Wizard Labs is a Registered Supplier with ECF.

They just don't have a thread going.

:)

Guess I am wrong..I thought I read somewhere that registered suppliers on here couldn't sell e-liquid over a certain nic content..or maybe that doesn't apply to DIY mixing?

Anyways I get all my e-liquid from them now..at about 7 cents/ml it's a really good deal..I have 3 - 500ml bottles of nic (1 is more than half empty now though) and over 30 flavors..I just went with the 24mg nic 70/30% PG/VG though so I can just add flavor without any worries you really..I probably won't need any e-liquid for 6 months lol..might have to replace a couple flavors in a couple months though...

That's an easy way to do it and no real safety issues with the lower concentration. You keep the unflavored stash in the freezer?

Too bad they don't carry 18 mg 70/30% PG/VG - that would be perfect for me to just add flavor to.

You could buy 100% PG (or a lot of options for percentages of PG/VG) in 24mg and add some VG..really if you're looking for 18mg you would probably want around 20mg give or take before adding flavors depending on how much flavor you're adding. I figure my e-liquid after adding flavors comes out around 20-22mg...

No I just keep it on a desk on a dark cool room..my 1st opened bottle is a month old and still as clear as the day I got it. If I was going to store nic for a year or more I might consider freezing it but I figure it will all get used/mixed within 6 months and I don't think it will go bad or change much in that time..I have central a/c also so it rarely gets above 70f in the room it's kept...

I thought about keeping mine in a dark cabinet then changed my mind as I don't have central AC and that's probably not a good thing for the nic juice. So I just keep it in the ref rig - not the freezer.

If you had a basement that probably would be cool enough..the fridge is probably good too but when taking it out of the fridge it could pick up a little moisture from condensation..I would only freeze unopened bottles anyways because they are packed with nitrogen gas I believe..an opened bottle would probably have moisture from the air and get ice crystals in it ruining the flavor possibly...

I have the 36 mg in PG - I also have 100% PG and 100% VG - just started DIY and been making my juices at 12 and 16 (trying to cut my nic level) But the thought of having 12, 16 or 18 mg at the 70/30 ratio would save me from that part of the mixing, which would be nice!

I just thought of something..it would be easy to mix a bottle of 70/30% PG/VG and just add it to 70/30% PG/VG nic to get any nic content you wanted..I think it would be too much work for Wizard Labs to offer the nic base in more levels...

I'll probably take it out of the frig and store it in basement - I did notice condensation on the outside of the bottles when I took them out.

Put that Nic right in the freezer dont even think twice about it,,, I've been storing it there for almost 3yrs now and have done test vs fridge, cool dark spot, and just on a shelf,, dont even worry about that condensation one bit, it isnt climbing up the bottle into it,, the Nic likes the cold and it will stay fresher longer and keep its clearer color and be best in that freezer long term all year long and some and some more :) thats that.

Thanks for the tip, I lack central air here at home, and was worried about keeping my nic in the fridge.

True but once you open the bottle it condensates on the inside unless you let it sit until to close to room temp..I prefer to keep my nic at a cool room temp..like I said though I won't be storing it more than 6 months really for those buying large quantities that will be stored over a year freezing is probably best...

Too bad they don't carry 18 mg 70/30% PG/VG - that would be perfect for me to just add flavor to.

Almost as easy to just get 60mg nic in VG and just add two parts PG to one part VG nic. By the time you got done flavoring it it'd be pretty darned close to 18mg 70/30 and if you liked the mix you could mix up an unflavored batch in advance ;)

But - I suggest everybody try working in straight VG at least once - I haven't used PG except for what's in flavoring since about a month after I started vaping ;)

Not to sound too .... about this :) but a half empty (or half full) 500ml bottle of nic juice has about 250ml of air space in it. If the bottle is allowed to warm to room temperature (about 22C) before opening, the air will have about 1% by weight of water vapor in it (at about 60%RH). 250 ml of air is about 300 mg, so the bottle will have about 3 milligrams of water vapor in it (one drop of water weighs about 50mg).

This moisture would easily be absorbed by the PG or VG in the Nic juice diluting it an undetectable amount. PG and VG normally absorb water vapor from the air anyway. In fact, by the time you get a repackaged bottle of PG or VG it probably has at least 1%, by weight, water in it already. That's like at least 5000mg of water in a 500ml bottle of PG or VG.

The Oxygen in the air will react and oxidize very small amounts of the Nicotine in the juice each time the bottle is opened. Exposing the Nicotine to electromagnetic radiation (heat, UV rays, cosmic rays) accelerates the oxidation.

To keep bulk as fresh as possible.
Open as few times as possible.
Keep very cool, and very dark.
Warm to room temperature before opening.
Leave open for the shortest possible period.
Don't store in the bottom of the closet with your running shoes.

Nic juice will not get 'Freezer Burn' like a Trout :)
