen protector it shipped with was the only thing holding the screw in in the first place. So now I'M out $12 for priority shipping with insurance and signature confirmation to send back THEIR POS. Am I alone, no. A friend had one exactly 48 hours longer than my 48, and his battery post has fallen out.

Obviously, there was a production rush before the Black-Cyber weekend and quality control was OUT the door. CS was not very accomodating until I had a fit. Now I find this: eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV V2 (Only Body) [D-B4 APV] - $39.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail
VV, VW, 18350 mini to matching 18650 maxi, will run TWO 18350's, all the circuitry of a Provari including ohm, volt, and short checking. $40. Same quality? I dunno, will it last more than 48 hours before I have to return it on my dime? That's MY litmus. But since I can buy FIVE of them for what I paid for the pro-v, why should I care?

I am actually using the Ego variable volt/watt device and have for around a month now and so far have had no issues. I had to change batteries since my old IMR flat tops did not work with the device at all and had to go with button top protected, the trustfires being the most reliable so far and could get them local. If you want to grab a VW device for cheap that two have had little to no issue with go ahead. The only "complaint" I have with it is it is on the heavy side but a chunk of the weight is from the 18650 I have in it. I have not tried with with 18350's yet so can't say anything about that.

I'm very sorry to hear of your misfortune with ProVari, sadly this is no the first case however I've heard of the lack of customer appreciation. Granted this can happen with anyone but they assume that everyone is an experienced modder and is well versed in repair of APV's it seems.
As for the choice of the Health Cabin eGo APV I have experience with them, they are well built for a mod. I'm not sure if they have fixed the issue with running a singular 13650 battery as of yet. Mine will only run flat top IMR's due to the high drain of the device if you are running singular 13650 or require flat tops for 2 of them. Either way it should work just fine.
Also another choice is possibly a box mod, they are small and readily portable. Depending on the features you can go basic or even as high class as an exotic wood box mod, most have variable voltage and a few variable wattage as well.
Just some thoughts....

C'mon now Im a reasonable person but thats stretching the truth a bit too much for my liking and Im going to have to call b.s

Im sorry you had a bad experience Moueix but I can tell you that if you take the time to search the forums that isnt a very common experience with Provari at all.

If you feel like visiting the Provape forums here send a pm to MonsterKenny and let him know about the difficulties with the screws and your interaction with the sales associate.I would be really surprised if he didnt get back in touch with you within 24 hours and do whatever he can to make this right.

That being said Im fully aware of why this thread was started and Im starting to wonder with all the passive aggressiveness, obvious bias and what amounts to bald-faced lies what the Op is trying to accomplish here.

I've been using button top 1x 18650 and 1x 18350 with my Vamo/eGo APV and both are good. I haven't used 2x 18350 since I don't really have the need personally.

Yea like any organization you are going to run into the .... associate and if you don't like the answer, go higher. I have seen a few complaints with some of the people that work for that company but if you ask to go higher they should honor it and there are some people in that company that want to keep people happy. It's the same with all companies as no company has 100% perfect customer satisfaction because you will into hateful employee's.

With an 18350 its a nice size and weight. I don't find it too heavy with 18650, but it's heavier than my stainless Zmax. Haven't used the chrome Zmax for a while so don't know how it compares with that. Not finding the Vamo too heavy - I don't want a really heavy pv. But it does have a solid feel. Its not lightweight for sure.

Hi Moueix, that must have been a big disappointment for both of you.
I used Volts too - still do sometimes. Man those things have lasted well. Good little pvs. I hope you enjoy the Vamo when it arrives. I saw a video recently where a guy added a black wrap skin to his Vamo. Have to say it looked really good. I might buy another one and play dress ups. I don't want to mess with the one I have. I'll admit it - I like chrome.
