Why you guys think Provari is expensive??

I'm not going to get into a pissing match with you guys.... buy what the hell you want to. If small variations in volts when the battery is nearly dead bothers you then pay $150.00 more for a Provari. If a few minor first run imperfections bother you...again buy a Provari.
I don't have either but I'm looking at the LT, and will wait for a little bit to see how it shakes out. But with a one year warranty and for 1\4 the price...what the hell.

All nerdy stuff aside, if the Lavatube performs good enough for the buyer then of course it's a better deal than the Provari.
I only spend big money on mechanical mods, not ones with electronics inside which will fail at some point. I bought a Lavatube out of curiosity and it hits perfectly well for me, if it breaks after the 1 year warranty, i'd happily buy another one for 60 something bux, but when you add in the extra costs of 18650 battery cap and stuff for provari you're talking almost triple the price for something which essentially does the same thing minus a couple of features like reading ohms. Depends if those features and the looks are important to you.

IMO...Notcigs isn't a company I would purchase a product from...
The Darwin might be a great vape machine, but it needs a form factor change.
The VV plastic boxes aren't my style...although inexpensive.
The lavatube is an example of an American company ripping off another company & reverse engineering.
Price is a relative thing....some of us smoked premium brands of cigs and fine cigars...
(I have very expensive humidors, lighters, cigar cases, cutters, etc...)

There's a catch to this statement. Most people buy a pack of cigs as they can but not cartons at a time so coming up with $200 isn't always as easy as you think at one time.
At the end of the day, I guess we're lucky there is such a wide variety of VV ecigs available.
We each have different priorities, different hot buttons. It is nice that we have choices, all the way from $50 to $300, can choose what works for us in terms of price and features.

all of these provari vs lava tube threds get heated. Ive seen good points both ways. But i wont order a lava tube untill they have a second or third run manufature of it and have the bugs worked out.
this is just my test results that I was sharing don't get me wrong I like my lava tube I'm just saying there is a big quality difference and at 3.6 I still have hours left on my battery
Heated is one thing and even encouraged!!! But we all need to remember what kind of forum this is, we like to keep it civil and make everyone feel welcome, so any kind of foul language will not be tolerated.
If you buy it from Volcano it comes with a 1 year warranty. Some other are selling it also and calling it different names and some have a 3 month warranty and some a 1 year warranty.

I understand all your arguments, and agree with a few of them. The only thing you've said, twice now, that is really bugging me is that the ProVari is 4x as much as the lavatube. From what I've read, the cheapest you can get the LT is $66 without batteries, just the PV. Then you have to add shipping to that. So, let's say $71 shipped. The cheapest you can get the ProVari is $159 without batteries, just the PV. Shipping is free on any purchase over $100, so that's $159 shipped. If I'm accurate about the base cost of the LT, the ProVari is approx, 2.3 - 2.4 times more expensive than the LT. Yes, still more expensive by quite a margin. Just not 4x more expensive. If you can find a LT for $50, and I am sure a lot of people want to know where, then the ProVari would still not be 4x more expensive. I'm not arguing for or against a LT or a ProVari. I just think posters would do well to state the real costs and not over or under inflate.

Ive had my provari 2 weeks. It was worth every penny i spent. Im buying another for my wife. I Chose to pay a higher price for something i felt would hold that investment longer than my other options on the market. Trying to convince me that another Mod at a cheaper price was a better buy is wasted time. This is the first purchase ive made since i started vapeing that i was not immidiately looking for what i was going to buy next. Its solid. Easy to use. Proven. And best of all dose everything i want. Im a Happy customer.
ditto some of the sentiments above, you buy what you can afford, and/or you buy what you need, and/or you buy what someone else tells you you need.
i have no use for variable voltage it seems, after messing around with it on a passthrough (for the limited juices i care to vape it has made no difference, other than probably working the cartomizers harder and shortening their life by a few hours)
plus i personally don't want to carry around anything bulky and/or that looks like a pipe bomb, and/or so phallic looking
my 2 ego 1100mah's are perfect, for me. but they're not for everyone, just like the provari/lava/etc.
would i take one for free? sure as heck i would, but i'd end up keeping it at home (where it'd serve me perfectly i'm sure) all the time since i wouldn't be caught dead whipping it out in public anywhere.
