They drilled out the tube to 19mm for the battery area ( hopefully, IF they followed the drawings ???? )

that's good, did they whine and ask for a bunch more $, about the long cut or figure out a way to do it without having to use their CNC machine. If they used CNC good luck with the fit or wall thickness, you'll see soon.
Ya we'll find out soon ? it really is not that bad of a cut IF positioned correctly in the chuck and you go slow .
While were just wasting time I have an idea: why dont you start making an Automatic Feed System or a Bottom Feed System? With your contacts to the machine shops you could get to market. Your KISS little push button bottles are the best thing I have used and its improved my vaping better than anything else since the buzz and what Ive read its the least efficient of the AFSs and its looking like the systems are coming to a workable solution here.
You dont get the respect deserved for the buzz, why worry about using others work to develop a marketable affordable product; its what we need now. IN the end these battles are won in the numbers of little boxes mailed with the ability to get to market. Youll keep wining with the number of boxes for a long time and those who dont respect your real innovation of putting the first truly adjustable out will still rag on anything you do so chuck it and piss them off and make us what we need NOW. I know you have been thinking about it, DO IT Mike.

Been thinking of the buzz for a bit now. A friend of mine got his and it is pretty cool. The only thing I can think of to make it better is...
Instead of paint maybe a stainless steel body or media blasted then that thing would look so bad ....

It is NOT painted Copper , it is anodized . Anodizing is very different than painting , it is a much harder more durable surface than paint.
I do like the stainless steel idea but the costs for small qty's would be pretty high .

The current tube should take a 18mm cell, the problem is that lip at the cap end.
If you do stuff like stainless steel, I hope you keep the original Al around for people who don't lift weights.
If you can't do it all with one board, a LR atty/18650 option might sell ... If you can do the tube without making it too big, which you should if that lip was taken down. Or is it functional, adding strength or something?

The new design has a 19mm hole in the end , they just missed that on this last run ??? any how in the future I will get it done correctly
Ya SS is heavy stuff , I am looking at chrome plating the aluminum instead so you have a great finish but in aluminum weight .
Also buffed aluminum is a cool look that is done all the time on custom cars.

Black chrome is very cool. I have no idea of the cost or if it works with aluminum.
the digital reader i have on my box serves as a battery charge level indicator as well. i dont know why im saying it but i think its cool that when i see that i only get 3.5 under load (running on single batt mode bypassing variable) its about time to pop my charger into the usb on the box

Ya too big to use , I need a MINI LCD display like 14mm x 6mm or so , they are custom
I am looking at some thumbwheel pots that can be set into the side like an old Tape player type that are numbered
the slide look good for something other than the buzz, it looKs too big. I think if you are going keep it it the nice tube (and that tube is NICE) has to be a an adjustment the user makes with a SD, we all deal with it,the whiners won't buy one, KISS for the tube Buzz.
