Wizard Labs Nic Base Reviews

So I know this kind of a stupid noob question, and may not be the ideal thread for it, but I'm just about to get my toes wet with DIY and have been browsing the WL site for the last couple days planning on some purchases. I have a newborn, so I'm looking to order lower concentrations of nic for safety reasons (small apartment), especially since it'll be my first time. Usually vape 18mg-24mg, so was considering buying the 36mg and dilluting 50%. However, since WL nic comes in a VG or PG base, couldn't I just theoretically add flavoring to their nic base without dillution? For instance, couldn't I add flavoring to 18mg PG and have slightly less than 18mg vapable PG juice? Or is this a misconception on my part? Once I have a little practice and am a little less overcautious about nicotine, I'll try higher concentrations and dillute, but for now I'd like to stay as safe and as comfortable as possible. Thanks in advance for any help/advice and please pardon my ignorance!

You're doing right by yourself and your newborn, and there is nothing noob or ignorant about your post :)

Your understanding is correct, and its probably the best way to start. If you get some 18 mg and then add 10% flavor, you'll end up with a 16.2 mg/ml juice

The only potential drawback (not really). If your flavor is PG based and you do this, you'll end up with a 100% PG juice, which may or may not be different than what you're used to.

If you use VG nic, you'll end up with a 90% VG juice, again, maybe different than what you're used to.

Either way no real problem. At worst you may find the 100% PG to be a thinner vape, and the high VG to be a thicker vape, but also thicker juice that doesn't want to play as nice with your gear (not sure what you're using, carto, atty, clearo, etc)

(Of course you can thin your VG with distilled water, I do, but then you're dropping your nic even more. If you can tolerate it, not exactly bad, but if you're teeter tottering on the edge of 'not enough nic' from your body's point of view as a relatively new vapor (just an ASSumption, for all I know you've been at it for years), your body might get angry and start sending you dirty pictures of a pack of unfiltered camels lol).

Say 5% flavor and 15% distilled water into your 18 mg base, then you end up with 14.4 mg/ml juice.

I suggest you buy 24 mg nic juice---alot of people start with that until they feel more comfortable.

Hello all, just place my first diy order from wizard. 240ml and six flavors for $25 shipped - this could become addictive. Like I need another one, LOL I hope you all are up to a lot of questions

Glad you decided to give the Wizard a go - you won't be disappointed!

What flavors did you get?

Can anyone tell me the difference between regular nic and "Ice" nic. Is it available all the time and how does it affect the flavor of the final product ejuice?

The WL Ice has been refined slightly beyond what the normal nic has. The normal nic has always been USP grade, but the goal of this extra step(s?) as I understand it is to reduce other trace elements such as myosamine, in the process creating a smoother, even more tasteless base. The goal has been met in my opinion. I order both varieties and love them both. I tend to do tobacco mixes with the standard product and Ice for fruit/sweet vapes.

nothing brings clarity without side by side comparison, so its really difficult to tell you verbally

basically, do you find the amount of TH/kick right for you, the particular kind and amount of 'interference' it adds to your recipes desirable/tolerable, and its intrinsic taste, smell etc desirable/tolerable.

those are all qualitative features of course :)

I'm relatively new to DYI'ing, but am sold on WL! My first order was under the concept that mixing at 5 to 10 percent flavor would be good, but I soon learned for my tastes, 20 - 25 percent is needed, so I way under ordered on flavors. I spent a year tasting, testing lots of flavors from various vendors and after my first DYI batch I told my wife I would not be buying any premix flavors again unless a emergency!!! I am grateful for that experience to help hone down the flavors that I like, but why buy so-so to good when you can mix exactly what you want!!! Now, I'm wasting a lot of time reading others receipts, wishing I had this or that flavor to try it! I've ordered my nicotine at 48 mg 70/30 PG/VG and mix to 16 to 18 mg, staying at the 70/30 mix. I just would prefer larger quantities of my favored flavors to be available!

Keep up the GREAT work Wizard Labs!!!!!

I've found I really like WL flavors as well, but the real reason I am replying is that I thought I was crazy because I kept wanting more of a strong flavor, and although I haven't tried mixing flavors at a 20% ratio, it appears that's the direction I'm heading on some flavors. I was beginning to feel like I was doing something wrong somewhere because I wanted a strong flavor even from my premixed juices. As someone new to all of this, it's easy to misinterpret all these signs. That's why I'm doing DIY, and although I might end up making some really bad-tasting juices, at least I'll find the limits of my flavorings.

I've been using the Ice for several months .. love it, love it!!! I had previously used nic from many different vendors, but once I tried the Ice it is all I've used since. I'm not into throat hit and find the Ice to be so smooth and has no "bite", it might not be the answer for those who love throat hit, but for me it's the very best.

What in the Hell !? This Ice nic is a flavor lovers dream. Since I've switched to RBA's I don't get much TH anyway. Now, I've never mixed a flavor at 1% and could taste it until it steeped. It took 2 weeks for my Anise to taste good. I just vaped the Ice nic w/ Anise, and it's delicious already. I could only imagine what it's going to taste like in time. As for the TH, I still feel it. I'm very happy with this nic. :)
