thx but no thx :)

I want to know if anyone has got a working build with 80pg/20vg.

yep its no problem. wick your coil like its a rda. trim the wick round the deck of the rta. (like a hair cut). put the barrel on. right before you start to screw it down. use the small flat head screw driver to move any excess wick off the threads and out of the juice channels. screw down the barrel. clean up the direction of the wick from the top.
soak the wick. test fire. fill and enjoy. my preferred build is a 26 .5/.6 ohm build with 2.5mm ID

That's exactly how I'm setup, but I'm just not getting tons of vapor. Then again I didn't get as much vapor from my subtank compared to videos online. I don't get it.

A little trick to produce more vapor for effect, not sure if it makes much difference in flavor, is to not purse your lips tightly on the drip tip. Simultaneously drawing some ambient air from outside the atty will significantly increase exhaled vapor.:thumb:

Weekend in review:

I took the Goliath out for the weekend, and used only this tank all weekend, so I could be as objective as possible, and see how it works (somewhat) long term, as a daily device.

I built some 2.4mm chimney coils in it, and they fit. It vaped great, and had some awesome flavor, but after about the 3rd time refilling the tank, the wick was jacked up and misplaced to the point of saying f-ckit, turning the coils sideways, and running a wick through the middle. I was being very gentle with taking the tank on and off, but it still messed with the wick pretty bad.

Vaping on the Goliath all weekend, here is the overview:

Pros: - Great vapor, nice and thick 'cloud'.
- Surprisingly good flavor.
- Never a dry hit.
- Fills quickly, and with no tools.

Cons: - Runs through juice, BADLY. Suffers from constant 'empty tank syndrome.'
Either the capacity sucks, or juice is magically disappearing.
Doesn't last long trips. Might as well be in the 'drippers' catagory.
- Wick needs constant adjustment after filling, even when gingerly handling the tank.

The pro's seem to outweigh the cons! However, for me, they don't. The capacity is the big killer for me. If I can't go 10 miles from my house without needing a bottle in my pocket, it's a fail in my book.

Soak a bit and tuck and press wicks into channels

Thread chimney on slowly, if it grabs back out and push that part back in. Then continue to thread on again slowly.

And trim with your moustache scissors

This is pretty much how my previous builds were & all I got was leakage. Seems like all that cotton in the channels was pushing juice out of the tank instead of up into it.

I saw this video posted before, watched it & decided to give his method a try. That was well over a week ago & haven't had a leak since. As a matter of fact I can actually leave my tank attached to a mod without worrying I'll have juice everywhere once I get back to it a few days later.

I also had good results with that method , i use 40/60:vapor:

So I have had this thing for a week and half now. rebuild it 10 times.

god I hate this thing. Never got a working build in it. coils too big. coil touching the chimney. coil touching the top part of the chimney. airflow too tight it pretty much spits juice in my mouth. Last build the coil worked and stuff...but then it wicked for .....

I can build kayfuns, lemos, billows and so on with my damn eyes closed but this thing. god I hate it. going to try two more times and then I am just selling it.

It's a very tough atty to build on. I will say I think there are quality control issues going around. I have 2 goblin v1.2s. One of them is fantastic, I've been using the same build for a month and just rewicking every few days and it's incredible. Probably the best vape I ever had. The other Goblin is just terrible. Same exact builds, but having the shorting issues you mentioned even at the same coil heights, gauge and diameter. Once I do get a build that works the flavor is muted or it floods. I guess you can't expect the world from a $30 piece of metal from China. If you have the money I think it's worth a shot to just buy another and play some russian roulette. It really is an amazing vape when working at it's peak.

Honestly I think I might try the Goliath. I always liked two post designs. makes centering coils so much easier.

if you prefer 2.5mm coils, don't get a goliath unless you're cool with using 26awg and up. The deck is freaking tiny. Actually its not necessarily the deck thats tiny, its the diameter of the chimney thats its problem. 2mm works with 24awg but it on the tight side and it's hard to make tidy builds. That said, I'm having some good success with it. I still prefer the goblin by a pretty wide margin.

Just a warning, Goliath has an even smaller build deck than the goblin. But yeah, I find it easier to center the coils on two post design as well.

Definately.

Built a .7 this afternoon on the Goliath....incredible....like it much better than the .3 build.

Man can these tanks suck through the joose.......:)
