Theres only 2 things that I think that the buzz could use:

1. A small led voltage display for setting the voltage that only displays when the device is in use so you can adjust on the fly and know exactly where you're sitting at voltage wise.

2. A small voltage adjustor knob, I believe that Don had made a suggestion of something small like what would be found on a watch and would either need to be pulled out or pushed in to make adjustments.

So far I'm happily inpressed with the buzz so far, just throwing my 2cents out there....

Hey BuzzKill - I've been looking around for a good explanation of variable voltage w/no luck - I'm vaping at 6v (V3) and I know that after I insert those freshly charged batts, every minute that passes, the voltage is changing (discharging) - so what electronics are required to maintain a constant voltage as your batts are losing charge?? - I'm assuming that is the goal of variable voltage - Thanks
Thanks for the input Don ! and I agree with you .
As a first gen device it will be mainly a technical device ( prove the design first ) then pretty it up and add the bells and whistles.

That is the reason I have a Provisional Patent Application in with the USPTO ( US Patent and Trademark Office ) .

As I am beginning to believe that this type of variable device may be an introduction to the future of vaping.

I am listening to the Vapers out there very closely , sometimes what appears to be the Holy grail is just a prelude to an unknown product .

My focus has been and will be the advancement of the technologies involved in these devices , Of course I will be working on the Holy Grail device as well.

Again thanks for your input.

Basically the BLUE led changes brightness with voltage ( it is hard to tell however ! ) we looked at some other ways to do it but nothing I have found so far really works .
We have talked about and tried several knobs , BUT they always break of or get caught on pocket linings etc. and screw the thing up

A voltage regulator does this function , check the modders section

I wonder if it would be possible to make a mod that can utilize that Duracell myGrid charging device. That way you can just set it down to charge(no need to remove the batts or mess with cables). I figure it might be accomplished with through the design of the mod itself. I haven't had a good look at one this might be more trouble than its worth.

The wheel is pure genius. Can't wait till it's on the Buzz V2.
Other ideas. Top it off like Infinity. Don't change brass bottom, easy to grip.
Solid body.
If a screw is needed (like the Phillips) use a smaller, better looking screw (Allen).
Put the power button on a different level than the wheel. Could they be stacked? Wheel up top and drop down for power button? I am always trying to push the light on mine now!
I love the feel (circumference) of my Buzz but it would be nice, if the new technology will allow, to make it shorter using one battery.

The plan at this time ( and it could change !) is to got to the Infinity type control wheel with NO voltage indicator of readout ( to me that has to be done really small and that is a custom part so $$$$$ )
use 2 batteries ( I have checked the specs on using one batt. vs 2 and the higher voltage is a better way to do it IMO it requires less current ) I also have the design done and it is very good ! we are still testing things on it now.

The ProVxxxxx uses a booster type circuit and so does the Darwxx they both need high drain batteries for this reason our design does NOT require high drain batteries .

the placement of the Infinity wheel to the button for me is good so far but we will look at it more.

Sounds great! I'm in! Two batteries are fine. I have the same four in rotation that I have been using every day since June. Still going strong and I don't have to change but once a day.

hey mike im not entirely sure if this is possibly with the numbered wheel potentiometer because you said that voltages vary slightly at the higher end....correct me if im wrong...but to include a small grid on a business card or something with the unit that shows the numbers on the wheel and their voltage...another user already did this with the infinity, for example 5 was 4.7V. its a small change, cheap change, but it takes a lot of the guesswork out of it for people who think a voltmeter is too hard or complicated to use

one more idea...to eliminate the wire that connects to the 510 connection and have straight metal on metal contact, it could possobly make it a lot easier to change the atty connection....pretty much just unscrew your 510 top and put on a 901 or whatever floats your boat...i hate to say it but when i was first in the market for a mod a while back i saw a popular video reviewer say the top could be changed but required some sottering etc, and it turned me off from the unit...if the top was just a simple unscrew and rescrew it'd kinda be foolproof instead of using the wire, might also make construction easier...

I looked at that but on the Infinity there is NO ROOM ! to do that , on the next Buzz I think I can do that ( good point and I have wanted to do that )
It may be an idea to have an extension for these new style tank attys that are hitting the market. If these take off it will put Ego etc on top as they are all they will fit it seems.
RC

Tank attys are so next week , these things are hot one month and gone the next so designing to one is not a good idea IMO .

Don't get me wrong I love my Buzz but there are a few things the Infinity has that would really help the looks and function of Buzz V2. Buzz v1 needs refining in the area of the function controls. As I said before an Allen screw would really help and I only use the little light to see the unit firing. The light in the wheel will serve that function. I can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with.

To me the real beauty of the wheel volt adjuster is ease of use. No more screw driver and voltmeter. No more taking the attie on and off, hooking up the voltmeter and start the whole process all over again if it's not right. All that’s really needed is the wheel with a centerline. Juice too harsh? bump it down. Too weak? bump it up. I can do that with my eyes closed! It doesn’t take too many drags to find "the spot". Other than its price, this is the huge advantage the Infinity has over the costly, bells and whistles, LCD's that have entered the market.

My hats off to you Mike this marketing strategy has been a thing of beauty to watch. Let the others go crazy chasing the miniscule techie market where apparently price is no object. Most folks don’t care how you get there; the bottom line on all of the VV’s is the ability to adjust to the sweet spot. The simpler the better. Everybody knows that 95% of the pie is looking at PRICE.

They do not make that type , I have seen them but I am sure it is a custom design

If they cannot put the numbers on the side ( small area ) I may have them do 3 slots at 33deg to each other and paint them blu , white ( center ) and red , this would give a good indication of the position
