When I rewicked my 0.39 ohm titanium coil a few minutes ago, I decided to try a rayon wick again. It's working well. Thanks to @DavidOck I have a lifetime supply of rayon.

Some people say organic cotton has no taste, other people say rayon has no taste, etc. I think every wick material has a taste, and it's now confirmed again that I prefer the taste of organic cotton. However, this rayon wicking tastes good enough, so I'll now keep using this rayon wick to see if it lasts longer than the approximately two weeks (about 60 ml of joose) I get from organic cotton wicks.
What temp does rayon wick start to scorch at?

sleep has apparently escaped me like ...

{oops-- forgot where i was-- let's try }

... an old, old friend?

... a fragrant scent caught and lost in the gentle breeze?

... a feeling or touch that you fear that you may never touch again?

yeh, that's it
:)
Me too. Trying now with no luck. Another sleepless night. :nah:

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes everyone. Although I did not have cake, I did have some super yummy peanut butter cookies from the Amish bakery we visited before leaving Lancaster, PA. Sooo yum!
NO CAKE! Shame on him. Not a birthday without German Chocolate Cake!
(and having the wait staff sing! NOT!)

when i was 15 or 16, i told my mom to stop making me birthday cakes and instead just stir-fry some snow peas for my birthday. we grew all of our own vegetables back then, but my first taste of snow peas were from somewhere else, and i was smitten.

hey-- it was the 60's :)

that tradition stuck with me for many, many, many, many years. . .

nowadays, i can barely tolerate snow peas

but that German Chocolate cake sounds mighty fine
:)

Cover with a paper towel, 30 seconds in the microwave and it's not cold anymore.
back before we had microwaves, and when you could actually leave stuff sit out overnight without worrying about all kinds of food born illnesses.....we'd leave it sit in the box, on top of the stove and eat it room temp for breakfast. (in my case at lunchtime).

 Hope everyone is having a wonderful day. . .
Hope you are too sweetie!!

dang, doesn't anybody work on Sun.s anymore?!:D
My son does, but judging by the crowds at all the restaurants on Sunday, you would think no one else does. lol Many do though.

I have a GoPro3 I can hook up to my QX3
Have you used the GoPro for other things? If so, what do you think about it and what type do you have? Someone had suggested that to Kay for filming at the Odyssey but don't really know anything about them.

But last night my birthday dinner was cream of crab soup, crab dip and crab cakes. We are in Maryland, jist oitside Baltimore. Delish! Tomorrow a stop in Virginny overnight
Dag nabbit!!! Haven't been on much the last couple days. Belated birthday wishes!!! Keep on celebrating sweetie!!

unfortunately, Matt, this was Baby Caesar's pizza
They'll probably still do it. I used to do that on purpose just to get em to do it fresh. Even though here, there made up ones don't sit long. Not good pizza by any stretch, but if you're starvin and broke.....it fills the belly for $5.00

In our family - the birthday person get to choose their goody
We do that too whenever possible, as well as what they want for supper. Often my "cake" of choice is brownies with ice cream, hot fudge sauce, and maraschino cherries with juice all over it. I love chocolate covered cherries! Even make fudge like that.

Question: anyone here ever heard of "Senorita Bread"?
I hadn't before, but it looks yummy! Looks like something we stuff a sausage, cheese and jalapenos into and call Kolaches. (koh lah chees) for anyone wondering.

We take the houndette to have her stitches removed today.
yay!!! glad she's healed up so nicely!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day today!!!

Sounds unnecessarily overcomplicated to me. If you can program the TCR into the mod, why is it necessary to also be able to program a temperature offset? Until I know better, I maintain that any TC mod can be used with any type of wire.

Maybe. But if the TC device isn't programmed for the correct TCR its temp regulation won't be as accurate. How inaccurate would depend on how different the TCR is. Might be just a few degrees, might be a lot.

And it's not programming a temp offset. It's telling the program how much the resistance will change with a given temp change. A positive TCR, like that given, means the resistance goes up with increasing temp, and if that value is way off, then the amount of power delivered to hold a temp will be off as well, with unpredictable results.

Now, I'm just speaking as a retired dam electrician, don't have a TC mod in my stable. I'll let all you guinea pigs work the bugs out for me :)

unfortunately, Matt, this was Baby Caesar's pizza.

i don't think they actually "make" anything. it might even be 3D printed...
Can't stand Ceaser's or Papa John's or Cici's. Domino's & Pizza Hut for me. But I love anchovies on my pizzas & the only place I can get that now is Village Seafood & Pizza. (i know, but they do both really well!) Once in awhile I'm allowed to get one with half anchovies. The Mom doesn't like them & swears she can taste them on her half & i'm sure the smell leaches into the other side. I think the answer is seperate pizzas! Whoop! Private pizza!

Only had that one time, decades ago, so don't recall exactly, but seems to me that it wasn't as bad as I'd thought it would be, and might have even been kinda tasty. Have been curious about it since, but always too scared to try it again lol

Celebrate a birthday for a whole week???? I celebrate the whole month!!! I don't understand people who don't celebrate their birthday....you get cake!

Happy birthday clnire!!!! Hope you have a fabulous month celebrating!!!!

Happy_Birthday_Puppy.jpg
I tried celebrating for a month once. But only got one cake....not so good by the end of the month. And had to eat teeny tiny slices to try to make it last. So month long birthdays went away. My sister celebrates for a whole month, so we send her cards all month. It's been a family joke. We collect cards all year long & now have her 4 kids doing it, too. I guess she celebrates for a month, but the rest of the family has to work year round just to get ready for the month of March. She's tricky like that!

2legs sent me some nickel wire while back and now that I have a TC device I'll be darned if I can find it. I will but, who'd a thought it would be this hardhard. Probably in the last place I'll look!
So go to the last place first. I thought we had this figured out!

Ah, the grate peenza debate! Nothin like the local shops. But since I moved... no local shops I've discovered yet that don't suck.

Dunno if Ceasers and little ceasers are on in the same but I do like little ceasers. Used to like domino's til they changed the recipe. Never got that. They were number 2 in the pizza chains. Peenza hut iz one. So they change the recipe. Um... whut? Makes no sense to just add a new "style"? Never liked pizza hut at all. (Hay, we iz all different!)

I craved salt when I was pregnant. I couldn't get enough salt. I got my very own anchovy pizzas. I offered to share but had no takers! Anchovies are only good on a Supreme pizza, they just work well with all the other stuff.
