Okay. But I wasn't arguing- just providing info to help someone, and never said or implied one should or could ignore battery safety. So I guess your argument fails because it's not with something I wrote, but something you thought you saw between the lines. Sorry you didn't like the choice of words, but I'm glad you provided useful information this time.
Finally, you don't have to be ready for mechs to still be able to buy them without immediately start using them. Case in point, past May you'll still have plenty of time to learn how to use them safely, just like you'll still have plenty of time after that, to only THEN decide on whether to maybe start using them. The bottom line is, with proper care mechs usually don't break easily. For this reason alone, you might later regret not having any... that is, after your last regulated mod eventually will have died on you.
And I'm glad we can agree- this paragraph echoes almost exactly what I said 10 posts above yours, about looking for a mech to maybe use later if all my regulated mods died, and needing to learn more before using it.
